  1. A lingering thought in the back of my mind is, what if we stick with Ruud and he walks in the summer after failing to keep us up, if we stick with him after 7 defeats in a row and he then abandons us anyway in summer, unless theres been some massive agreement breach and we promised money in January only to sign nobody else, Ruud walking in summer if we go down would be a massive kick in the teeth if we gamble on him when he’s so far proven so far he can’t stop the rot. We need assurances just as much as he does if we are going to keep him.
  2. 100%! not sure he would come here though with the risk of relegation so close. If we were mid table I think his next move would be a club in that sort of position.
  3. It’s such a weird situation where I think Ruud has actually improved us in transition and we often look better on the ball, but I don’t think Cooper would have taken us on this disastrous run. We’ve somehow got “better” but make far more mistakes.
  4. Half of this forum would hve turned their noses up at him, insanity.
  5. No ridicule from me, I do think in transition we have improved, but defensively and offensively we seem to be making more individual errors than ever despite often being setup in a better structure, why is that? The thing that really made life difficult under cooper was the constant errors, how has that got worse when the play generally has improved? The club have loads of issues, and Ruud isn't the biggest. My thought process is really that we aren't going to be saved by the January window, Ruud needs to prove he can improve the players at his disposal, the shape and system have improved, but the players are not improving apart from a few like Soumare, I'd argue even Buonanotte is having a bad patch where he's struggling to do anything effective right now, hopefully, that's just a patch and not the system working against him. If we are continuing with one eye on the championship, Ruud needs to prove to us NOW that he has the capacity to take us down, stick with us (maybe he gets relegated and walks, and sticking with him was a waste of time?) but that he can rebuild us and build a really solid football foundation, the results speak for themselves, he is struggling to find a way to plug the gaps, and he's not giving me much confidence that if we go down, have zero money to spend, and points deductions, that he's going to be able to scrape us up. I'm not saying he can't do it, but just that he isn't proving he can right now. To me so far he hasn't seemed like much of a leader, from his press conferences, his lack of demanding to bring personnel into the coaching staff (If that's what he wants) his touchline mannerism, his in game management with subs etc, he just doesn't fill me with any confidence, the fact players were just walking off the pitch yesterday not acknowledging the fans just because the fans are frustrated is the opposite of a siege mentality that we need if we are to have a prayer of staying up. When the board, coaches, scouts, ownership and players are underperforming, we need a manager to step up the to plate and drag the club forward, right now Ruud just doesn't inspire me like that. I keep banging on about managers like Danny Rohl, but he's a perfect example of the board and the ownership being an absolute circus, the first thing Danny did when he came in, he created a siege-like mentality, and he's effectively created a bubble, and inside it are the coaches, players and fans, and they are performing for each other despite the absolute circus upstairs.
  6. The thing that is concerning me regarding the fans supporting Ruud on here, it seems the vast majority of the arguments to continue to persevere with him can be summed up with “the squad is bad” “we have injuries” Absolutely nobody talking about anything positive about his management or the system he is creating. At some point he has to improve the players we have if we are going to stay up. Doesn’t seem like fans have any real reasons for keeping him, just excuses (legitimate points) as to why it’s not his fault. We KNOW the squad is bad, we KNOW the board is awful, what is Ruud doing though? What is he doing that shows you we can afford to go down knowing he will bring us back up?
  7. What's the story with that? Feel like I'm out of the loop with it, is it to do with the PSR penalties last season? I seem to remember people saying he hates us multiple years ago too but might just be imagining that
  8. We lack a lot of physicality but often physicality can be substituted with bravery, If players stopped shirking tackles we do have a few that could get stuck in. The new lad Woyo is physical, Faes has the stature to chuck a boot in, we know Vardy will, Okoli is a very physical player, Ndidi when he's fit knows how to get a tackle in, before he came to us Skipp was always a bit of a work horse. I think half of the battle is just getting into these players heads and giving them a siege mentality. That's one thing I've noticed recently especially after listening to Moyes interviews at Everton where he has on multiple occasions mentioned the need for the players to dig deeper and grind out results and to get stuck in, I don't think I've heard Ruud mention anything like this since being here? He doesn't seem like the type that got the players into the dressing room today and threw some bins around sadly.
  9. All of those had legitimate reasons.
  10. Top could probably swing the majority of fans just by announcing he is reshuffling the board and bringing in seasoned pros with experience and track records, and announcing to fans he is taking full responsibility and is taking the steps to fix it. He won't.
