  1. Big games in the Southern League Central this weekend, though of course Stratford Town still need to play there game in hand against Alvechurch which may not take place till next Monday after the rest have finished their fixtures. So some teams may not know till Monday if they have made the play offs, unless Stratford lose on Saturday. AFC Sudbury v Harborough Town - Harborough need a win to secure a play off spot, other wise hope other score go their way. AFC Telford v Royston Town - Telford will be wanting to secure an home advantage in the play offs, it's not impossible they could finish second if Kettering lose. Barwell v Spalding Utd - Barwell down if they lose, a point maybe enough if Redditch Utd lose. Barwell could stay up even if Redditch win but hope need to hope if Bishop Stortford get nothing against Bromsgrove. Bedford Town v Stourbridge - Simple Bedford only need a point to be crowned champions Bromsgrove Sporting v Bishop Stortford - Bishop Stortford need a win to be certain of survival, draw maybe enough but could get tight if Barwell and Redditch Utd both win and with the goal difference tight, Bishop Stortford could still end going down even if they draw. Kettering Town v Banbury Utd - A win secures second spot at minimum, but if Bedford lose. Kettering will be champions due to the better goal difference. A defeat with a huge goal swing they could drop to 3rd, which guarantees home advantage in the semi finals of the play offs however could mean an away trip in the final. Redditch Utd v Hitchin Town - Redditch Utd weirdly a win maybe not enough due to the tight goal difference, if for example Redditch Utd only secure a narrow win against Hitchin and Barwell better their score. They could still go down, they would need to hope Bishop Stortford gain nothing at Bromsgrove Sporting. At present the goal difference works in Redditch United's favour. St Ives Town v Stratford Town - With Stratford's game in hand, it may still leave things unresolved until Monday for that last play off spot. If Harborough or Stamford win the wait won't be needed as it will be decided. If neither Harborough or Stamford pick up wins on Saturday and Stratford do beat St Ives. They must beat Alvechurch in their last game and better their goals difference by three goals. Stratford need maximum of six points to stand any hope. Stamford v Halesowen Town - Tasty one this, Stamford will be needing a favour from Sudbury. Win for Stamford and Harborough don't win, it's Stamford in the play offs, a draw maybe enough for Stamford to sneak into the play offs but would need Harborough to lose. However they maybe forced to wait if they draw especially if Stratford Town win. Halesowen will be keen to secure the home advantage, of course need a favour from Royston, if they can hold off Telford they could nick third. Exciting weekend in the southern league central.
  2. Bank Holiday would be a nice touch, even if it's just a day for the English. Then give bank holidays for St Andrews Day for Scottish and ST David Day's for the Welsh, each nation get one extra day off. I found ironic how we got a coronation bank holiday and royal wedding bank holiday.
  3. Gloucester have already been in the national league north so wont be an issue for them. Plus potentially means a sort of derby with Hereford FC.
  4. Big game at Barwell as they fight relegation. Got the same amount points as fifth from bottom Redditch Utd, but goal difference leaves them in the bottom four. Barwell face Spalding Utd, who with a huge goal swing could still make the play offs or be it a miracle, Redditch home to already relegated hitchin, whilst also Bishop Stortford are far from safe who have tougher task away at Bromsgrove sporting. Kettering Town have still have one little hope of the title if they can win and Bedford lose. Both are at home, with Kettering with better GD.
  5. With the National League at present with three of the bottom four being southern teams we may see Bedford Town who are currently top of the Southern League Central going into National League north and maybe Hemel Hempstead Town being moved from the National League South to the National League North. No doubt there will be probably be big stink from Hemel Hempstead about the extra traveling.
  6. Farke is another expert manager in the championship but terrible in the Premier league. In his defence his only time in the Premier league was with Norwich where had no budget to work with.
  7. Wilshire was never even that good of a player but you never know he maybe a decent at management
  8. Another 28 years later trailer recently been released, looks good and for the first time in two years i"ll be returning to the cinema to see a movie that actually looks appealing.
  9. Seem to recall Sir Keir Starmer said he would do this... yeah once again another broken promise. Why break habit of a lifetime lol.
  10. To be fair St Davids Day gets forgot about... wouldn't be able to tell you the date unless i google it.
  11. Perhaps doesnt get promoted much as say St Patricks Day. I seem to recall at my school at Juniors every year there would be a non uniform day for St Georges, kids were asked to come wearing england tops. Dont do that anymore... might offend someone 🤨
  12. Another name to consider is Slavisa Jokanovic, done a decent job at Fulham a few seasons in terms of building and developing them.
  13. Under 21s is more about the coaching rather the managing
  14. The only reason I think Carsley is being linked is because Gary Lineker suggested him for the job on his podcast to replace Cooper. I'd be very surprised if Dumb and Dumber have even heard of him.
  15. Taylor wasn't a bad manager, he was just crap at Leicester. The premier league was just a step to big for him.
  16. Carsley comes across as someone who doesn't like to be in the lime light, he always looked uncomfortable when doing media interviews. He's a nice bloke when he was watching his lad at Nuneaton Town, he's always friendly with supporters and happy to have a chat and do selfies and even stands with the fans. Proper down to earth. Takes the Leicester job... he won't have that freedom no more.
  17. Cooper we will probably face in the championship. West Brom wouldn't surprise me.
  18. Carsley lives in Kenilworth so location wise its perfect for him. But im not sold on Carsley. Its difficult to assess a manager in under 21s level. When he was in caretaker charge of England first team, i thought he looked a little out of his depth in moments and i dont think he enjoyed the experience.
  19. Carsley regularly down at Nuneaton Town every week watching his son play anyone wants to ask him lol.
  20. from London Derry?
  21. SOS for Spoons?
  22. Unlikely to happen but is a good time for a push for a fans forum at the club, in order to get an idea of what went wrong the season and what is the plan for the club for the next seasons in terms of direction. Invitation for Rudkin, Top and Whelan... not sure something BBC RL could arrange. If Top is still got ambition for the club then it's time he came out and met the fans to share his plans.
  23. He knows what ever happens... he's got a mass pay off coming!
  24. Dumb and Dumber
  25. Well our big return to the Premier League was short and sweet. Half of me wishes we never got promoted last season, to experience a doss of a season like this. Today strangely was improved performance and maybe even deserved a point.
