Oh I completely agree, but with the lower standard I think it opens us up to a bigger pool of potential loan players. It's quite rare to find a prem ready loan signing from another prem club, and the sort of loan signings we would be going in for would be the likes of Mukasa/Richards rather than James/Ramsay. We would be going in for Braybrooke types which I think opens the door for us. Completely agree we need to find a manager with a vision etc, but overall if a club has to choose between us and another league 1 club, and they are happy with the direction of both, they likely choose us, which is the only silver lining and opportunity to potentially stop this rot.

I really don’t know about the finances, but purely from a club draw perspective if the finances mean we can somehow keep Seagrave open, you’d imagine we are going to be the absolute #1 destination that premier league clubs will want to send players on loan to, and any free transfers that have a choice between us or other clubs in league 1 will surely want to play for us. I have a gut feeling that we might be okay IF we are utterly ruthless in summer. We have quite a few players that are on relatively low wages that could do a decent job at that level, Evans, Page, Aluko, Nelson (probably will be sold but can’t see clubs clamouring to take him right now) Alves, Braybrooke, Silko, Maybe Golding and Marcal (1 year extension?) finally get a chance. We desperately need massive cut backs but we do have some young players that would do well at that level and have the scope to improve in future. Keeping Nelson would be really big if possible.

One silver lining is the cracking Football Manager save i'll get out of King Power being a bunch of incompetent idiots.

We are effectively down, and I couldn't give a shit. Part of me is so broken by this club i'm actually happy that relegation will cause massive negative PR for King Power, and will bring them a little bit of suffering, I didn't see the Pompy game, my friend just text me the results because I don't even care enough to check myself right now, I just laughed when he told me. **** the players apart from about 3 or 4, most of them can get to ****, **** the board, every single one of them, **** king power. The ONLY people I care about, are the poor sods who will now face redundancy, and the wider community businesses that may end up with much less match day trade. I've been through many lows watching this club, but this one is just a sucker punch, then spitting on our faces. They have mishandled this club for the best part of 6 years now, infact you could easily look at decisions before Rogers that were poor such as our complete negligence in the transfer market summer after winning the league when we abandoned a clear working blueprint. It's sad, maybe I'll care more in the summer, right now, I just don't give a toss about this club anymore, it doesn't represent Leicester City, this is a poisoned swamp football club. This is NOT Leicester City. King Power, you will always have credit for what we achieved under you, but that doesn't give you the right to completely destroy it then gaslight us into pretending it wasn't 1000% your own fault, get the **** out of our club, you've destroyed a legacy.

Yep, for a lot of years (mainly due to my dislike of our style obsession) I’ve focused on promoting mangers I think will provide fans with more exciting football in my opinion. Our club was built on a blueprint set in place by Pearson that built us most the premier league winning team, under Ranieri we shifted away from it slightly, then Puel to a large extent put us back on track, young hungry players with a point to prove and sell on potential, Rodgers early on continued that and got the most out of the players, then abandoned it to chase expensive signings on big wages. Ideally the club would have a structured blueprint that managers, coaches and players slot into, then when they move on, there is already a replacement lined up who fill that space. KP and the board have shown they don’t have the competence to do this, so now we just desperately need a manager who has the capacity to rebuild us from the ground up as Pearson did. Style of play and immediate entertainment is now secondary. Hopefully we strike gold with a manager who can do both, but right now we need a back to basics manager who is willing to stand up to the circus.

Have to say, abusing a player Infront of his child crosses a line for me, given how many idiots are out there it probably feels quite threatening as a dad to have angry fans shouting as you with your daughter in your arms. With that said though, and not excusing that behaviour, it's no wonder the fans decided to shout at him in the carpark, the players ignore the fans on the field and piss off down the tunnel at the first opportunity, they get protection in and out of the ground, then drive off in their supercars to their million £ homes with absolutely zero care in the world for the fans or the club, they live lives of privilege and luxury, and to the fans they take it all for granted, whilst the fans take the shit sandwich they deliver week in week out. We see it in countries like Italy where the captain will take the players over to the ultras to talk with them or at times even argue with them, that is what builds respect with the fans, standing up to be counted when it matters. LCFC players are overpaid and wrapped in cotton wool, the club actively doing everything they can to take all responsibility or repercussions away from the players whilst they walk around the pitch when we are chasing a game and facing relegation down the barrel. I couldn't for a moment do what some of those fans were doing as I don't think it's fair, but if the players continue to take absolutely zero accountability, and do nothing other than a half arsed social media post, they are going to make people with less self control even more angry.

I don't know the details of the deal, but feel confident in assuming that we are paying a fee for this loan, paying a good chunk of his wages, and he's using our facilities to rehabilitate, all without the ability to send him back without a penalty? It's the KPFC way.

I'd actually welcome the board grovelling to Ruud to bring him back. I'd take him over any single one of these spineless players. He has higher standards in his toes than any of them.

Yep, I called for Cooper to go, Ruud was just as bad, I was one of the first to call for Marti to go (I started around 8 games in, but I was biased as I hate possession football). Rowett has disappointed massively. It's worth noting though that in January we were in touching distance of the playoffs, if Marti went then I think we were in a much stronger position to bring a better calibre of manager in like Hassenhuttl. In the end, the board once again were too slow to make a decision and ended up desperate for anyone.

Players are clowns, Rowett a ****ing clown for doing nothing about the players being clowns. Same formation, same players, same refusal to make subs until the 60th minute alarm goes off on his watch.

We’d have been better off in 2026 if we kept Dean smith, we’d have been better off this season under Ruud. I think when you’re in a position like we were under Cooper or Marti you have to roll the dice, but under these owners it’s often a bigger gamble than sticking with whoever is underperforming.

