  1. I’ve had the week off work and so I’ve had some time to reflect. I also watched the brilliant Vardy doc on Netflix the other day and of course, social media content has been awash with 10-years since we won the PL and 5-years since we lifted the FA Cup. It all got me thinking….where would we be had we not won the FA Cup? What if that Chilwell goal had stood and we had gone on to lose? Do we think BR would have galvanised the squad to go and beat a complacent Chelsea side in the league on the Tuesday? And by doing so, handing us CL football. Of course, there was still one more game but Chelsea lost that one so beating them in the game after the cup final would have been enough. Do we think the CL money would have saved us from relegation the first time? And would anyone swap the FA Cup to finish 5th in 2021 knowing that no CL money may effectively have led to our relegation in 2023 followed by the two in 2025 and 2026?
  2. Huth was on TS daily with Geoff Peters doing essentially the same talk. He refused to bad mouth Rudkin or Top but didn’t hold back on the players. I’m not sure I can be bothered to listen to another podcast where ex players skate around the biggest issues at the club through fear of upsetting their friends.
  3. Can’t actually believe this got read out. It’s ****ing embarrassing. Just don’t bother announcing it if you don’t know the actual attendance cause it was clearly a lot lot less.
  4. Everyone keeps talking about selling Seagrave or at least leasing it whilst we’re in L1. I get it. It’s an obvious revenue stream but there are two key factors that people are overlooking. One - Seagrave counts as club infrastructure. The £15m per annum to run it is within the allowance of PSR as it’s an investment into the club. In real terms, the cost of running it will outweigh the tv revenue for a L1 club. That’s how clubs go bust. I don’t know the way around that other than to say that surely the King Power group just need to stump up the £15m per year until they get us out of this mess. If they can’t do that then they need to sell to someone who can. They wanted this training ground. They funded it. They should have planned for a potential future outside of the top flight. We’re Leicester City. We’re not exactly strangers to relegation. Two - Belvoir Drive is sitting there as an asset that could and should be sold. It’s now exclusively honing the women’s team. That to me is a total waste of a sellable asset. The women don’t need their own training ground. Seagrave has over 20 pitches. It’s absolutely huge. I would be more in favour of us selling the land at Belvoir Drive and moving the women across to Seagrave. That would then also add to positive PSR as you’re then running one training ground between the men’s, women’s and youth teams. Only (and it is major) issue with my second point is the land value of Belvoir Drive will be pretty low. No one is going to buy an old run down training ground in its current state. A business may buy it for land but land isn’t overly valuable as an asset. Furthermore, it’s probably not big enough for a lot of potential proprietors. King Power got us into this mess. They built a state of the art training ground which as a top 6 club (at the time), was a good idea. But with just one year of parachute payments left and I fail to see how the club can afford it. Therefore KP has to just fund it directly.
  5. It should read “Leicester City have experienced their worst championship/division 2 season ever and yet they still managed to do the double over Derby”. Simmer down sheep shaggers. We could go into exile for a few years and still win a title sooner than your lot.
  6. His press conferences have been so telling. If you actually listen to what he says, he’s literally telling us this squad is broken and is the problem. When he first joined, he started off by saying that the squad give everything in training but let themselves down in both boxes. TRUE. He’s now began calling players out for a lack of effort and a lack of running. He pretty well stated tonight that Divine Mukasa at 18 was trying to do everything because no one else was trying. That’s telling. But it’s telling us something we already knew.
  7. Steve, to quote a great man - “**** off and die”
  8. I felt apathy over the last few weeks. At FT on Saturday, it wasn’t even apathy. I didn’t actually care. But at FT today I actually cried. I don’t know why. The players don’t give a shit so why should I?! But it’s our club and they just don’t get it. They decided to try for 20 minutes and it got my heart rate going. It made me feel passion again. It made me think for some crazy reason that we could win tonight, beat Milwall and then somehow beat Blackburn on the last day. That’s what putting in that little bit of effort does. Had they fought like that 10 games ago, we’d be fine now and the ground would be ****ing rocking. I’m rambling I know but I just need to vent.
