Riders recruited heavily from the NCAA ranks this summer - college basketball. Normally you wouldn't have Riders gamble that heavily on players straight from college. They may add one or two but went with a number. Normally under coach Rob, they'd sign players with at least a year of pro basketball in Europe and/or the BBL. Given London Lions are near on absolutely going to win the league, it appears the Riders decide to roll the dice this year on recruitment to see if they could perform better than other players. Nothing to lose really.
