It’s well known that the Brighton chairman etc basically choose how they want the team to play, then pick a manager who has that particular style. Can’t see the poisonous little **** going for that!!

He started against Palace last Tuesday. He played well, and they kept a clean sheet.

If he plays badly, yet puts effort in a player should never be booed. However if he plays badly because he’s not trying and no longer wants to be at the club, the fans have every right to get at him a bit. I’m not saying this is what has happened with Chilwell, as only he knows what he wants. If this is a confidence thing though we must get behind him as he will never get it back.

Why do we have to blame certain players every time a manager fails? It wasn’t just at Leicester that Puel wasn’t popular with the players, staff, press and a large section of fans. It was exactly the same at Southampton. He was just not good enough for the premier league or maybe English football all together.

Why have assist stats become so important? If you take on an entire team and square it for a striker who balloons it over the bar how are you less of a player than someone who taps a ball along the edge of the box for the striker to smack it top corner? Surely those stats are very deceiving!

Sky saying players are pissed off with him and feel let down. If true, think he will go today. If he does stay it could certainly get messy!
