City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff
Parafox replied to davieG's topic in General Chat
There's some memories there. I was a regular at Baileys and saw most of those acts. It was a top cabaret venue and it seemed quite odd to me that such "stars" of that era could be attracted to perform in... Leicester. The first time I ever went there was on a Saturday for the 16 to 18 year old's disco. I have vivid memories of walking up all those stairs in my brand new flares and corduroy jacket bought from C&A just for that first visit and getting nearer and nearer to the the magic of being in a proper discotheque. I felt really grown up. Many years later I was a DJ at The George next door to Bailey's, but I always wanted to be the Bailey's DJ. It seemed so... showbiz. -

I think this has been a topic before on FT. I'm thinking of getting an Amazon Firestick. What I want to know is if I do something specific after it arrives, will I be able to watch anything I want, specifically our matches live, plus other channels like Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix etc without paying a subscription to each?

You could be me. Exactly the same tale to tell, almost word for word.

Done in an air fryer, 20 mins at 180 then 40 mins at 200. Even better.

I've been to a number of motorcycle v other type of vehicle over the years and I would say the incidents are probably 60-40 against the other vehicle types. Unfortunately, by a big majority, the bikers come off worst, for obvious reasons. My biggest gripe against bikers are those that ride big machines and wear just T shirts and jeans or even shorts. I've seen flesh removed down the bone and the bone itself ground down as a result of inadequate protection.

I know and I'm tempted but I feel his dogma and ignorance needs to be challenged.

This brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "my pagers just gone off".

I personally take pride in being professional in my driving. I drove HGV class 1 trucks on my days off from paramedicking and I saw shite drivers of other trucks. I was a novice really, but I found some more experienced drivers so complacent. It's a shame on the profession. Driving a class 1 truck isn't something to be taken lightly.

Check the number plates and you'll likely find they're from Poland, Estonia, Romania, Czech, Albania...

Did that help the situation?

I think the photos tell you all you need to know about the bride.

I think my comms device will be OK with MI6

If that goes ahead I can't seem them getting anywhere near the level of public support that they did in the last series of actions.

ALL pigeons should be blasted into oblivion. Fecking pests.

I'll try that, but I still have to access Virgin email, or so it seems, before I can transfer anything and ATPIT I can't get access.
-
I have that as well. I had to set one up as a recovery email after the last time VM email got infiltrated. I still can't recover Virgin email even via Gmail, as the recovery code I receive doesn't function, I assume because the "hacker" has something set up to block me from setting up new passwords. I'd love to know why the stuff I get via email is so important to them. It's mostly Amazon confirmations or junk emails after Mrs Para buys something online and unknowingly subscribes.

We bought a pitcher plant in the summer as we were plagued with flies in the conservatory. Not a single fly has been trapped in the thing. We've had to resort to feeding it the flies that died from the heat and came to rest on the floor and windowsills. Spider webs have had more success.

Just tried to open my Virgin Media email account and it's been hacked yet again, blocking me, demanding a password reset and then potentially stealing any new password I try to allocate. Twice in 6 months. VM customer assistance is a ****ing joke. Just bots. Round and round in circles trying to sort it out by following their online help is a waste of ****ing time. No-one to talk directly to. Hence why I'm still up at midnight responding to @Daggers as a distraction.

Particularly so if it was a pop-up book.

Because it's you, I'll reduce that to £2:50 And I'm still undercover BTW.
