Guess that's where we differ. Would've like to go far in the EL, but not particularly bothered about the FA cup.

With the state our squad is in, and the way we've performed in recent games, I have seen nothing to suggest we have a realistic chance of winning it. The chance of our youngsters winning it probably isn't much slimmer than our main squad, at is currently stands. Call me a boring old pessimist (I like to think pragmatist) but I think we're far more likely to injure players and ruin our already slim top 4 chance than we are to win the FA cup. And not many great players are going to join you just 'cus you won the FA cup.

At this point I'd play the weakest squad I possibly could, just to give what few players we have left a bit of a rest.

Sunday night is the best time by a clear mile for WL. Normally get gold 2 but tend to stop at gold 3 now (found that the rewards aren't worth the extra games). But did Gold 3 on Sat and still had about 6 games left on Sunday, so thought I'd play them on Sunday night instead of doing some rivals. Late Sunday night you seem to come across people that are rushing to finish their games. Came across 3 people that went all-out attack/high pressure from the start, I think in an aim to score early and make me quit. As soon as I went 1 or 2 up, they quit, giving me an easy win. Easy Gold 2 in the end (though sadly I also came across some ridiculous guy who beat me about 7 - 0).

Dunno about that - Chris Wood scored a pretty great goal with his face a while back. Don't think he was trying for that one.

You're right he doesn't - but you can only invite so much pressure on yourself before mistakes happen. This seems down to the game plan - we seem to have deliberately sat back.

Teams looking like this now. Only just completed Kroos, but really rate him. Worth doing IMO if he goes in your team. I bought Messi, but ended up selling him again. He just gets pushed off the ball far too easily.

I bought Lloris today - I normally use IF Ramos + Varane with Courtois, since I have all 3 untradable, but wanted to try out the Fofana & Varane combo. After he conceded 6 goals from 7 shots I promptly sold him again, haha.

Sold mine last weekend after the first leg. Had an idea that this might happen.

Yes. I have Rooney, Kante and Aouar too in my team (well not Aouar anymore, he was replaced by Rooney). All are good, but Neymar is another level of good.

I packed Neymar untradable, and I basically built my entire team around him, he's that good. Much better than Mbappe, in my opinion. I play him as a striker alongside Prime Kaka (who may even be better than Neymar, and strong links to Neymar too). So much fun.

Also I'm 8 - 3 in WL so far. Which means I'm about to hit a run of horrible losses. Edit: Yup, just lost the next two. Including losing one 7 - 2, while the guy did a dance celebration after every goal.

I'm debating doing Cole. I got the 85 rated Cole from a pack last Icon swaps, and while he's not the best going forward, he's amazing defensively (and links well to my Rooney). Can't decide whether it's worth spending 9 tokens to upgrade him though, or gamble on getting something better.

To be fair to the Government, if the vaccine rollout had gone horribly wrong, they'd be getting all the criticism, so it's only right that they should get some of the credit for it going well. I hope when history looks back on this though, the success (hopefully) of the vaccines doesn't absolve them of the absolute mess they've made through most of this pandemic. I'm glad they seem to be getting something right, but for the most part their governance has been a shambles.

Have the 87 Reiner, and he's great - especially as I've got Neymar and Kaka, he links so easily. I was comparing the two, and I swear he has better stats than Kaka does! On another note, I have a dilemma. I just got 86 N'didi from my red pick in WL. However I already have the 87 RTTF N'didi (who could also get upgraded) - and he's tradable. Debating whether to sell him or not - I love the RTTF N'didi card, but I don't need two of them, and I can get 300k for him.

Sad to hear that. I'm saving up for him and a decent Vardy (already have RTTF N'didi, Kante, TOTW Maddison, TOTW Tielemans and the HL Mahrez) for my Leicester themed team. Probably will take 3 weeks or so to afford him, so sucks that he's not any good.

Got 88 Gomez TOTGS from the party bag. Not bad. Probably won't even make my subs bench, but I was expecting a OTW Ake or something along those lines, so can't complain. Plus a strong link to my Dybala, if I ever decide to put together a Serie A team.
