Non-League Football 2023/34
Leicesterpool replied to CosbehFox's topic in General Football and Sport
I think it was fixture pile that they had last season affected there title challenge. I seem to recall they played two of the bottom three in the last run up and failed to win. Come the play offs they ran out of steam. Still gets me how Rushall got promoted, they only won one 1 of their last six. They were in terrible form going into play offs. In fact come the play offs they failed to win in playing time in both games. Came down to pens both times. -

still peanuts really... considering Fa Cup is like £50million. Plus the clubs that win the Fa Cup tend to not need the money. I do think if the prize money was to say a million pound a winner the competition would be took seriously. -

Imagine if Everton get another 10 point deduction which very much relegate then long alongside that end up with a transfer embargo. Everton may find themselves stuck in the championship for some time. -
Sports direct and JD constantly flogging Spuds shirts but im not convinced there supported as much as they think. I would say they fan base is no greater than villa, Newcastle or even leeds for that matter.
-
Im terms of the most supported club in the country. Which of these three you think as the most? Man Utd, Liverpool or Chelsea. Man City im not sure would go ahead of arsenal in facebase despite recent success.

PET HATES FROM COMMENTATORS/PUNDITS
Leicesterpool replied to OnlyOneCity's topic in General Football and Sport
Pundits favoring the bigger six, screaming when arsenal or Chelsea score. -
Tigers are probably like the Man Utd of football, very successful and attracted fans all over. For years Tigers were once the dominant force of rugby union.
-
Mind Northampton kind of covers the midlands too.. but I would say more southern midlands.
-
Maybe because Tigers have always been strongest Rugby team throughout the midlands. Until wasps fake franchise turned up, the only decent midlands top flight rugby team was The Tigers. The tigers represented the region pretty much.

Loughborough is a weird one Leicestershire town, but whenever I've there more Forest fans I've seen than Leicester. Nuneaton super divided, taking out the big six. It's very much Leicester, Villa, Coventry, Birmingham, West Brom or even weirdly a few Stoke. Stoke is wild weird one. But seen a few Stoke shirts here and there around the town. Hinckley 97% leicester, but every so often you see the odd Villa or Cov fan but my guess they have moved from somewhere else to Hinckley. Barwell is defo all Leicester, you don't dare wear any other shirt round their Coalville is more Leicester, but then again you seen the occasional Derby fan, but very limited.

Non-League Football 2023/34

Boro first game with new manager Kyle Storer in charge ended in a 0-3 defeat at St Ives Town. No surprise really with the amount of exits this think about five players left, six players from the academy needed to be drifted in. The club got on embargo as well now so replacing players not going to be easy. All i can say is the eight game winning run we had between October and Mid December, may have just have secured enough points to avoid relegation, but we will still exist come next season anyway. Apparently some positive news may come out this week. -
Tv companies and sponsors nightmares 😆

Can imagine ticket sales at west brom are awkward... west brom fans buying tickets for wolves derby in mind but then Brentford win there stuck with tickets with west brom v Brentford
