  1. He is an "insider". How could he not be? No one calls themselves that otherwise.
  2. Fed up of Potter. The dude has delusions of grandeur ever since he got the Chelsea job. No big club is going to touch him. I think he would struggle going back into a relegation battle anyway. Moyes for me (yawn)
  3. My thinking too, but I strongly suspect it will be Moyes. I do think he will keep us up, but it likely won't be pretty.
  4. Mourinho. Fed up with Turkish league already. Said recently his next job will be a lower team in Premier League. Nailed on...
  5. New owners at Everton are rumoured to want Moyes to go back there. Maybe, that is why Top has moved faster than we expected with this sacking. Either that, or Potter has finally agreed to join us, after being concerned about point deductions in the Summer. Can't see it being anyone else. Moyes or Potter.
  6. I hope this is sarcasm
  7. I think the club actually gave Cooper the perfect amount of games to show us whether he can do the job for us. (He can't) Anywhere between 10-15 games is adequate to make this assessment in my view. Those calling for him to be sacked after only a handful of games may feel justified, but many of those were also asking for Enzo to be sacked too. I am surprised the club have got this sacking right, as I expected them to hold off for a while longer. I suspect this has also been triggered because they have someone lined up and ready to go. Potter or Moyes I suspect. I have got no issue with Cooper, other than he was just not very good for us. Hope he gets back to work soon, most likely with a mid-table Championship club.
  8. I strongly suspect either Moyes or Potter have already agreed to join. Club probably felt they had to act now and get ahead of the upcoming sackings at other clubs. Would be surprised if it was RVN at this point. My bet is Moyes, and club going with the experienced/survival specialist route. Hope it pays off I am sure our fans will give whoever it is a fair go...
  9. If this was Saturday night, then I think it is likely they were aware something was happening. Even if they didn't know and thought Cooper was still Manager, it is just as bad IMO. Just hope the new Manager gives them a kick up the arses, as they have been poor too and lucky they can't be so easily sacked.
  10. They have either sounded out Potter or Moyes in my opinion. It feels like someone has been lined up and will happen quickly. I suspect Potter is now more keen with how we have started + no point deductions. It doesn't look as doomed as when he was considering us in the Summer. Either that, or the club want Moyes in as a survival specialist type guy, and had to move for him now before other clubs go in for him. I'd be OK with either.
  11. Not a fan of this behaviour to be honest. Although, not surprised by it either. A little bit more respect for someone who has just been sacked. If only we could sack players so easily for their poor performances.
  12. Jumped ahead of other clubs, which could be vital in this current Manager market Suspect we will again be pushing for Potter, and may have even sounded him out, hence this quicker decision. If not, I suspect we will see Moyes here fairly quickly. Either way, I think we have someone lined up.
  13. David Moyes I don't like it for the long-term, but he gives us a better shot at staying up right now.
  14. Not winning a game yet might have something to do with it.
  15. I think Arsenal will steamroll us today. I am usually an optimist too.
  16. That's the first I've heard of it.
  17. I get the feeling that Cooper is a bog standard coach, and not a Manager or leader. He doesn't seem capable of setting up a team or making decisions in games. The rumours were that he was asking players for how they want to play and this surprised them. I don't think he has much belief in his ability and this is why he sets up so cautiously and takes so long to make changes. I actually don't mind him as a person, but he just doesn't seem like a Manager with any confidence or a plan. There would have to be a huge switch in momentum for him to do well here, and I just can't see it happening. I still believe that Top will act sooner than many are predicting, as he was certainly not the first choice and so there were already doubts about him.
  18. That was a huge win tonight. Cooper got everything right. I would like to see Ward start against Arsenal. ...I'd take Moyes right now.
  19. We will end up with Moyes, unless he goes somewhere else sooner.
  20. What?! Right lads, let's dig deep and get Potter in.
  21. He will likely get 15 league games. I am leaning towards 10, as too many red flags at this stage. The only reason I think Top may act sooner, is because Cooper was clearly not their first or even second choice. I think they will try for Potter once again, but most likely we will end up with Moyes.
  22. If Cooper goes soon. It will be Moyes. Not who I want, but club will want survival over style for now.
  23. Context rarely matters these days, especially within our fanbase. When we were finishing 5th, it wasn't good enough. When we were top of the Championship under Enzo, for many, it wasn't good enough. I say this as someone who will likely only give Cooper 4-5 more games too, as I am not impressed so far. However, we cannot sack Managers after 5 games OR 1-2 has some called for. He must be given 10-15 games, (10 now for me) before we can seriously expect him to be sacked. This squad is capable of finishing 15th-17th, and anyone who suggests higher, is likely wearing a strong blue tint in their glasses.
