  1. It's fair enough that, that is your opinion. But you don't see how they perform day in and day out at training. The messaging HAS to be that you earn your spot. It might be that the youngsters are taking longer to learn the patterns of play, or they aren't quite physically strong enough. They will all get chances this year. Relax.
  2. Ultimately, he made positive changes when the circumstances dictated it. SW dropped deeper... Bring on Faes who is a better ball carrier than okoli. Went down to 10 men, bought on daka for Justin. Gives Monga a chance. He can't do more than that really. Hooked skipp at half time too. I like that approach.
  3. Like it or loathe it, we are a ton better with winks in the side.
  4. 🤣🤣 No, we live in Ashby. We bought our house for £489,000 in 2021.... It's now worth £650,000.
  5. Me and my wife earn roughly £140,000 between us... Based on house price inflation, we could no longer buy the house we live in as lenders wouldn't give us a mortgage big enough. We recognise how fortunate we are with our combined incomes against the general population, but it's a sobering thought!
  6. To my mind, the deposit is Less of an issue... It's the multiple of income required to get a mortgage of size to afford the house. If you are single and earning £60k, you could only borrow £240,000..... that doesn't buy much house in a nice area.
  7. these are the salaries required as a single person, assuming a 10% deposit, for house prices ranging from £150,000 - £250,000.... Average UK wage is around £38,000.......... it's a massive mountain to climb for alot of people who aren't professionally qualified or in a career with increasing salaries.... it's not insurmountable obviously... but it's a struggle.
  8. do professional footballers act as PAYE employee's? or are they set up as a ltd company that sell's their services? I genuinely have no idea by the way... genuine question...
  9. Could see it being Thomas..... Not that I agree with that. I like the idea of it being Nelson
  10. Across 46 league games and the cups, they will all get minutes. If they are good enough, they will force their way in. If they aren't, they won't. It's that simple.
  11. so if I'm understanding correctly.... you don't see a place in our starting 11 for Ricardo.
  12. Well I'm assuming you are counting the "10" role as a Midfielder role.... which both of those could fit into. because if you aren't.......... Then you want two extra Midfield roles for what amounts to only 2 positions. Wilf and Soumare "might" get sold or loaned out... IF someone wants them. Assuming they do........ that leaves us: - Winks, Skipp, Choudhary and Ricardo who "could" all play the 2nd Midfielder role next to Winks (I'm assuming he will be our pivot) Page could also be slowly fed in to that position and a starting berth in the squad if he performs well (Jury is still out yet) that's still 6 possible players for 2 roles. Aluko, Justin are more likely to play right back than Choudhary.... as it stands Thomas is likely to be our starting left back. (with a rotation option in Justin) I have a genuine feeling that we won't actually sign anyone in the summer window other than Begovic as a back up keeper if those rumours are true. When you factor in the younger players that are on the cusp of breaking through, our squad is far far too large - both for playing opportunities and for wages at this level.
  13. this feels like "hope" rather than any concrete links anywhere. The only player with any seeming outgoing interest at this point is Bilal. I guess we will wait and see, but i'd be amazed if we signed 2 central midfielders.
  14. Skipp, Winks, Ricardo, Choudhary, Page, Soumare, Ndidi Also depending on the system Alves, Monga, Bilal.... we also potentially have Braybrook and Golding in the Youth Ranks... And you want two more??!?!?!?!?! until the offload a few, no one else is coming in for our Midfield slots surely.....
  15. Monga is basically our version of the Raheem Sterling that broke through at Liverpool.
  16. Would you prefer that or skipp being 40 yards further back?
  17. It will most likely be Faes and Nelson in defence and Winks and Ndidi in midfield with Bilal in front. Mavididi and Fatawu out wide with Monga and Mcaterer coming on against tired legs. Hamza or Ricardo at Right back will.offer a bit of cover. We know from last time that Ndidi is effective on the underlap.
  18. I can't not see the kit without a sponsor and see Chelsea...
  19. Maybe the police could trade some of their pension provision for up front salary? but ultimately, in terms of total reward change, Police have fared better than doctors across the same timescales. Employer pension contributions increased from ~21.3% → 31% (2020–2023) → 35.3% from April 2024.... That's a crazy high pension even by public sector standards!
  20. I allowed for that caveat with "virtually everyone".
  21. i think you'll find virtually everyone in the population has had a pay decrease in relative terms over the last 15 years.
  22. i was being heavily ironic.
  23. yeah it's definitely "the government" trying to provoke a reaction.

    Dogs

From my research, the cavalier king Charles is a relatively quiet dog and doesn't really bark that much (accepting that all dogs bark) - I do know a cavapoo is more vocal.
