  1. If he doesn't resign Hodgson-style before his post-match interview there's something wrong.
  2. He's not the octopus that Wilf & Kante is/was, but he does those 10yard passes that just retain possession, passing from deep to a full back for eg who then passes back to you This works absolutely great if you then look up to make longer passes forwards, but Puel obviously won't look up for the runners. What we need is someone with a longer passing range like Garry Parker, or Cambiasso, but under the current management I'm not sure it will work
  3. Vardy scores more of his chances than Salah If only we passed forwards more often instead of 100 passes in front of our own keeper, then he'd be on even more this season
  4. I don't follow European football beyond big CL games, but they'll be plenty of Pochettinos out there If Mike Ashley is up to his usual tricks, dangle our presumably massive transfer budget in front of Benitez Wagner has done a great job & now Huddersfield are as good as safe his 'journey' with them is arguably over Marco Silva is available (we should've gone for him at the time I thought) Howe delivers time after time, and plays good football There's loads of options, I'd put Puel down as the worst of those I've mentioned
  5. Mahrez King Benny Fuchs Huth Musa Ulloa (on loan thanks to his presumed wages) Jak who appears to below Hamer Maybe Ndidi & Maguire
  6. He makes forward passes, Puel wouldn't play him
  7. I think he'd be a good CDM, he's got the effort & energy to keep up with the game, can tackle well & he's got an eye for an early or long ball, which is what we desperately miss & would be useful from deep position
  8. In the league we've only scored more than one goal once since January 1st We go through most games not having a shot on target for 65-75mins The concerns people had when he was appointed have become true
  9. Where have you been ALL YEAR? This happens every single week at home
  10. Puel still living off the fact we massively underperformed in the opening games & played some tough teams meaning our position in the table was fals... a semi-trained chimp would have seen an upturn in results Especially as he maintained the style that brought our success But as he's pressed his vision further & further on the team, we've got worse again... Often boring... and at home we've only scored more than one goal ONCE since new year's day.... Despite having unbelievable attacking talent They won't get a Lambert in, they never have & never will.
  11. That's quite selective, you could say Puel's record has the post-Shakey period where the players were performing for their professional pride after flirting with relegation zone Since the turn of the year, we've generally played weaker sides - and tbh we've been severely lacking on the motivation side and rarely get going every single week until 65mins+ when we're chasing the game
  12. On only two occasions this year we've scored more than 1 goal in a home game in the league - And both those were over 2 months ago Puel's non-scoring reputation, that most people were concerned with when he was appointed, has got more & more true the longer he's had influence on our players Did those 1st two months where he got good results & climbed the table from our false position flatter to deceive, bearing in mind he only tweaked our tactics & we generally played the same style we always had? or is he on the cusp of securing a regular top 6 spot in line with the owners long-stated wishes?
  13. tbf it's not Kasper's fault that it's been months since we scored more than 1 at home Puel's first month or so in charge where he kept our counterattacking style, obviously flattered to deceive & now he's implemented his full tactics the goals have all but dried up & opposition only needs to score once to get a result For months now, the concerns people had when Puel was being appointed, generally negative with no goals.... is proving true
  14. WAT? He's criminally bad, why he's playing every week is beyond me, even if we now have 8 friendlies between now & May
  15. Only because we adopted a hybrid system where we played a higher line, rather than defend deep ourselves invite the opposition into our half & then counter Chelsea defended deep last night, Vardy barely got a touch, Mahrez was playing in front of them & we had absolutely nothing, other than harmless possession It's been 2 months since we scored more than 1 goal at home, it's absolutely shocking how lethargic one of the hardest working squads in the country has become in just a few short months
  16. I think so too, Iheanacho & Diabete coming off the bench on 60, not 70+ would be positive subs once Okazaki has ran them into the ground
  17. Okay, with the way that's worded, I agree totally We are slow at build up though, often favouring retaining possession over looking to get to their box - Maybe that will come with a few personnel changes, or if not a change of manager at some point.
  18. Was poor today, however watching the dross we churn out at home most weeks is enough to dampen spirits, coupled with the fact we barely had a chance on goal & resorted to Simpson punts in the box as our only option.... as Chelsea didn't have to get out of 1st gear until 70mins
  19. He's not played negatively until relatively recently, they just don't have goalscorers for this level of football, they had a good go at everyone for first half of season & to still be within a chance of staying up is a relative achievement, never mind largely staying out bottom 3 for 75% of the season
  20. Why? Fast transitions are everything that is good about us, and our biggest successes in 136 years
  21. Wagner would have been great, I know he wouldn't leave Huddersfield when we were looking, but still
  22. Couple that with almost no effort...
  23. Iheanacho needs loaning out, not playing sporadically & as a sub He's nowhere near good enough to start for us, get him at a top Championship club or someone like Brighton/Huddesfield/Swansea