  9. How many thousands over the actual attendance will be announced as the capacity tonight? 😂
  10. Random but I wonder if Spurs would take that little gob shite, Winks on loan next season when they’re relegated…?
  11. As far as I can tell, if you go to this game, you’re a part of the problem. Boycott. Show a properly empty stadium. We aren’t going to win 3 from 3 and Blackburn are not going to lose 3 from 3 so we are down. We’ve nothing to fight for. The players don’t care anyway. If you go and sit there with your stupid little clap banner, you’re adding to the huge problem that is our club.
  12. I’m hoping I can get to the point where I don’t know when we’re playing, I don’t know who we’re playing and I don’t really care what the result is if I even find it out. I’m going to try and start that this Tuesday night by making my brain forget we have a game. Wish me luck 👍
  13. That’s a stonewall pen. We’re not getting any luck.
  14. Seagrave won’t get sold. By many accounts, we pay £15m per season in upkeep for Seagrave. Payments for stadium and training facilities are outside of the restrictions on PSR. The issue will be, the fact that our revenue won’t allow for a £15m payment per annum on a training ground. Well KP wanted Seagrave so KP will have to stump up the funds. What needs to happen and what should have already happened is the women’s team need to come across to Seagrave and the old training ground needs to be sold. Why we think as little old Leicester, our £100m training complex with its 15-20 pitches isn’t big enough for both the men’s and women’s team as well as our youth academy, I do not know. We’re not in the position of giving the women’s team their own training ground. They don’t generate anywhere near enough money to justify it. Only issue I can foresee is that the players (men’s team) are already shit enough as it is. Imagine how distracted they’re going to be when Alisha Lehman’s legs and arse turn up several times a week 😳
  15. I was on the fence about Saturday but now I’m certain I won’t be going 😂
  16. I have genuinely hatred for 90% of this squad. Get them all gone. Promote all of the talented kids into the first team and sign the best players in L1 and some experience heads from Champ clubs to get us back up. Having said that, I have zero faith that we will get promoted back up within 3 years.
  17. This resonates with me big time. Dad brought us up as Leicester fans in SE London. It was always pretty tough as kids but not so bad the past 10 years or so. But at this time, I feel totally embarrassed to support this club of ours. Top, Rudkin and the board have killed our club. They need to go. They won’t. We all know they won’t. But whilst they’re here, I don’t really see any way back.
  18. I don’t think it makes any difference. The squad is rotten. The club is even worse. No manager would have turned this around.
  19. Sometimes I actually think a relegation can be really good for a club. Unfortunately I think for us it could spell the end. The finances are out of control. But yes these players throughly deserve back-to-back relegations.
  20. Pathetic comment. They’re people just like us and they are entitled to a weekend off like anyone else. We’re in this mess because of the board. Not Rowett.
  21. Mavididi has been the best player on the pitch so that would be odd
  22. Yes but the positive is this….did they ever look like scoring? No not really. We have to take the positives. The confidence is on the floor and that takes time to be rebuilt.
  23. I really do genuinely believe that if we win tonight (especially if we keep a clean sheet), we will go on a run. The next 3-5 games are all very winnable.
  24. Today was the first time I’ve been to a home game in a few years. I follow this club passionately from afar and I have to say, I was absolutely stunned at how placid our fans have become. I say become. It’s probably always been that way but there hasn’t been much to moan about in the past. I regularly see the posts on here about the “happy clappers” but I didn’t realise just how unwilling to speak out people actually are. The atmosphere in SK1 for the opening 10/15 mins today was excellent. But as soon as we started playing shit and Norwich got totally on top of us, the entire kop went silent (except the singing section. Fair play). I couldn’t believe how unwilling people are to pass any comment. Why aren’t fans angry?! I’m ****ing fuming. They should be beside themselves with anger. But instead, people just sit. Politely clap when anything remotely good happens and then quietly head home at full time. Top will never sell whilst 90% of whoever is in the ground is so silent.
