Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
Vlad the Fox replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is not an argument to keep it though, yes we were all delighted it was disallowed, but had the linesman not had the fall back of var he may have flagged, he may not have, had it stood we may or may not have gone on to win the game. However whatever the decision would have been us or chelsea would have had to suck it up, we’d have gone home and got on with our lives, it wouldn’t have caused any real controversy as the call was so close. -

I’d take that if I could genuinely celebrate every goal given. -
Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR

VAR will never work, too many decisions are subjective. How well it’s implemented is irrelevant as you will always have the situation of not being able to fully celebrate goals because there will always be that doubt of if it’s going to be disallowed, and it will continue to kill that moment of euphoria that the game is essentially about. Even if you get every decision right if you can’t celebrate a goal properly the game is dead. -

Prem fans groups need to make themselves seen and heard this weekend. Send out a message to the authorities and their clubs. -
Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
Vlad the Fox replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
Can UFS and foxes trust put pressure on the club to vote to scrap it? This season has been a joy to watch matches without it. I don't see anything in the statements from wolves or the Premier league that addresses the fact that it massively diminishes the enjoyment of the match for fans. Kills the euphoria of scoring goals. We're the paying customers after all. -
Come on premier league get rid.

Premier league to vote on scrapping VAR. Please, please please. Never thought it would happen but there must be people in the game as fed up with it as us fans to get this opportunity.

What are your expectations for next season?
Vlad the Fox replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
We'll get a 6 point deducting and finish 5 points behind the champions. We'll then do what leeds do and sing about a trophy we never won for years. -
Ring the club. This happened to me last year when I was applying for my lad. I rang the ticket office and was told he had qualified by 1 point. It was a good job I decided to ring as I was assuming he hadn’t got enough points.
-
Remember that a lot on here, myself including, are paying for themselves and family members so the figure could be misleading (both ways) for example I had one vote but have had two cards for myself and my lad. There’s other people been saying they’ve been paying for up to four.
-
Just bought mine, only cost £25 as my lad is now free.

Oh, I thought this was going to be a list of philanthropic agents who were renouncing their greed and offering their services for nowt.
-
What will happen though, the greedy six will drag the whole league over there then demand the lions share of the money because more fans will want to watch them than matches like Leicester v notts, or palace v wolves ect… Meaning all the smaller clubs will have all the hassle and disruption of something only ever put in place to benefit the greedy six, and all for a pittance in comparison.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Vlad the Fox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
By Jove I’ve got it!!! Insert a release clause of say, £45m, into rudkins contract and then have Leuven come in and activate it. Everyone’s a winner. Except maybe Leuven. Sorry Leuven. -
Depending on how the season goes we may well be cheering them onto the pitch. May even come up with a supportive chant for them
-
Maybe skmanuk is rudkin and the club are getting rid of him by stealth.
-
Sounds like one of robin hoods merry men.

Agree. Initially the premier league (premiership) was a jolt in the arm for a game that was on its knees after years of football hooliganism. But it ran without any controls and has become an out of control monster that has devoured the traditions of the game without any recourse.

Cheaper match tickets/season tickets, grassroots, delivering more money further down the football pyramid. A lot of the changes that are/will ruin football like the 39th game European coefficients, esl are all driven by greed, to get more money in for the select few. If that money can’t be spent hopefully the drive won’t be there to endlessly seek revenue streams that are ruining the game for local and match going fans throughout the pyramid, and hopefully change the profile of those mega rich owners looking to take on a football club. Tax or levy clubs that bring in over a certain amount, limit what owners can take out of a club??? Essentially though, football is quickly moving away from being a meritocracy than ever before and it needs stopping, I don’t care about what they do with the extra revenue, give it to a donkey sanctuary but the money in the game and the desire to exploit it at all costs, however detrimental to the game it is, needs sorting.
-
Hopefully this will be the changing of the tide, start with 4.5x the lowest revenue then in future years bring it down to 4, 3.5, and 3. Then start to bring in salary regulation's. The game is starting to run scared of a regulator forcing change so are trying to get their house in order first. Remove the need for massive wealth and hopefully you’ll remove a lot of the greed (unless owners start lining their own pockets, which again could be regulated against) and fans will start getting better deals on ticket prices ect. And if the greedy six don’t like it tell them where to go.
-
It's why the game needs a purposeful regulator with teeth to stop the heart and soul of the game being ripped out by foreign billionaires with their own agenda.
