I don’t think the club was wrong taking a punt on daka. We got it wrong, but it was absolutely the right type of deal to go for. Fofana is the type of signing unimaginative teams make. Someone else’s flop. If we sign fotis and he’s shit, fair play at least we gambled on someone who could potentially be a star… i couldn’t see fofana ever being seen as a decent forward.

i hate how believable this is. If jakub is injured, iversen doesn’t want to be here, probably going out on loan. Then if cooper has half a brain he realizes we are an injury away from danny ward … we do have to bring someone in. As a prem side, i guess we don’t want to risk a 2m signing as who knows how much game time they could be needed for. Reality is, in the prem you do need 2 strong keepers. surely there’s better value around… but where’s the prem experience that cooper feels is imperative

well it’s possible to say that without sven we wouldn’t win the league of the fa cup. He brought in a few key pieces to our future notably kasper and nugent. Very likeable guy, really wanted it to work for him. I remember when he first came in and we signed a squad of prem players on loan and won a game 4-0 all 4 absolute screamers. Most hollywood i’ve felt as a leicester fan and it was a fun ride even if it wasn’t a success

this season feels like the final year of muzzys time with us. we went down, a group of players stuck around to right the wrong, got us back up at the first attempt but the next time will feel they all have to move on. I could take going down with a nice refreshed squad, but bringing in players like bdr and ayew just reminds me of us bringing in people like gillespie and ben thatcher … bare minimum attempt to try and stay up but going to end up going down in a far worse state history often repeats itself

it’s like the club are trying to do things the right way but don’t know how to. There is no actual plan in place. Essentially they are buying a young player with big potential, now that’s fine when you have a strategy, like brighton do. So if we signed him with an idea that he’d take a season to adjust or that he’s be going out on loan, then fine. But as we’ve seen with Cannon it appears we just sign to sign. Everyone raised an eyebrow when we signed him because we were overloaded at cb and vestergarde just signed a new deal, the path was already blocked. So for a team with limited resources to spend that much, it has to be for an upgrade to the first team. What’s happened, just like with cannon, the manager doesn’t really rate the player and neither were signed to loan out to improve and the path for a young cb to break into a relegation fight is really a harsh road. What’s the best that could happen, we get relegated and he gets minutes and turns out half decent? even then his value won’t be what we paid. It’s just on the surface brain dead recruitment and i heard someone coin the phrase “young dan amartey” and that stings because it looks bang on

at the end of the day if we have any chance of staying up we need to take a bit of a punt on someone. If this is the guy top of our remaining targets than just get it done

I wonder if the lack of game time for him could be because of our striker problem. I think there’s no option to replace vardy that cooper likes without daka and because of this, mavi is being held on the bench so that cooper has an option later in the game. I struggle to believe anyone would think bdr is a better option out wide

all you hear on social media (rightly) is questions on why man city haven’t been charged yet but I find it just as odd how Paquetta is still playing after the evidence was found against his betting? It seems huge double standards again that the minute information seemed to come out against tonali and toney both were banned pretty quickly… paquetta seems to be far more guilty than both of those and the premier league is twiddling their thumbs and letting him contribute. Maybe i’ve missed something in the case but he actually bet on his own teams games right? Feels like double standards again.

i’m not actually sold on this one. It’s the type of signing we should be going for but just have a gut feeling that the prem won’t be a good fit for him. Hope we do and im wrong but the premier league is the hardest league for an attacker in my opinion. It’s more physical you get less time on the ball than anywhere else and that’s why it’s so hard to sign these attacking flare players. Our old mate elyounoussy looked class for basel, it just doesn’t always translate

I think the journeymen wingers have been just as expected so far. I want to see buonnanotte, vardy , mav and abdul all on the pitch at the same time.
