  1. They're all over the city/county like a rash. Cabling for this ultra fast broadband is an absolute ball ache.
  2. Why?

  4. Only ever said by people in Kettering
  5. We went to the Woodman's Stroke in Rothley last Friday lunchtime. Lovely pub, lovely sunny garden and patio. Decent pint. Let down by a 45 minute wait for 1 sandwich. When it came, it was ordinary brown sliced bread and the beef, although tender, was one wafer thin slice. Set me back £8.25 for the sandwich alone. I could have bought a whole loaf and a small topside beef joint for that.

  9. Surely you'd be more chilled out?
  10. Not "they believe", more like, "he believes".
  11. I was behind a car a while back that had such a cloud of vape fumes coming from it, I could smell it in my car.

  18. I have nothing to add except that you are a decent person. Given all that you have gone through, I hope you get it sorted and all in your favour.
  19. I'm not sure merging onto motorways etc is a driving test requirement, but it should be. If you drive the opposite way on the A46 towards Syston, the slip road from Wanlip is incredibly short resulting in sudden, slow merging traffic, causing difficulties for faster moving traffic on the main carriageway where the lanes already start to merge over into the A46 N/Bound, and away for Syston/Thurmaston. That is a bad junction.
  20. Go on then. How huge? Bradgate park National Space Centre Richard III in the Cathedral Foxton Locks New Walk (minus the street drinkers) I think I've run out of reasons.
  21. Old ladies personal bits. Yes, I've been unfortunate enough in my career to have experienced this several times and it's really unpleasant. Grass smells nice. I'd eat grass rather than sushi.
  22. Lucy Letby case: What new questions surround nurse’s multiple murder convictions? | The Independent It's a lengthy piece but worth looking at, as it raises reasonable doubts about her involvement in those deaths. Some evidence regarding her shift pattern and the deaths is called into question. Also the Paediatrician who allegedly caught her "red-handed" said in court that no alarms that would indicate a deterioration in their (the babies) condition were sounding. She was standing by the beds of babies that were unwell. He did not say she was holding a syringe or any other means of administering air or insulin and AFAIK that wasn't mentioned by the prosecution nor the defence. It also says that injection of air into the stomach to cause an embolism (which she was found guilty of) via a nasogastric feeding tube would have taken several attempts and would not cause sudden and catastrophic collapse. There other anomalies that cause me to doubt the full verdict. Maybe the babies weren't "killed" but died as a result of other issues within the department that were then covered up? Staff shortages have already been highlighted. There is a C4 documentary coming soon which will apparently shed more light. Personally, I'm unsure. On face value, it seems obvious that Letby could have caused these deaths. However there is less compelling evidence when the case is scrutinised further.
