  1. Danny ings would be class in the championship
  2. Jamie Vardy £1million, people thought we were daft paying that much for a non league player. However money well spent and looking back cheap. Million pounds bought us a championship, premier league and fa cup winner.
  3. Easier chance of silverware for him
  4. His sides do play attractive but hes a manager who as no plan b. Its all go for it attack which is good to watch, but defence they look awful. It wouldn't surprise me though if we were to approach him though.
  5. Does anyone remember when Spurs requested to change a ref when it turned out he was from leicestershire.. kevin friend even though he was supposedly a Bristol City fan.
  6. Liam Manning would be interesting appointment better than Martin. Still other better candidates though.
  7. I know a former player of Hinckley Utd who played alongside described as a thug. He once was arrested for on suspicion assaulting someone following a night out in the town an hour before kick off. He was let go due to lack of evidence. Apparently known for violent behaviour. There was one story about threatening a neighbour after someone reported him playing loud music until the early hours.
  8. Guy at my work mentioned there was talk moving their final to sixfields inorder to help increase numbers on the gate. Looks like they decided to keep the fixture burton latimer.
  9. I wont be surprised if we go in for Zaha hes 32. Likely not got no pace for Premier League and recently ruled out a return to Palace despite citing he wouldn't mind a return to England. Be linked numerous times with us.
  10. I won't be at all surprised next season if both Birmingham and Wrexham will be both be in the top six next season in the championship, both got the squads and finances to put together another promotion push.
  11. Daft as it sounds imagine chanting the manager we want, wonder if the board would take note
  12. Off to Blackpool tomorrow for the week and catching a game at Bloomfield Road Saturday, I may return to Vardy finale.
  13. Boro couldn't quite do the double the season as we lost in the Midland Floodlight Cup final, losing 0-1 to Cradley Town. The only goal of the game from an error at the back which left sub goalie and usually striker Louis Baker playing in goal... (no sub goal on Boro bench) completely stunned. However fantastic atmosphere from the Boro faithful, who took an incredible 1,000+ following. Three coaches full travelling from Nuneaton. Our biggest away following in nearly a decade. I'm not sure of the attendance never was announced but I reckon 1,700 across the one stand that was open with 300 from Cradley. I'm not sure Walsall FC were fully prepared for the evening, just 6 stewards in charge. Just 4 turnstilles open, 2 in each end even though one gate had a 1,000 plus go through. Food kiosk only open person serving a burger would take 10 minutes for each customer. Also pre-booked tickets went missing for many supporters who came to collect. Despite the result been a great season and it was good evening out at EFL ground, nice to see so many from Nuneaton travel up.
  14. Interesting enough I think the year Cov reached the play off final, they had to play Middlesbrough in the semi finals. So could Cov heartbreak Middlesbrough again or sweet chance of revenge for the smoggies.
  15. Cov v MBoro is like play off qualifier.
  16. Despite the defeat nice little earner for Anstey. Club certainly has grew quite fast.
  17. Was at the Barwell game yesterday and wow they were so poor, Spalding were a class above them on every level. 0-2 down at half time, word then got out that Bishop Stortford were losing, so very all to play for in terms of survival but within 30 seconds of the second half it was 0-3 to Spalding. After that it was wave after wave attack from Spalding and Barwell just couldn't handle them. The problem for Barwell and this typical Ginnelly is the age of squad, most of the players are like 35+ with the youngest player on field about 31. Ironically five of the Barwell players that played, featured in the play off final only two years ago with Nuneaton Borough. Leroy Lita came on in the second half and was probably the player that made the most impact even though he's about 43 now. Ginnelly gave up at 0-5 and sit and hid in his dugout for the rest of the match. Same issues he had at Boro, just signs he players he knows and plays them even if there fit or not. Glorified pub manager at the end of the day, he's been lucky in the past to have had good coaches by his side. A couple of ex leicester players playing the legend Liam Moore in the Spalding line up and Ash Chambers up top for Barwell.
  18. As poor as Man City have been this year, they somehow reach a final.
  19. I know a school teacher who lives near cardiff, been living there 12 years. Said youd never or see here off anything of Wrexham especially with being South Wales. But he says in the last couple of years hes seen more Wrexham in Cardiff... than Cardiff City fans. How far is Wrexham from Cardiff?
  20. Probably pushed, i think Vardy wanted to do maybe a couple more years then retire. But wages must have been too much.
  21. I know need sick bucket everytime wrexham play. Bet its peeing off the other welsh clubs.
  22. Just seen a story from yesterday that Mansfield Town midfielder Lucas Atkins as been jailed for 14 months, following death by dangerous driving. Strange that he killed the poor guy nearly three years ago, yet only just going for prison it. In the meantime he's carried on playing football. I remember seeing him at Burton Albion and thought he was a good player, sadly his career comes to end with a prison sentence. Least the family finally get their justice.