Everything else aside, the fact he continues to pick Mavididi despite being one of the worst players in the squad this season has convinced me I don’t want Rowett anywhere near this club next season. Even if Mavididi makes me eat my words and scores today, he’s shown absolutely zero under Rowett and he keeps picking him, that screams that he’s being picked out of favouritism or stubbornness. Mavididi deserves to be nowhere near this club after the last 2 seasons.

Honestly don't care if any of them go, there are a few players we will probably get stuck with like Skipp, but he was never on monstrous wages even in the prem, estimated 50k, so if those rumours are true he will likely be cut right down to 20k in league 1, which would be big, but doubt we will get bidders and he has been one of the few players to find form this season. Nelson will likely go but we should attempt to keep him and only bring in a manager who will play him, Page, Evans and Aluko need to be priority next season. Begovic will be 39, but if he can stay fit and will take a wage cut/new deal, he will be more than good enough for L1 and is multiple levels clear of Jakub imo, or if Vietes is willing to stay give him a try. Coaches also need moving on. Quite literally every other player can go, I really don't care, this club needs a FULL reset where we let go of everyone on over 20k in wages and focus on free transfers and loans. The only real saving grace for us being in this mess, is that if we can keep the lights on, we are the absolute pinnacle of League 1 facilities, and if any player has options in league 1 for example premier league players in need of a loan, we will be where they go over anyone else, and we will be the preferred destination for those top clubs given our facilities, we need to take full advantage and bring in atleast 5 loan players to protect our finances. There are plenty of cheap players who have decent potential who would move to us from European 2nd division teams such as Jocelyn Janneh who I flagged in the summer who has made 22 starts for Bastia this season and is a hard battling defensive midfielder. We can also start scouting foreign leagues with a bit less risk, places like Norway/Sweden who are producing decent talent at Championship/lower prem level who may be able to be snatched up in league 1 at the beginning of their journey. We have to be ruthless.

I think it's too late to even bother gambling now. Unless we can convince Torquay to lend us Warnock with payment being us loaning them a couple of players. If you gave me the option of Warnock right now I'd head down to Torquay this evening.

We could have got Charles for £1-2m upfront in the summer. I was screaming for it. This club is an embarrassment.

Players are the common denominator, that doesn't mean the manager is good enough, Cifuentes was completely out of his depth, a lot of it out of his control as you can't force players to care, what you can do though is drop the ones who don't, he consistently chose the old guard who kept putting us in the mess and omitted players who wanted to run. Rowett has fallen into the exact same trap. Often when teams try to play youth and get themselves into a mess, it's logical to then bring in the experienced heads to steady the ship. The issue for Leicester has been the opposite, it's experienced players we are the ones throwing us under the bus week in week out, and Rowett has continually chosen to pick the likes of Ricardo, Mavididi, Skipp/Winks, he keeps bringing on Ayew who just slows the game down instead of taking a gamble and throwing Mukasa upfront or even bloody Vestergaard. Rowett cannot be blamed for ANYTHING other than his own decisions, and his decisions are very hit and miss. We've run around a bit more, worked a bit harder and that's about it, he really hasn't shown anything to suggest he is the long term answer, he can barely get us fired up to be solid for the first 5 minutes, that's predominantly on the players, but GR is failing to fix that at a time we desperately need fire and hunger. I genuinely believe we'd be mid table under Ruud with half of these idiots gone.

I think it’s a mix of things, but as usual it all goes back to the top. We’ve lost leadership throughout the club. Under Pearson, there was strong leadership everywhere. From the ownership with Vichai, to the manager, to the senior players, everyone set standards. There was a balance: they could enjoy themselves, but when it was time to switch on, they were serious, disciplined, and playing for the badge and fans. Now all of that is gone. Vichai’s gone, Pearson’s gone, the leaders in the dressing room are gone, and even the coaching structure has lost that authority. Over time, it feels like the club has allowed player power and cliques to take over. We've heard about meetings behind the scenes, the standards that made us successful have just eroded. I’ve been one of the people calling for a change in style of play for a while, but honestly, right now I don’t think that even matters. The priority has to be a full reset of the club’s mentality. Until that’s fixed, the football itself is secondary. If we stay up, there are a few managers I’d like us to look at from a style perspective, but more than anything we need someone who will come in and take control, a proper no-nonsense figure like Pearson. Someone who can grab the players by the scruff of the neck, challenge the board, and set standards again. Ideally, a well-run club has a clear blueprint, and everything from the manager, the players, the style fit into that. Pearson understood that. Right now, it's become clear the ownership don’t have that vision and even if they do, they have absolutely zero ability to create it, so we need a manager who can come in and impose one. I hope the new TD is also not just another yes man and will impose standards again.

Can he REALLY be as bad as this? How is he not getting a single minute?

BCFC fans are absolutely fuming over this, many on the OTIB forum are liking this to Nige being sacked where they’ve effectively gotten rid of a manager that seemingly was given an impossible job, got shafted in January and with the tools he had was showing signs of being a good coach. Might be worth looking out for if we can somehow pull of a minor miracle. I’m not 100% sold but looks an interesting one for where we are.

I did chuckle also, there are multiple "water points" around the circuit for fans to fill up their water bottles for free, and all of them had signs on them "Must be the cold water" and "Must be the hot water"

IIRC I think it was the pre race b-roll that F1 play during the build up (i've slept since then) but one of the clips shown was what looked like the crowd for one of the pre race shows they have on stage with presenters in one of the fan zones, the crowd looked like a world cup final at hyde park, it seemed to go on forever.
