Good God that side stinks

Just shows you us how crap we are when Fatawu has an off game. He’s entitled to an off game, don’t get me wrong. But we’re such a one man team. That second half was horrific. The first half was ok and we could have been two up. Had we played the second half as we did the first, we’d have probably been fine. Why do these morons think the game is won at 1-0?!?

My point is, the manager isn’t getting out of the squad what he should. I can’t see any world in which this squad isn’t better than 4 draws in a row. That’s my point.

We hammered this Coventry side and couldn’t score. But we kept them out comfortably. Yet they’re hammering everyone. What does that tell you?! we’re clearly a better all round side. We just can’t break teams down who sit team and defend for 90 minutes which is 95% of the league.

I’m sick and tired of people on here saying this is a mid-table squad. It isn’t. This squad is comfortably top 6. If we don’t go up it’ll be down to Marti. He needs to turn this around NOW. Or the board will have to move him on. Someone will come in and get this squad firing.

Vardy didn’t create chances. If we were creating lots and not scoring I’d agree with your point. But the fact is we’ve created two shots on target in two games. That is never going to get us promoted.

I like him. I really do but I think he’s got one more game and one more chance and then I’m fully done. As bad as some of the players are, I still maintain that this squad has to be going up. If he can’t get it promoted then he isn’t good enough. He isn’t getting it promoted with draws.

I’ve not liked a manager as much as Marti since Craig Shakespeare. I think I’m allowing that to take over a bit too much. Fact is, we haven’t played well for more than 45 minutes in a single game yet. The biggest positive I can draw so far is that we’re not losing games regularly. That will get us mid-table. But surely we want and should expect at least 6th. We all criticise this squad but when you analyse it against the other 23 sides, it’s in the top 6 comfortably. I like you Marti. But you need to start winning games now…

I didn’t see any players who didn’t care today. You can’t just throw this comment in every time we don’t win.

The Pompey fans absolutely adore him. That tells you everything you need to know. Yes he’s the wrong side of 30 and we have several attacking players who are but his numbers in a bottom half team last season were very good. For the right fee id be ok with this.

We utterly dominated that… ok not really. But defensively that was a great performance and every player worked for eachother, for us and for the club. We haven’t seen that for a while so thank you and well done to Marti. He’s created that. It does worry me that a promoted side just dominated the game so much though. We do need to get a grip in midfield. Ironically, I thought both Skipp and Soumare were great tonight. But I don’t see them being a partnership that will control games. I think winks has to play - although he’s a *****. Did anyone else notice all the subs come on post game? Begovic, S. Thomas and Ben Nelson. I even saw Decordova-Reid. But I tell you who we didn’t see….Harry Winks. He clearly wants out.
