Okay so hopefully someone can fill me in here, but there is a lot of chatter from many suggesting the EFL are desperate to hammer us with points deductions and massive fines, consigning us to years the championship, I’ve been caught up in this too, but can someone explain how? What basis do the EFL have to hit us with? We were down there for a single season, we will be receiving parachute payments and are likely to sell atleast 100m in player sales again, our wages will be less than half what they were in 22/23, what would the grounds be for a deduction for example, I’m not trying to argue it won’t happen I’m genuinely just oblivious to what grounds this deduction would be based on.

Give Danny Rohl: Jakub Iversen 1 year deal Kristiansen Coulibaly Justin Coady Nelson Okoli Vestergaard (stuck with him) Souttar Winks Skipp Bdcr Ayew Fatawu Alves Mavididi Daka (if we can’t offload him) And a couple of competition places and he gets us promoted. Faes out, Vardy retires or leaves, Ndidi will go to a better club in a top European league, Bilal and Mads will make us £70m if Okoli goes for £10m then so be it Bouba will attract a few teams given his improvement this season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us make £100m in sales in summer and be able to bring a couple of cheap recruits in, Ward finally off the wage book. I know it’s doom and gloom, and we might end up with a points deduction, if it’s not too harsh, Big Danny can get a squad with this quality into the playoffs. Time to Rohl the dice.

Can't disagree there, we are an absolute mess.

They are a bigger circus than us, Chansiri attended a fans forum a couple of weeks ago and told the fans if they hate him so much it's their responsibility to find a buyer or he's going nowhere, fans are holding protests against him, last year he called the fans selfish and at one point told the fans he would not put a single penny into the club any longer (they lose money every month) and the fans were responsible for financing the club going forwards (thankfully he was lying) over the past 3 years, the club have owed millions to players and managers because chansiri has on many occasions not paid wages. Their pre tax loses are getting bigger and Danny Rohl has spent a total of £4.5m on 13 players, none of which would get into our championship squad. Wednesday IMO have absolutely zero potential with Chansiri in charge, we are in a mess, but Chansiri is one of the worst owners in the football pyramid.

If Rudkin was moved on today, a public apology given by Top and KP, acknowledgement of errors and vowing to fix them starting with a DOF being announced, most fans would accept that. It won't happen, one thing that would happen is if a new ownership came in, they would very likely recognise the issue and bring in a DOF, So I had to vote King Power out. I have zero faith in Top fixing this.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
cityfanlee23 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's crazy how we've managed to lurch from 1 manager making wild decisions straight to another. I can't think of a manager in most of the top leagues in Europe that would have dropped Ricardo and Fatawu like Cooper did, I was absolutely convinced that any manager worth his Salt would IMMEDIATELY walk in the door and reinstate them, The same situation for Soyuncu and Rodgers, the moment Soyuncu was reinstated by Smith, we immediately improved. Now Fatawu and Ricardo are long-term injured, and we've managed to find a manager who wants to play a high line with Vestergaard, and consistently dropping arguably our most creative outlet in buonanotte, who likely doesn't want to be here anymore. How do we keep consistently finding managers who continuously make decisions even their most ardent supporters struggle to defend? -

This one is 100% on Ruud. I want Buonanotte to go if Ruud is staying, clearly doesn't fancy him and he's wasting a slot we could use for a first-team player. -
I'd be tempted to play Facundo in CM alongside Bouba until Wilf is fully sit. This is a mental stat, but both Bilal and Facundo have played 300 mins less than Winks, Facundo has made 42 tackles, Bilal 29, Winks 24.
-
Said this last season and will repeat, he was okay in the championship because we played a system that led to teams sitting in a deep block, meaning we had to adopt a "horse shoe" system of moving the ball across the pitch between the wings to try to create space, Winks was good at this, because it suited his playstyle of only playing passes sideways and backwards, over 75% of his passes last season were sideways or backwards and the vast vast majority were safe, short passes, I'd wager there were 10 or more midfielders in the Championship who could do that, Skipp could do that. This season, his sideways and backwards passing is very similar statistically (only slightly less) but we no longer dominate the ball, he can't tackle, he can't intercept, he can't make line-breaking passes, he doesn't shoot, doesn't assist and doesn't get stuck in when we are struggling for possession. He's a luxury player we can't afford to play if we want to stay up. If we can shift him on today we might as well bring in Banzuzi who is far more capable of throwing himself around. I want to like Winks, but there have been way too many times where he has gone missing in crucial games where we need leadership on the pitch and for someone to grab the team by the scruff of the neck, his behaviour after Cooper got sacked showed a real lack of professionalism.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

The idea that Pep or prime Fergie couldn’t keep this squad up is just laughable. squads just as bad as us have stayed up in the past because the managers knew how to defensively structure a team. Ruud for all of the improvements he’s made in transition clearly has absolutely zero idea of how to stop us leaking goals, teams that have stayed up in the past but been poor do so because the manager instils fight in them. We have less fight now than we did under Cooper somehow. -
To be honest, I don't think whoever comes in will keep us up, but, for me with the squad we have staying up is unlikely, so I'm not really thinking about that, what I'm focusing on is what the manager is doing with the awful players we have at our disposal, and is that manager showing he has the capability to get the most out of the squad individually, and as a unit, and is the manager showing he has the capacity to build us back up should we go down. I think we know the answer to all of those questions, sadly.

Yep my best mate is an owl, Chansiri is somehow worse than Top, but it can't be by much
-
Plenty of clubs up and down the country are in the same position, top managers find a way to offset some of the circus above them. I'm going to keep banging this drum, but Danny Rohl is an example of this, one of the worst owners in English football but Danny has them fighting tooth and nail with a relegation level Championship squad to within touching distance of the playoffs, he's completely rallied the players and fans behind him, which has sort of created an opposing force to the mess Chansiri is unloading on them every week. Some managers prove themselves in these situations, sadly Ruud has made us better in transition, and worse in every other area of the game.
-
Claude Puel would genuinely be a monumental upgrade right now and i'd 100% trust him with a rebuild. If we have 5m to spend on players though, give the entire sum to Sheffield Wednesday and bring Rohl in TOMORROW.
-
Yeah I was joking
-
I was lowkey joking, but I would 100% take him right now. Boring football, but has a proven eye for a player. Could do much worse.
-
Bring him back. Give him a rebuild.
-
Ruud is making me want Rodgers back at this point
-
Okay. I'm ready for the poll.
-
-
We are that bad I would welcome Big Sam right now. I think Big Sam would massively improve us sadly.
-
Im reacting on emotion again, but I don't think logic makes any sense any more, part of me thinks we are going to lose anyway, so make it 8-0 and force their hand. This is becoming a joke. It's almost an impossible task keeping us up, but how has Ruud made us defensively weaker than we already were, I might aswell be in charge at this point, christ I might as well play.

Popping the champagne by about 6pm?
