  1. now that some of the psr dust has settled, it’s clear to me that our squad is good enough to survive. it’s gone from an impossible job to something achievable. The free pass cooper probably thought he’d get on this is gone and he won’t get another prem job if he gets sacked with us sat in the relegation zone. Even though corberan was so clearly the best fit in the summer, I think a mid season change would not be ideal for him. Is he going to be able to jump in and fight the fires with someone else’s squad? That’s a risk and probably one he won’t take while riding high with west brom. For me, and i said this post brendan as well, rafa would be the one id back to get the job done. With a focus on defensive football being implemented, he’d probably be the compromise that could work for us. Very attainable as well after a lack lustre stint at celta vigo
  2. Forest couldn’t have been promoted at a better time. So many faltering teams in ther first season, the second was just a pathetic attempt by the promoted sides. You look at them, bournemouth and fulham and just see them as established now. what a difference a few years can make if you get your decisions right. Funnily enough though, i don’t think forest did get those original decisions right. They just got away with it.
  3. fr 2 reasons though, 1 is that he’s obviously a lw and so is gordon… you’re not dropping gordon and don’t really want him out of position either. Secondly for the same reason we will be seeing a lot of ayew, one winger has a license to attack the other is more defensive. I’ve never seen barnes make a tackle. Being rated lower than Gordon is a bracket the majority of wingers would fall into
  4. a prime example of how some people will never be happy. homegrown, loved the club, unreal rates of return and the odd screamer like that in his locker … yet almost a third of our fan base were glad to see the back of him
  5. I think we’d notice a stark contrast in how bad we’d be without him. He will always be under appreciated because of how glaring his mistakes are but he is so tenacious and genuinely very good at stepping in early to get the ball back. Hes one of those that would look so much better as part of a competent back line and i don’t think he’s had that with us yet.
  6. this is weird, they looked to be going in the right direction. They won’t be the last club to get a job done on them by Oxford.
  7. buckle up because this is going to happen a lot this season.
  8. i meant more in quality than points. They are just clear imo. We are most sides. I can only see a 4 way battle personally
  9. what on earth makes you think brentford are going to be dragged into it? miles ahead of the bottom pack
  10. doesn’t seem to stop him getting or creating chances though. His minutes per chance rate is up there with the best in this league. It’s the lack of conversion that’s been killing him. But it seems everytime he gets benched as soon as he comes on he’ll score or assist so keeps the manager second guessing.
  11. west brim now headin go to top as we speak Things would have been so different if we’d pushed for him
  12. if we lose to everton, i’m curious whether we could pull the plug on cooper? it’s a tad harsh but at the same time, it seems clear that we’ve just got this all wrong. It only appears to be a 4 donkey race at the bottom and losing to everton is simply not plausible if we want to stay up. just go and beg corberan, he’d take it.
  13. disagree tbh. I think he’s just a bit raw but his goal contributions are generally very good. He’ll have a season one day where his shooting boots are on and he’ll look world class
  14. maddison. bentancur kulusevski. son. johnson solanke Looks like ange has thought long and hard about solutions to this game and come up with, attack more madison in the 8 for this game is wild. This is going to be a box office game one way or the other (spurs tears incoming)
  15. I can’t think of a good game. He’s had a a few average cameos but there’s never been a moment where I’ve felt he genuinely made a huge impact. He gets an easier ride than most because he’s a nice guy. But there’s no arguing it was a huge waste of money for someone his age.
  16. at least if we go 2 nil down they will be sh*tying themselves
  17. would be fine if we were just bringing him on to see out games.
  18. agreed. Skipp was incredibly impressive today, he ran so much. unfortunately he ran out of gas at the wrong times to prevent 2 huge chances for himself. That knockdown to mavididi in the first half was absolutely genius. Not many players that would t just smash that at goal and usually well over the bar. Shame stephy didn’t just bend it in with his right
  19. We would have been fine without phillips tbh. I don’t view cambiasso as over the hill but you are completely correct. That squad needed an experienced pro added as literally none of them had done it before. This squad is littered with players with plenty of experience. Point stands though, it so rarely comes off
  20. there were a lot of obvious subs today that were just ignored. Personally i was expecting bdr to come on for vardy just for a bit more energy… but instead we had vardy just jogging around not effecting much. Did hamza touch the ball? i’m not so sure but as always a bit of positivity gets a result today.
  21. genuinely atrocious business. I swear the last time an over the hill player was actually any use to us, was either nobby solano or ferdinand… every other time it just ends up a waste of money and space in the team. .
  22. didn’t look good enough in the championship, certainly shouldn’t be ahead of vesty in the prem. He’s up there with one of the worst signings we’ve made in recent times imo. 4m for him in the championship is so shoddy he’s not as good as souttar or nelson… can’t pick players based on history
  23. i think he had some good games actually. Early in the season (while they were in it) their fans were desperate to sign him. He lost motivation after they revealed they didn’t have the money to sign him he’s not good here but in slower paced leagues he’s good enough at a top level
  24. everything i expected him to be. Can’t believe the people that thought he was going to play attractive football here. He’s a coward and if he hadn’t sat on a horseshoe at forest there’s no way they’d have stayed up. They were outplayed in 90% of games but some how picked up points and we were absolutely honking as were a few others. I don’t buy that he did a good job that season at all. Get him out of our club
  25. I know we are terrible at flogging players but soumare was playing champions league football last year, he was rated highly, did fairly well from the fan reviews. How we couldn’t even sort out a half decent loan is beyond words.
