  1. Still not sure what Sam Curren adds to the side now. He was sussed out a while back.
  2. No idea if TV money is being arranged for this, but the losers get £20k from the FA alone......these cup runs are a God send for non-league clubs.
  3. There may be a couple of 'local' Harborians in the squad, I'm not sure to be honest. It's only very recently that Harborough have been debt free & started paying players, which in itself means the net is cast wider. I know they were ambitious & the then Chairman (he was involved at Bournemouth & still works for The FA, l believe) had a 'vision' of where he wanted the club to go. He would regularly say this at meetings. As I've said before it's a very well ran club, great facilities, function room, huge junior section etc. It's built up over time, carefully & with a lot of thought. Yes, it may all fall apart eventually, who knows, but the signs are good so far.
  4. Harborough Town have just signed Sandro......ex Spurs, West Brom, Brazilian International Sandro ! He retired last year, only 35. No idea how this has happened.
  5. They will have made about £80k + from the FA alone, even if they lose to Reading. I reckon they’ll be more than happy with that.
  6. I hope HT & Kettering aren't drawn together personally (save it for the final !). Be great to get Birmingham, Wigan, Bristol Rovers etc. Hopefully you get your trip to Exeter 🤞
  7. Definitely. Haven't looked forward to FA Cup draws so much for years, thanks to Harborough Town. Takes me back to my childhood, sat around a radio listening to the 'click clack' as the numbers were pulled out. Brilliant.
  8. 4-0 now. My lad is at the game. Tonbridge can't handle the height of Harborough's centre backs, or the centre forward's hold up play. Amazing scoreline considering they're unbeaten at home this season.
  9. Not if we lose 4-1 on Saturday he won't.
  10. Is this with a tour company, or have you sorted it yourself ?
  11. Not sure 3 spinners, alongside Root & Bethel are needed for a 3 Test series in NZ......unless the pitches have suddenly become dry & grassless ?
  12. You’ll have a great time. Been a couple of times for cricket. St Lawrence Gap is great in the evening, plenty of bars & eateries. Oistins fish fry is close by & worth a visit for some seafood. Try & get on an island tour too, only takes 4 or 5 hours. Have a fantastic trip.
  13. Most clubs think this, until Man City reach the final & take it seriously again....
  14. I think he’s still part of the commentary team going forward, just not involved as a regular BBC reporter/correspondent. That’s the way l understand it anyway.
  15. Grow up, he left us a decade ago.
  16. Pretty even so far. This is never going into day 5, maybe not even the 4th. I know home advantage is important, but to manufacture such conditions so completely, doesn't seem right to me.
  17. McCann is really talented, but he isn't very active. This will only be his 4th bout in 2 years. That probably won't mean much though if he fulfills his potential.
  18. He's purely being rested, not dropped for performances. England are very aware of workload & player recovery etc. Carse has put in a decent shift on this trip.
  19. Absolutely loads ! Prague, Budapest, Bruges, Ghent, Tallin, Pula (Croatia), Gdansk. You can basically stick a pin in a map & find somewhere decent. Not sure that Greece is a great winter destination, although aren't England playing in Athens in November ?
  20. It's funny, some moaning about Tuchel's appointment on the grounds of him being German, would probably have accepted Klopp or Pep. Bless the little Englanders.
  21. Tonbridge Don’t score many, or concede many, plenty of draws this season, but unbeaten at home. Great draw for your boys though, TV game possibly ?
  22. I wouldn't even trust Rudkin on the triangle !
  23. ......Blimey, l need a holiday. I read the headline as 'Players singing at half time'.
  24. No doubt Benn jnr & Eubank jnr have some talent, but they're both making a living off their father's achievements to a very large degree. I just think they both get too much media attention & air time based on their dad's achievements. Unfortunately this fight will probably go ahead & the paying public will line the pugilist's pockets. Some Promoters (probably most) really have no ethics, or moral fibre & just see these two as cash cows.
  25. Harborough Town beat Bury 1-0. Thoroughly deserved. FA Cup 1st round draw, BBC2 Monday evening. Incredible....
