Personally don't see Brighton as a lesser club. You've taken the Leicester model of a few years ago and continue to be successful with it - replacing star assets and having a fantastic scouting network. Unfortunately for us, LCFC seems very broken at present with little strategy, a recruitment and financial plan that seems very unclear, and seemingly little actual football knowledge at the top of the hierarchy. We could learn a lot from Brighton

Just don't get how a punishment can be decided and dished out based on something that might happen. How did they decide to put us under a transfer ban when selling players and manager comp meant no breach of rules.

I think the FFP rules will push us into using youth a lot more, with the idea of selling. This year has to have a balance through. Staying up is the priority, not player development.

How do you know? Over the last two summers our wage bill must have halved. We've had a lot of deadwood leave and money come in from transfers.

O'Riley feels like a KDH replacement. Soule feels like a gap we have in the squad for an number 10

I was surprised by him last season. I thought he really took his opportunities well. His injury knocked him back a bit. Not sure he's ever going to be quite PL standard, but he works hard, has a bit of talent and knows where the goal is. Potentially a squad player next season. But more likely a loan to a championship club.

We could afford it. It was FFP and the fact is was a stupid deal that stopped us.

Given he's not signed - should we jump to conclusions that he doesn't want to stay and move on? Do we really want someone that drags there feet so much?

Looking forward to seeing what he can do. However, I'm not convinced he's going to be a great signing. Hope I'm wrong.
