The more I read and see on TV news about this, the more I feel there has been a miscarriage of justice and that some senior medical professionals and senior managers have circled their wagons in order to protect themselves from some sort of negligence/misconduct charge and Ms Letby has been scapegoated. Sadly for her, the case of the Grantham nurse still lives in the memory.

Y'see, in @David Hankey world, every street in every council/housing association area or any area that isn't privately owned is full of scurrilous rascals, scoundrels, rogues, and robbers, as well as highwaymen, thugs, miscreants and ne're do-wells and "types", intent on causing mischief and devilment that will, at all costs, do harm to the local gentry and the well heeled, moneyed, law abiders that cannot countenance any misbehaviour by people of lower classes that have a need to have recourse to such crudeness as to harass those such as he, by behaving in a manner likely to cause discomfort and/or prevent him leaving his property for fear of being made a mockery. In Mr Hankey's world, these types should be put in stocks and have rotten tomatoes and various other soft vegetables thrown at them. Maybe excrement too, if they come from a really lower class of hooligan. Edit. This post is not intended in any way to make light of the tragedy in our town. More to make a point regarding previous posts that have been submitted by this individual. A point he will either ignore or not understand.

As expected. However a charge is not the same as a conviction. As I mentioned earlier, the police will always go to the CPS with the highest possible charge. What happens after that goes to court where the conviction may not be the same as the charge.

Police will always go to the CPS with the highest possible charge, in this case, murder, particularly if there's evidence that Mr Kholi was a victim on a previous occasion by the same individual(s), which might suggest premeditation. However: "Where an unlawful killing is done without an intention to kill or to cause grievous bodily harm, the suspect is to be charged with manslaughter not murder. Apart from the absence of the requisite intent, all other elements of the offence are the same as for murder". The "requisite intent" means the prosecution would need to prove intent to kill or to cause grievous bodily harm. Like all of us on here, I'm no expert but sadly, I think a a single punch or a push to the ground resulting in a head injury that caused death would be a manslaughter charge. There is a precedent: From the CPS website: Darren John Fell, 41, was convicted of manslaughter and was today sentenced to nine years in prison after striking Wayne Sheppard. Shortly before 10pm on 2 July 2022, Fell encountered Mr Sheppard, 44, outside flats on New Park Street, Devizes, and the two men exchanged a few words. Witnesses stated Mr Sheppard showed no aggression towards Fell before the defendant suddenly punched the victim to the jaw. As Mr Sheppard collapsed, he hit his head on the concrete floor and suffered a catastrophic brain injury.

Are you implying some here are attempting to defend them Or are you getting your stage ready for further narrow-minded posts?

Exactly what has been reported in today's national press, In July an incident was reported to police after Mr Kohli was allegedly verbally abused by a group of young people near his home, the Guardian reports.

FFS. Really? You really are a parody of a proper thinking human being.

That looks like a grinding stone. You're gonna tell me it is, aren't you?

Clearly driven by people on their driving test. Once that's been passed, they become obsolete.

It's becoming ridiculous. like the second coming of Christ. I have to question the real motivation behind this given they openly disliked each other when they were "Oasis". Neither of the Gallagher brothers have been doing much since the split (allegedly acrimonious). That said, Wonderwall was excellent, the rest? Meh. Only my opinion. Anyway, did the job get done?

Why? See my post above. The fresher it is in your mind the more effective some talking therapy will help. I know from my own experiences. As I said in my previous post, we had immediate debriefing/talking following traumatic and difficult incidents. It was undoubtedly helpful.

This sort of thing can be particularly difficult for those that witness/are first to arrive at such an overwhelming incident. It's unexpected and suddenly shocking and the brain takes several moments to assimilate and make sense of what you're seeing, then how to react and what to do, if anything. That's something I've often wondered about, how it affects people that witness such a thing. At least we were trained to deal with difficult incidents and also had time en-route to prepare, mentally and professionally for what we might be faced with For those without that, the trauma is deeper and can be re-run in the imagination and thought processes immediately, and for some after the event. Also we had debriefing time after attending something very traumatic, something which bystanders and witnesses don't get. I would imagine that you, as a Psych nurse would have access to some MH counselling and if so, don't prevaricate to see if thoughts and images of what you encountered go away. Talk it through with someone.

I've been going through your list and this album is a revelation. I always denied that I liked Cat Stevens as I thought he was a bit "hippy" but this album is a treat of musical genius.

You don't need to set up a screen, although that would be so impactful. You could just have a laptop with audio output and play the YouTube clip through the venue's speakers, albeit without the visuals. At my mum's funeral, we wanted "Supermarket Flowers" by Ed Sheeran. We couldn't find the track outside of Apple Music but found it played live on YouTube. Plugged in and played it. Not the best quality but reduced us to tears. Commiserations and I hope it goes well.
