I find it difficult to accept that Winks is deemed to be OK for the bench, but not to start. Is his sulk only compatible with appearances from the bench? Seems a bit dumb from the Manager to persist with this. Start him and try to win games. If he gets a move away, then fair enough. But if he is on the bench, then START HIM!

Needed 5-6 players for a promotion push. at this point… would be a shock if we even get 1-2 in. A striker and CM are essential and bare minimum to make us at least function this season.

He will be back up to Ricardo at RB, as well as being able to fill in at CM as well. He is another one like Thomas and others, who aren't good enough for a promotion push, but we aren't signing anyone, so it is what it is.

Is he a top player yet? I haven't seen enough of him to make that judgement. He was OK in the Premier League but nothing more. Shows signs of something, but still seems raw and too early to tell. Anything just over £30million would be good business. £40+ million won't happen.

I think £10million is about right. He is 27 and got Premier League experience and maybe a change of scenery will do him good. Top professional, and always seemed a top guy too. I will remember him for setting up Vardy's 200th goal Can we please start signing some players now!

I still think he is our best defender at the club (not exactly a compliment) However, he certainly has some weaknesses and is not good enough in the Premier League. He undoubtedly does have some attitude problems, as I don't ever recall a player being so over the top at blaming others when conceding goals. Despite all this, I would still have him starting games for us IF he was happy to stay and fight for the club - I just don't think he is though. Therefore, I would sell him if someone comes in and we can clear his wages from the books.

No we don't and doesn't sound like Marti does either, as he said Fatawu is one the players we want to keep. I suspect he wouldn't be saying that about Faes, Winks and some others. I think unless we get a silly bid of £40+ million, then he will be staying

I fear reality will kick us hard in this one. Unless something changes this week, can't see us winning this.

£40 million would be laughable. He has shown some signs of being a top player but could easily become just an average one too. Let’s hope Palace are that desperate to sign him

He can’t really be judged yet. I want to see what he does when the window is shut and he knows what he has to work with. I think today he was very fortunate to get a win, but he is also has a lot of issues to deal with on and off the field. It could easily go either way with him, but to give him a fair chance, we must bring in a handful of players for him to work with.

We have had the easiest games though

They would get walked through. Neither can do defensive duties

I am past being shocked or trying to figure out why he is so stinking bad. He just is. He needs to be moved out on loan, even if we are covering 50% of his wages. We could find a much better player at this level on a fraction of what we are paying him. It if far from ideal, but we cannot just stand still and not address this now.

If we could remove most his defensive duties, then he might be an acceptable player for us at this level. I just can't stand how he causally jogs back and then just stands in open space and doesn't have any clue about where the opposition is.

It was a very low bar set by our senior players today. They were OK. Not awful but none particularly shone either. Very tough game though, as the whole team were so poor today.

It will be interesting to see how he behaves if he is still here once the window closes. He is our best midfielder, and I would expect Marti to start him most games once his future is decided. Not sure why he is still sulking, but get over it will you. He could get himself a good move if he plays well until January.

Far superior to Mags at claiming the ball in the air. Was worried after the last game, but he will be an asset this season judging by today.