  11. You may be right, but that concerns me even more then, either Ruud is happy with the staff we have, he isn't happy but is too weak to force anything. Or possibly he's been deceived by us.
  12. The last thing we need is to be bought by Musk who would use the club as a legal means to funnel money into his dream oligarchy party. If Musk bought LCFC I would stop supporting us the same day.
  13. Genuinely curious case this one, why? why is he not camped outside of Tops office screaming about this? Seems to me like he's happy with the staff and doesn't want to bring in his own.
  14. RB Leicester, I really don't care anymore.
  15. I think we would be hovering around the bottom 3. I think he's been massively overrated at Chelsea this season too, has he improved Chelsea? yes, even most people who wanted him out admitted they wanted him out because his football just can't work with our players without spending 150m+ on quality, I fully expected him to improve Chelsea, and he's now without a win in 5 with one of the biggest squads to choose from in the division and having spent 240m on players, and now wants to spend another 100m+ if rumours are true whilst 13 points off top. He's not as good as everyone thought he was. With that said, he can still prove me wrong over time obviously, and I will say, I fully believe if he was manager, our squad would be far better balanced and we would have signed better players, I believe he would have quickly replaced JJ as backup to Ricardo, and Kristiansen would have been moved on and replaced with a better Left Back because we know Kristiansen didn't want to play his inverted role, He likely would have signed a CB instead of Skipp considering the fact he doesn't fancy Coady. So I think we would be in a similar position trying to play Enzoball, but I think Ruud would now be inheriting a better squad than the one Cooper left.
  16. Danny Rohl 100%, I'd give him the job now, Sheffield Wednesday owner has basically told the fans last week to FOAD, said there's no money to spend, and if the fans want him out the fans are responsible for finding a buyer, Rohl would come to us, give him a free hit and he WILL build us. I also think QPR's manager Marti Cifuentes is going already doing a great job at QPR. I'd love to say stick with Ruud and give him a rebuild, but he's not showing any real promise so far.
  17. So where are we now? We know we don't have money to spend, we KNOW the team is bad, so the ONLY way we survive, is if Ruud can make the players we have play better. So when and how? And if he can't improve us to do the very basics, how can we believe he will bring us back up when we inevitably go down? He's failed to bring any sort of siege mentality to this relegation fight, nobody cares. These are some of the worst subs I've ever seen. Yes we have technically improved but have been hit with poor mistakes from the defence and poor finishing from the attackers, but have we REALLY improved that much from Cooper ball? Have we improved enough to justify going down with a whimper? I honestly feel awful, because, and I'll say it again, Ruud is one of my favourite players ever, and I really want him to get this right, but this is just awful, the subs are just completely tone-deaf, and completely bizarre, in interviews he gives absolutely zero hope and just comes across as monotone, I actually feel guilty for feeling how I do about his management skills because I've spent the best part of 20 years loving the man because of his career as a player. Someone, anyone, please reply to this and give me a decent justification why we should continue without saying "our team is bad" or "XYZ injuries" they are completely justified points, but beyond that what has significantly improved to justify getting relegated lying down like this? At some point, Ruud is either going to need to improve the majority of these players to keep us in the league, or get us back up next season. EDIT: This goes without saying, King Power OUT.
  18. I'm sorry gents, I've seen enough. I wanted to believe, I can see we are more exciting, but defensively we've collapsed, offensively we've collapsed, and these subs are some of the worst in game management I've seen. I've got absolutely nothing showing me he will be able to rebuild us in the champ, going down is a cliff edge, staying down could be a decade out of the prem. Danny Rohl in.
  19. Get this clown out and see if Nige is fit enough for a rebuild, Bilal off is all I need to see.
  20. Yeah, get this absolute clown out.
  21. Another poor defensive error from 3 players, Ruud is not absolved of responsibility either. We've somehow defensively collapsed since he came in. I hope we can turn this game around, but this is another game where Ruuds system is not giving me any hope that he can bring us up out of the Championship.
  22. He was the same last year. He made the most passes in the team if I remember rightly and about 80% of them were short sideways passes. He’s too easy to play out of the game.
  23. Regarding Rohl he could be more attainable than ever, I’m hearing from a friend that chansiri held a fans forum the other day where he basically said there’s no money to spend and if the fans want him gone they need to find a buyer 🤣
