There’s a definite rise in young people turning right politically. Other shifts are that constituents to the outskirts of cities particularly with academic basis will go Lib Dem or Green. Similar Asian communities support will soar towards Tories over the next few elections. The ironic piece to the first shift is that these young people who have suffered at the hands of the austerity cuts on public services. In the process they have got angry. It’s often that initial part of your life which forms politicals. My childhood was during New Labour and opportunities opened sigifnicantly for kids of my upbringing during that period. I often have to smile inwardly when the corporate folk I deal with getting very angry about Labour yet the whole growth in affluence for most millennials owes a lot to Blair’s early policies

It’s a swipe which had the cold evidence of the Brexit vote demographical splits to give it truth.

You are poorer under Labour because of decisions made by Boris and his subsequent replacements. Tough financial decisions. Unless the next government is going to shit money out of their backsides the same is continuing
-
Doesn’t need to be here. Imagine the scenes when communities across inner city areas are in riots ala Maggie’s spell in 1980s in Toxteth, Brixton, Handsworth et al

Chaps, there’s a full non league thread in general sport

Latest strategy fron their comms. Good article on it by the BBC. I’d say it’s incredibly high risk by them as it’s setting a line for their second yesr in power which will be astonishingly dofficult to keep

David Yelland, former editor of that leftist hotbed The Sun, mentioned on Twitter this weekend that three newspaper editors were actively gunning for Rayner which included journalists constantly outside her front door(s). They’ve been trying the best part of the year to get a story they can make stick.

Btw if the country want to elect reform, we will get what we deserve. If you think we have problems now, the consequences of them being the majority party would be horrific and downright destroy society. If you think Rayner has been wrong, the characters they even collected up to date as MPs are downright awful. It says a lot when Lee Anderson would be considered the most ethical. Two of their current MPs shared their time with the US and Dubai with a clear hand in the fossil fuels market. Another has an offence for assaulting a women. One of their mayors is a boxer and another wants a spot on Britains Got Talent. If that’s their best, then what’s coming down the track? Equally I don’t think a lot of people underneath how ****ing crippling Liz Truss’s budget was and how that completely pushed everything under stress and strain. It made decent people have to find money to pay substantial increases in their mortgages and how that’s played into everything is understated by many

I’d argue it’s equally the Tories fault for an inability to completely absorb the right leaning voters. Especially considering the financial backing they have at hand. A good democracy requires good opposition of varying political views to reign it in

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)

Beacon Hill PR is a good old toughie -
My own gut is that he would quickly resign or not even be the Reform Leader into the GE. Far too much scrunity and transparency required. He can’t trouser as much money as he can right now

Play us the greatest hits again.

I genuinely think a number of players are excited about disrupting the system with LCL. The way the women's game has aped the mens game is depressing for something which so is fresh and at the core of it still pure.

Bellamy in his post match interview mentioned that some players were with the squad on Sunday and training across Monday while 'others' didn't join up until Tuesday cos they were busy with a transfer. Only James fits that criteria so it's pretty clear why he didn't start. Neither did David Brooks who's started the season very well.

Bingo even if as a leftie, I can say she was tarnished. It would be held against her and the government. Letting it linger was self-damage. Kill the whataboutery immediately.

He's a weird bloke. Actively disliked amongst the journos pack.

Where’s my £25 season ticket card money gone?

They didn't make a big enough thing of it when they did those 4 charity match days. -
He was born in the UK

The whole RvN/baby thing is now irrelevant. RvN is gone. Winks still has a cob on. Maybe the club didn't back him at the time but the fella needs to stick it behind him else it's Watford, QPR, Charlton or Orient for the foreseeable of his future career.

Airport arrest. Normally disproportionate - particularly post Manchester Airport incident. Especially when you consider the average arrest Police make from disembarking passengers (normally intoxicated)

TNT have two games a weekend as well. Hopefully they show some Vardy.

You will from April next year annoyingly - plus the new EU biometrics in place from 12 October (going to be part of our check-in procedures when travelling now)

You pinpoint at the great issue with Parliament. Too many people making decisions which directly benefit themselves than the wider public. The conflict of interests undermines everything
