To get promoted from the Championship as winners in your first full season as a manager is impressive whatever the circumstances. Yes we “should” have gone up based on our resources but we “shouldn’t” have gone down. He worked wonders on the mental side for me. The team was broken. I of course understand valid criticism and fears but the amount of folk who wouldn’t mind if he left or, want him to, is baffling to me. He may not become a top coach but he has to be given a chance and can’t really have done much more than he did last season. The biggest plus for me was that when we NEEDED to deliver, we did. That mental side of the game has been out downfall for the last 5 seasons or so. Yes we had a dip but it did coincide with Ndidi being injured and the cloud of legal action. We were maybe also guilty of switching off slightly. But in the end, when it MATTERED. Enzo delivered. That’s huge for me. Hoping for a successful season.

I’ve hit a few but just cannae get consistent. I’m decent some days then terrible others. I do enjoy it though, find it therapeutic.

Well done Usyk, thoroughly deserved. The general consensus on Reddit about older boxers (Ali, etc) is that they wouldn’t have a chance against modern ones “because they’re too small” but Usyk proves the point here. Ali (same height and slightly heavier than Usyk) would annihilate Fury, Wilder, Joshua. Great fight and the better boxer/man won. All time great.

Everybody hacking Kasey tonight.

On his day one of the best defensive midfielders we’ve ever had (a long way behind Kante but most people are). He also played very very well before his injury this season and if he was 100% committed I’d be happy to keep him and think he could do a job in the Prem but it probably feels like it’s best to move on for both parties. No hard feelings and will be remembered fondly. Best of luck if you do move on Wilf.
