1. It won’t happen. 2. If it did it’s not as big an achievement as when we won it. They’ve spent hundreds of millions and are into their third straight PL season. 3. IF it did happen I’d just be annoyed that it gives people the chance to compare. I’ll still be sure in my own mind that we achieved bigger things.

I don’t really want Top to sell the club. I feel emotionally connected to him and his family because of what they gave us and for the feelings I experienced when Vichai died. But that’s me thinking with my heart. When I plug my brain in and look at the situation we’re in logically, it’s a total mess. If Top can’t see just how poorly run the club has become I worry. My hope is that he trusted Rudkin etc to run the club over the past 4 years or so and he’s starting to realise they can’t be trusted. My hope is he has a total boardroom clear out and we build again (no doubt from the championship). But I’m not holding my breath on any of it. God it’s genuinely all so depressing.

Hadn’t given it much thought until tonight but 5 of Forests front 6 all came from other PL sides. 7 of their 11 came from other PL sides. We rarely sign players from the PL. I understand why. But it does show you the benefit of buying players who are already at the level.

Delap was a class signing. Szmodics a sensible one. Then they’ve just got tons of pace and willing runners. Not exactly rocket science. Is their squad technically better than ours? Probably not. Does it have more PL experience? Definitely not. But it’s got a real balance with a manager who has a set way of playing and both compliment eachother. Ipswich also just look like they want to stay up. You’d be proud watching this. I’m not proud watching us.

Tilemans, Maddison and Barnes all got moaned about on here. Sometimes almost weekly. I’d sell my own mother to have even one of those back now. Christ how we’ve fallen.

This is the lowest I’ve ever felt watching this club. There is absolutely nothing to be positive about. The whole club from top to bottom is rotten. I have a bit of sympathy with Ruud. I don’t think he’s good enough. Not even close. But this squad is pathetic. I’m not sure anyone would keep us up. We had a better squad last year in the championship. Make sense of that. The only chance we have is if our January signings are off the charts but you just know it isn’t going happen.

We’re definitely improving but we are desperate for some January signings. It’s so clear that the squad lacks quality.

Ward is getting all the stick tonight. Don’t get me wrong, he’s shit. He’s not a premier league standard goalie and he has definitely cost us goals/points in the last two games. But what the **** is up with our defence? For the first goal, Vestergaard and Coady who are supposedly experienced internationals let the ball bounce not once but twice inside our box. I’ve never kicked a ball at a good level but I know rule no.1 of defending is not to let the ball bounce inside your own box, Don’t even get me started on that JJ mistake. His confidence looks shot to bits. I’m not sure how he comes back from this. Pre-ACL he was probably the 3rd best full back in the league. Now look at him. Unreal drop off. The injury to Mads has highlighted just how good he is. Just how poor Ward is and above all else, how we’ve gotten away with shocking defending all season. Not convinced Ruud is the man to get the team defending properly either. I’m struggling for positives tonight I won’t lie.

Could we sack two managers in one season? And if so, how many games does he get?

It’s not often I say this but I am utterly embarrassed of this team. I watch Ipswich and they get battered 4-0 but you can see what they’re doing. They’re well drilled but lack quality. I watch Southampton and they’re utter tripe at times but they play some really nice stuff. What are we?! What are we seriously? Are we a nice footballing side? No. Do we knock it about nicely? No. Do we defend well and counter clinically? **** no. What are we?! I’m really done with this season.

All Danny Ward does is show how good Hermansen is. We’ve faced so many shots all season. It must be the most in the league. I’m fairly sure. Hermansen should be back soon but whether he’s back or not, the fact is, we’re ****ing shit defensively. We’re an absolute disgrace defensively. I’m embarrassed if I'm honest. Ward needs to go. Bin him off. Cut his contract in January. Yes fine. But before he goes or doesn’t go, we need to learn how to defend because Mads will be gone in the summer whether we stay up or not.
