Emile Heskey Facing Bankruptcy......
Vlad the Fox replied to ElusiveEd's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes when I saw this I did wonder if they had found him a job with us to help get him back on track, often something like that that is far more beneficial than just giving money, get him through his coaching badges or something similar to set him up on a new path. Is he still involved with the women? -

I know it’s different ownership now but would be nice if the club remembered this and helped him out.- 56 replies

Was that from the hole in the wall round the back? Moe I think he was called. If so then yes they were great. Seeing as we’re in that part of town I’ll add getting drunk and playing darts in the ‘ye old pack horse’ at lunch times then ****ing around in collage all afternoon.

The game finished but warnock complained to the fa that his goalkeeper was concussed by an object that was thrown from the crowd and so the game should be replayed. The fa caved in and it was replayed at covs highfield road, Ramsey scored the only goal in a 1 0 victory. Despite the the rematch the goals from the first game still counted towards the players season totals where Lineker bagged up. From what my dad said the coin that hit their keeper wasn’t thrown by Leicester fans but by the derby fans in the tier above who had been chucking stuff down onto us all game. I was gutted my dad wouldn’t take me but he said they’ll be trouble so best not to. I guess he was right. Still wish I’d have been there though.

Maybe, maybe not, but my point was that i don’t necessarily feel he is as bad as he was for us last season. Circumstances and a bad manager didn’t help him.

You have to consider that while 44% sounds high set pieces have been the best route to our goal for most teams this season. If we aren’t giving much up elsewhere then we are likely to concede a higher percentage from set pieces. It’s the number conceded compared to other teams that probably shows a truer picture to where we’re at. But imagine if we stopped conceding them, no one will score against us

True but everything had turned to shit by then. He shouldn’t have started the season and when he did he should have been dropped after the first round of games.
-
Just playing devils advocate a bit. As bad as ward was last season I can’t help feel that he was chucked under the bus by Rodgers. Out injured all pre-season it should have been Iverson who started the season in goal, but Ward was fit before the first game and straight in having played no pre-season matches and barely any the previous season, he wasn’t ready and as a result had a bad start resulting in his confidence plummeting. He’d not let us down in the past with his cup appearances, is he good enough for our first team? No. But I’m sure he’ll go somewhere and perform better than he did for us last season.

The championship is probably stronger than it has been for a few years. We’ve got 1st and 2nd with record point totals for the stage of the season and 3rd and 4th who would usually be first and second with their points. I think the difference lies because we shouldn’t have got relegated with the squad we had, even after sales in the summer, added a good manager and some new players we’re arguably a mid table prem team that’s been dropped into the championship.
-
Looking at the goal again it gets even better, anything other than a first time shot and he’s got two defenders to contend with.
-
I reckon VAR could turn that image into an hate crime.

Is that Sharky calling him boom

Hope he chooses Ireland, keep him away from all the tapping up that goes on with England.

Got to say I’m the same as others on here, a couple of grown men embarrassing themselves isn’t going to offend me. On another note mind I’ve often thought that millwall will never achieve what someone like brentford or luton and many other small clubs in the past have because of their backwards thinking. They’re a club whose fanbase still look romantically back at the era of football hooliganism with pride. Their reputation stinks and no one of a certain level wants to be part of it. Wrexham or other such team will rise and make the premier league before they even get close.
