  1. I can remember when we got promoted and after the great escape we had some of their fans telling us it would take years for us to reach their levels of mediocrity, we then went and won the league
  2. Thought Vesty was superb dictating the direction of play and controlling the tempo. Another very comfortable win with excellent use of the squad.
  3. Had to laugh at them giving it the big un as they went past the bricklayers, throwing beer and bottles at us, kids and pensioners, while safely hiding behind the police escort. But let’s face it stoke is only second to luton as the biggest sh1t hole in England so not too surprised.
  4. Yeah the 90’s are back
  5. I’d take it. We’ve not had a howler go against us yet this season yet there’s been a number of goals that var would have left us all waiting for the decision on. I’d take the odd howler to not have the disruption and still wrong decisions. The game is about goals and var kills that explosion of jubilation, I’d not realised how much it was spoiling football until this season and it’s amazing the vast numbers of people saying the same thing.
  6. The mars bars are quite good.
  7. My take is that I’ve rang the club up and asked for my season ticket to be moved into the away end
  8. Again another proposal that allows the cartel to continue in their ways. How about a proposal that spreads the wealth across all divisions so that when teams are relegated they drop in to a league that is already operating at a much closer level. As mentioned this could encourage fire sales to comply and will weaken the the ability of promoted clubs to compete in the premier league with the threat of relegation and its consequences hanging over every decision they make. Taking a bit more of what ever competitiveness is left away. Why can’t anyone ever come up with a proposal that is actually good for the whole of the game and forces everyone to comply. Not that certain clubs would allow it but it would be nice to see some new and good ideas.
  9. I was going to say it could be derby as they came to the KP that season thinking they were the footballing team and we’re going to turn us over before scuttling back home having been spanked. Then I read it and it’s clearly a forest fan
  10. Var won’t get any better because so many decisions are subjective. Goals and offsides are (should be) black and white decisions and technology can be and will be improved and used to make them even more accurate. However fouls, penalties ect are purely opinion, one on the pitch and one in the var caravan, one in the heat of the action, one in a sterile environment. I thought var would stop diving but all it did was make players realise any contact and they can go down as var would deem it enough for a penalty. I have no issue for it in certain situations however wish it would stay out of a lot more, refs (despite what we say) get most decisions right, var is an intrusion on the game that spoils it, certainly for the match going fans, and the small percentage of decisions it corrects (in comparison to refs pre var which was about 92%) is hardly worth the cost and disruption. And let’s not forget the absolute howlers it is getting wrong now.
  11. They should turn the var cameras off at anfield in protest.
  12. Hang, so those people I pass sat in their cars when I leave at full time, leave early to go and get at the front of the queue and then have to sit there for an hour **** me that’s insane
  13. Haven’t you noticed the thread title change? It’s now the “Do we mean us” thread.
  14. I seem to remember a cov kit in the past being sold in their shop were you could see the shadow from a king power logo that had been removed. Did this really happen or have I dreamt it?
  15. Yes, that’s true, it’s a shame though that eufa and fifa weren’t quick enough to see it happening or even the government weren’t more alert to try and do something, unfortunately fan culture is selfish (maybe it’s changing) and if their club benefits then stuff the rest. We really need a national and European fans body that has teeth and the best interests of the game as a whole as it’s priority.
  16. The problem with the loan is that we’ll never sell him at the end once they’ve seen him play. No wonder we were holding out for a fee.
  17. Which is why the fa and governing bodies should have withstood the pressure and kept the integrity of the sport in check. I don’t give a shit about the premier league being the best, richest, most watched league when it all comes at the cost of competitiveness, the very thing that makes sport exciting.
  18. Shef u fan rang 606 on Sunday about how uncompetitive the premier league is and how it will destroy teams in years to come and ruin football. Was worthy of a much bigger discussion but they then made him hang on as they had an interview with heckingbottom then when they came back to him he was told he only had 30 seconds has they were going to the news. He’d probably only been shouted down by premier league fan boy savage however I get the feeling listening to other fans that there is the start of a mood swing towards the premier league. Hopefully it quickly gains traction as the greedy six don’t want competition.
  19. Turns out neither, and we didn’t need 5 minutes of var deliberation to find a way to disallow it.
  20. Can’t wait
  21. I remember many years ago when we played cov at home the club were doing a deal for season ticket holders to upgrade to the fosse club for a match. We got a penalty and I jumped up and shouted for it, the ref gave it and while the players were arguing and we were waiting to take it a had a tap on my back and was asked to sit down Nothing was happening at that point and I had every intention of sitting down when we took the penalty being aware of people behind me sitting.
  22. That would be belting if we could get that going with big numbers, come on boys and girls. In fact one of the best ways to get it out there would be for you to sing it on the pod. Don’t be shy
  23. Had another old school hymn pop in my head when I saw the give me oil chant for straight back up. A simple tune easily adapted, easy to add verses, the song is where you there? when I needed a team you were there you were there when I needed a team you were there Royal blue is the colour and the team is Leicester you were there wherever you travel I’ll be there I’ll be there wereever you travel I’ll be there Royal blues is the colour and the team is Leicester I’ll be there. Crowd scenes
  24. Interesting to read the comments about var. I was speaking to a Liverpool fan last week saying the same thing, that I hadn't realised how much it was spoiling the enjoyment of football for me until this season. Shame the authorities take no notice. Would be interesting to see a poll for and against, though if it was heavily against nothing would happen as football must be about the only industry where the thoughts of its customers don't matter.
