  1. How good does he think he is?
  2. Actually a very likeable player, but just missing that extra gear needed for the Premier League IMO. I would have liked to have seen more of him this season, but he suffered from Enzo’s lack of rotation and late use of subs.
  3. if China are involved, then all our shirts will have listening devices
  4. Lift the spirits! Every time I come on Foxestalk these days, I want to go back to bed!
  5. I have watched some Leeds fan stuff over the last week, and I can guarantee this is not how they are taking finishing 3rd! Talk of relegation to League 1 next season is more their thinking Come on Norwich or WBA in the Play-offs!
  6. Hence my EDIT shortly after, as I thought I could well have misinterpreted your post. Although, you posted in other topics as well, which led me to think you were talking about King Power. My mistake. I agree that the spine of the team has all but gone, with only Vardy likely remaining and I know you don't mean in terms of what they do on the pitch, but also how they have taken the club and fans to heart. I'd add KDH, Hamza and McAteer to your list though, as they seem to genuinely love playing here. I do believe that KDH may have rejected a move to Brighton because of that (still just a rumour though). We were absolutely blessed with the characters we bought in over the years, and have struggled to replicate that in our recruitment ever since. However, part of the reason these players formed such a bond with the club and fans, is that they were successful, ridiculously so. You can't underestimate how much of a bond is formed when players share success with the club and fans. Although winning the Championship this season, is somewhat brushed aside by some, we will likely still benefit from that success in terms of players bonding with the club and fans. Fatuwa is a great example of that. He has been a joy to celebrate each success with and I think he will be skipping into the meeting to sign for us this summer. Personally, I am not buying into the doom and gloom we have seen on here the last week or so. I absolutely miss the squad from 2015/16 and all those characters that maximised their ability and then some! But, I am also not willing to write this club off either and think that we can't find new characters that we all bond with. As you say, Harry Winks for example - I have loved hearing him say that this is the best time in his career and gush about our club. There are a handful more too. We just need to recruit more of them. As you said, we built a culture under O'Neil, we built another one under Pearson, which coupled with success, helped solidify that bond with fans. In between those eras, there was absolute dross. Far worse than what we have experienced lately. There is absolutely no reason why we can't build that type of culture again in the future.
  7. He will be snapped up by another Championship club. Hull may regret that decision next season.
  8. I think it is going to be 6 points when all is said and done. Just get on with it.
  9. Depends on what our point deduction will be, and also what we can or are allowed to spend. I suspect that behind closed doors, it will absolutely be about survival next season and then build from there season after and try to break the top 8 again. Lots of work to do in the transfer market just to be competitive next season.
  10. '...He also won't want to make some of the mistakes Vincent Kompany made at Burnley, believing most of his promoted squad could keep them up. Changes to Leicester's squad are required.' Yes yes yes! That is exactly what I want to hear. Enzo needs to be brutal over the Summer and actually drop players like Faes and Veste. Will be the only way we stay up!
  11. Feels like his biggest strength going into next season, is his relationship with the players. Whereas, many fans have struggled to appreciate his style of management, a lot of the players wax lyrical about him and the way he wants us to play. On body language alone, you can see how well he has bonded with the squad, and I think that can't be underestimated going into next season. He needs an almost perfect Summer of recruitment though and a win early on, or I can see him being hounded brutally early into the season.
  12. They've also had Wolverine, Antman and Star-lord rock up too, and got the power of Disney behind them. That helps with global exposure a wee bit. Certainly more than some random Thai influencers in a bus anyway
  13. The biggest thing in our favour, is that they are changing the rules. Rather than sticking to their new strict enforcement policy, they are trying to get out of it as quickly as possible and brush it under the carpet, due to how unpopular it has been, and also wanting to protect their big 6 from point deductions. If we kick up enough fuss, which I am sure we will, then I think the Premier League will back down and look for a quick and quiet way out. I think it will be 4-6 points, which you'd hope we could cancel out pretty early on depending on the fixture list. I just wish they would get on with it!
