City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff

What it was to be a youngster in less stressful times. -
He buys the frozen, ready baked microwavable ones from Asda. If they aren't quite the real deal, he tucks in anyway.

You like what you like. It's all subjective. If you like salt and vinegar crisps with custard on your tater, go for it.

City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff

When I was a kid I went back to stay with my beloved foster mum in the summer holidays. She lived in a village between Market Harborough and Corby. The buses in that area were green and formed a big part of my memory of going there. I loved being on them. When I returned home, the Leicester city buses were the old cream/brown livery and I always felt mildly disappointed. -
Either way, it gives me massive reflux. So I include a 3rd topping of Gaviscon.

Maybe there should be a separate topic for "Lies Told On My CV".

When you travel, leave passport in hotel or take with you?

What was in it, a packet of crisps? -
My mates and I used to use sticks as rifles until we got our own air rifles. Carnage followed. Also, the imaginary pistol was a fist with the forefinger and second finger sticking out and the "piung, piung" calls as we fired our weapons.

Sadly for us, Top and Levy have much in common as club owners. No clue about actual football and how it needs the fans . No understanding of the commitment supporters make week in and week out. No investment when it's so badly needed. If they went on The Apprentice with their business models, they'd be fired in round 1. They're not fit to run a football club because they have no understanding of the fundamentals. Yes, ultimately clubs are businesses which need to make money for investments but in so many cases investors and owners have to pump billions into them. I think so many clubs like ours have become vanity projects and the appeal for the owners/investors has started to wear very thin. They should do the right thing for their clubs and sell. But they won't because they want this "trinket" of owning an EFL club because it's some kind of status symbol. Just **** off and invest in F1 or something. Leave us alone and stop asset stripping our football leagues.

That gentle swish, swish and the thought of "how big is that ****ing dynamo"? I also wonder what the wing tip speed is.

Sounds like some kind of incontinence pants

Ange is now the dead man walking among football managers. His post match interview was quite difficult for him.

There was a definite "hierarchy" in terms of tea breaks between as you say, "staff" and "shop floor". Even lunch breaks were subject to a hierarchy when I first started work. I was an office trainee but still had superiority in that I could join the rest of the white collar staff and get to the canteen ahead of the general workers. The food on offer was the same, but "ours" was warmer than "theirs".

its time to sack van nistoroy at the end of this seaosn

My response to this, posted about 6 hours ago was "not just the curtains" and has since been removed. For the mod that removed it, both lines are quotes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I'd like to know why it was deemed un-postworthy but I doubt I'll ever know. -
9 minutes??

Oh Lord, no. She must have mistaken an interpretation of "football match" for "Babestation".

I hate Currys. A few yrs ago my PS4 succumbed to the yellow light of death so I contacted Curry's and they told me it wasn't fixable at home and would need to be sdone in store. So I duly took it to Fosse Park and handed it over to the operative. He told me it was something only an official Sony agent could deal with. I said I thought they were. No, apparently their an authorised PS outlet but not authorised to carry out repairs. Anyway, I was told they would send it off for assessment and gave me reference a number if I needed to contact them about it. It should take about 2 weeks, he said, and they would call me when it was ready. 2 weeks later nothing. I contacted them and was told it was still being "assessed" by the authorised person(?). 2 weeks later, still no call. I contacted them again, gave the reference number and was told there was no record of it being sent for repair. I explained I had taken it in and had this ref. number and there must be a record of this. Apparently nothing. I complained that it had been a month since and was told it would be chased up. "Give us a week and we'll get back to you". Nothing. So I went personally to the store and demanded either they get it fixed or they replace it. They said "give us a week...". In the end they said that the console had been "lost" and said they were very sorry but there was no trace of it being delivered to the "official" repairer. There was then quite a scene after they said I could have a reconditioned PS4 in it's place. I lost my shit. I got a new replacement. On another occasion, we bought a 52" LG OLED TV, an SLR digital camera and a DAB radio/docking station (after getting an inheritance). I cant remember the total price but it was around £3000. I asked if there was a deal to be done given what we were spending. I was told no cash discount but they'd throw in an HDMI cable and a scart lead! Naively, I accepted. I've never been back since.

No. It's because he's corrupt and is the pocket of the FA. Ya know, just like all the other officials who make mistakes give poor decisions against us. But never, NEVER do that against "the big 6". Oh God, no. They would never dare go against their FA master's instructions. Don't you realise that the FA, Sky, Match of The Day and TalkSport all want us to be down in league 1 just so we can be put our place, as they hate us since we won the title? It's common knowledge (on Foxestalk) that LCFC is being targeted by the entire PGMOL.

When we signed him I was excited as he seemed a good CM with vision and skill to be a distributor of the forward ball. Now, I don't know what has happened but he's pretty useless in much of what he does. Maybe he's confused as to what RvN wants him to do, CDM out of possession or just a standard CM. Either way he's a misfit.

I felt quite wet for a while. And I wondered how wetness would affect a solid object.
