Martin O'Neill the same back in 2011, for about 2 weeks their was so many links and stories about a emotional return to Leicester. According O'Neill it was nothing more than one quick conversation... the board wanted Pearson.

West Brom still to name a manager, wont be surprised if hes speaking to them also... Go to the Baggies Russ

Looks like road rage kicked in. From the videos seen early he was honking the crowds to move out the way... some Liverpool fans appeared gesture towards reminding him theres a parade on. Suddenly he just goes full throttle... hits a few, stops and then turns then again full throttle hits a few more, the only reason i think he stops his because by this point his car is on top of some poor folk.

Horrific scenes in Liverpool, know a few people a travelled up. Hope everyone is safe.

Bad as each other to be fair... Ruud tbf picked up more wins in his defence Russell prem Wins: 1 out of 17 Ruud Prem Wins: 4 out of 25

I still believe Enzo stayed Leicester stay up, he would have found a way. I wasn't his biggest fan, but I do think his tactics would have better with Leicester this season. As we see with better players at Chelsea, he's really managed to build a decent side.

Premier League 2025/26 Thread
Leicesterpool replied to OntarioFox's topic in General Football and Sport
Same bottom three will probably go back down I'm afraid. -
Difference between appointing Enzo and Martin... Enzo joined the foxes after being part of the Pep's coaching team that won the league 3 times in a row.... Martin joined the foxes being part of Southampton team that sat rock bottom of the premier league. Very inspiring stuff from Top and Rudkin. Also not forgetting his Southampton team last season we're 2-0 up against us and ended up losing 2-3! the most we scored away all season

Just watched a movie called 'Not Without My Daughter' from 1991 starring Sally Field... who you may remember from Mrs Doubfire. But this never heard of it... just seen a few clips on youtube looked quite interesting thought I'd give it a watch. It's a true story about a woman who gets tricked by her Iranian husband to go to Iran with their daughter for what she is thinking is just a short holiday only to then realise in fact he's took the decision to move the family to Iran. Very quickly she finds herself trapped and forced to live the Iranian lifestyle whilst being treating terribly by her now abusive husband whose holding her and there daughter against their will. Very intense story and very underrated performance by Sally Field. Interesting critics panned this on release and bombed at the box office, shame as this is a good movie. 9/10! honestly I was pleasantly surprised.

The top six next season I reckon. 1) Sheffield United 2) Ipswich Town ------------------------------ 3) Birmingham City 4) Middlesbrough 5) Southampton 6) Coventry City ------------------------------ I just don't see us getting top six next season, unless we get that next management appointment right.

Not saying I want him, but I'm surprised we haven't been linked more Gerrard. From the press point of view they would love it having Lampard at bitter rivals Cov and Gerrard at Leicester. Just hope we don't get that stupid head down that route.

League One & Two - 2024/25 season
Leicesterpool replied to moore_94's topic in General Football and Sport
All the play off final finals so far have been pretty poor, all the games have really lacked quality. All the teams involved just looked tired, makes you think is the EFL playing too many games. 46 games, the cup games EFL Cup, Fa Cup and EFL Trophy and then if you make the play offs its a further three games. Is it time to rethink the play offs instead of two legged semi finals, just cut to one game. The EFL Trophy is annoying cup to many and think most probably happily withdraw from it, only seems like Peterborough United want to win it. -
Well similar to when we beat them 9-0! one of the defenders on the pitch that day was donkey Vestergaard for Southampton, come the summer we sign him Sick of signing Southampton rejects.
-
They were supposedly going to give him the job after Clement was sacked but then Ferguson got a decent result in Europe so they decided to stick with Ferguson till the end of the season. I think since then Rangers weighed up there options and realised theres better options than Martin. Like you say I dont think he's favourite for Gers job, i think his chance come and gone.
-
I've heard something that Russell Martin is currently stalling on a decision as he holding out for the Rangers job. If this is the case then don't go for Martin... we're not second fiddle.

What type of football do people want to watch?

All out attack! -
what chants was there?

Only Martin welcome here is... Martin O'Neill. Russ can keep away.
-
Rodgers is Tottenham bound i think
-
Crowds will drop below 25k if he is appointed.
-
Reception for Martin will be similar when Puel was named... where was his previous club? Another underwhelming appointment where the fans will turn on very quickly if it dont work out. I dont think he is any better than Ruud, which dont say much.

I think would be more of a two year affect for them. But they would need to be qualify the season next. Going into the europa league is safety net for them.
-
Problem is Europa conference league is so easy to win for English clubs, its not impossible Forest to go and win that. I mean if West Ham can win it despite finishing 15th...
-
Is Nunos job at risk at Forest? We all know how ruthless their owner is. See what happens in the next 24 hours.
-
Reflecting on it alot of clubs who started well seem to really phase out towards the end. Prime example being Forest, Arsenal, Bournemouth and even Liverpool. Liverpool were so far in front up to end of January yet only got 84 points. Newcastle Utd to their credit have there greatest season in the Premier league era, secured a champions league spot and won a cup. We may mock Forest but to go from 17th to 7th and qualify for europe is still an achievement. We would love for even that at the moment. Of course though considering they have been in the top four for most of the season, probably should secured top four weeks ago. I so wanna mock Tottenham for finishing 17th.. but annoyingly as they won the europa league its difficult.