  14. Yup, I expect up to 5-6 clubs in the lower half the Prem will be considering him if they get off to bad starts, us included! There will be the usual grumbles about the style of play, but that won't put owners off who want to try avoid relegation.
  15. Now that Forest are pretty much safe, I want them to succeed in their FFP appeal. Could help us and our case if so. Anything higher than minus 4-6 points starting next season, I think that could be too much for us to overcome.
  16. We have no idea what wage Vardy wants or will accept. I suspect he will stay and accept a reduction on the 140k. Anything sub 100k would be OK with me. The club will want as low as possible without insulting him and his achievements, and Vardy will want as high as possible, without talking himself out of a deal altogether. Balancing act for both him and the club now, and both are in good positions really, that is why I expect they will eventually meet in the middle. Some fans will still think that is too high, whilst others will see the bigger picture and what he brings to the club as a whole.
  17. Money shot!
  18. The less we know now, the more optimistic I feel! At least until the first game when we ultimately just line up with Faes and Vesty!
  19. Should be the first bit of business we do. 1 year contract under 100k (He's on 140k now I think?) I know financially it should be 70k but can you imagine the dressing room buzzkill if Vardy is not there. Albrighton said it best, Vardy represents everything Leicester is about. He is worth more to us than just what he can do on the pitch. I think he could get 10-15 goals next season if he starts as sharp as he finished this season. My only concern is, I really don't want his final days with us to be part of a relegation again, so if we look like we are going down.. sell him in Jan!
  20. Ricardo... New CB... New CB.... New LB
  21. I think it is pretty obvious where you are going with this, and I've got no issue with that. Everyone should say what they feel. I would just add, try not to forget that the 'something special' you describe, actually came about because of King Power - The Premier League miracle win, Champions League, the FA Cup win, the 2 Championship promotions, Seagrave and a number of fantastic players joining over those years - All done under King Power and their financial backing. You only have to look at so many other clubs, the vast majority actually, to see how fortunate we have been with KP. Yes, they have made mistakes along the way and last season being the most costly by far, but we bounced straight back where many others have failed. I am probably going to agree with you on some things, and do want Top to get rid of Rudkin and bring in someone to not only take over his role, but also be competent enough that Top himself can take a slight step back too, and allow the club to have a reset in the way it is run. So yes, have and enjoy your upcoming rant at King Power, but please do so with recognition that they have also greatly contributed to our greatest ever achievements. The parade and celebration stuff in general has been a bit of a shambles, but lets not get too carried away and announce the death of the club over it. EDIT: You may not even be heading that way, so this post might not even be for you. I just think there is a mood in here tonight that is a bit OTT and it feels so strange that after everything we have achieved, there is so much negativity towards the club. They get things wrong, but the things they have gotten right have given me days and moments I never ever thought I would have being a Leicester fan.
  22. can't tell if this is being sarcastic? They have been out the Premier League for 22 years...
  23. Ignorance was bliss before social media. Nowadays we pretty much know what everyone is thinking! Quick look and I see Ian Marshall is a Katie Hopkins lover. Gutted! Hope Vardy gives us 1 more year and then goes off to America for his final days and leaves us with just positive memories! I always thought Vardy was a player that only his own club could adore, but weirdly, his shithousery has become much appreciated by many other fans too! I am going to miss him and him leaving will be well and truly closing the book on this incredible period in our history. On the flipside, I am also excited to have a clean slate and start to build something special again and hopefully have new rising stars to focus on. Just get your 200 goals Vardy and help keep us up next season, and then sail off into the sunset on a redbull sponsored sail boat.
  24. I'd love to see Winks boss it in the Premier League. With less games and more quality around him, he could go up a level from what we saw this season. I suspect the rare occasions where he struggled this season, was more down to fatigue and not having more high calibre players around him. As good as KDH has been, you'd have to say Winks will also be just as vital to how we do next season. I just wish he had more goals in him.
