  1. England's women make us proud. England's men make us frustrated.
  2. Kelly > James. It's clear even without the injury.
  3. She is now
  4. BBC comms have been poor all tournament. I never watch ITV sport normally.

    Dogs

We've recently acquired a cockerpoo puppy, now 14 weeks old and we've had him for 5 weeks. Having never had a puppy or any dog before we underestimated the time and effort required to teach and train one. He's delightful, attentive gentle and playful when he's not being manic and biting everything he can reach. We knew it would take time and we expect to be spending 90% of our time praising, rewarding, preventing, teaching, being his companions. I had hoped that by now he'd be toilet trained, and we're getting there, but still getting overnight poo and wee in the conservatory although he will go outside when we encourage him and he is voluntarily doing it outside as well so it feels like progress is being made although we can have the patio doors open all day at this time of year. We just don't know how to get him to "ask" to go out if the doors are shut. He just does it. Even though we are vigilant for the signs, it's done before we can get to him and put him outside. I main vocabulary at the moment is "NO!" "Good boy". "Toilet". In spite of the above, I have to say, he's fun and we're discovering his personality.
  6. Anyone know what type of spider this is? The photo was taken by my nephew.
  7. Quite big in the world wildlife foundation,
  8. Italy last night, for example.
  9. I enjoyed last nights game more than the ones before partly due to having a decent commentator. The commentator for the England/Sweden game was so dull and flat that I stopped watching.
  10. I'm no great watcher of women's football but that was exhilarating. I'm looking forward to the final. Italy were playing for getting free kicks and spoiling our play. **** em. Unpleasant way of playing. Justified loss for them.
  11. Why is Mead substituting you.
  12. Examples please as some on here don't have twitter/X
  13. People said it was fake. Nope.
  14. Bloke was real "bloke" despite his fame. He made poor choices with his rock and roll lifestyle but he was never unlikeable. Genuine Brummie and never seemed to move away from that. I enjoyed the fly on the wall documentary with him and Sharon at home. Genuinely honest and open. He was a unique character and, even though I was never really a Sabbath fan, Paranoid was exceptional. RIP.
  15. I have a question about stop/start systems. I have a (very dull) Peugeot 2008 with a stop start system. I was wondering why the engine restarts if I open a door or unclip a seatbelt.
  16. Mine has gone down too. By about £50 pa. I was all set to go through comparison sites after I was told products are cheaper for the first year when you accept insurance through them. They weren't so I stayed with my current company.
  17. Isn't Trump doing the same over there? There seems to be some striking parallels between the Republicans and Reform.
  18. Early BMW's were built without radios as standard. Newer models are built without indicators.
  19. Imagine a world without photoshop.
  20. Watching this just because it's football. The standard of the football is pretty low but the commentary is so dull and flat that it just doesn't inspire any excitement.
  21. What are the general views of the use of political party whips? It bothers me that MP's aren't always allowed to vote with their conscience or in support of their constituents, but they are "whipped" into line. How is it right? It feels like any opposing voices will be shut down. How is that democracy ?
  22. From Newsnight tonight, a new term for fools... Knobheadery. As in being guilty of knobheadery Let's take it up and use it
  23. Thanks Wymsey. She was discharged home under the care of a CPN and a SW and has been for a couple of months now. We were worried that the hostility and hatred towards us would carry on, and it did, but we were advised by the SW and the CPN to inform the police and log all the offensive messages and death threats we have been receiving so that, if anything bad should happen, there's a record on the police system that can be recalled if necessary. The SW told us to block her on our phones as they were now "looking after" her and we didn't need to be so involved. So we did and life for us has been less fraught since. Mrs Para did text her a few days ago to ask if she was OK and she got a short reply saying "no" as her meds hadn't been delivered which is something we would have had to resolve before. Then the line of communication was open and we got several unpleasant texts so she is blocked again. It's a sort of relief that we don't have as much involvement although it doesn't stop the concerns we have for her long term. As far as we know she is managing with the support she now has in place. The fact that it's taken almost 10 years to finally get something there to help and support her is a poor indictment on the MH services.
