look i’m not coopers fan at all but this is simply a management style. It’s not that he doesn’t have ideas or thoughts, it’s that he is a communicator who tries to set up players with something they are comfortable with and that they believe in. There are many great managers that will work with their best players to find the best solutions to team issues. They are the ones on the pitch, so they get a sense for what isn’t working for them. The signing part is a bit barmy, but i don’t believe it. We have a scouting network we weren’t suddenly getting players because kristiansen rates them ffs.

personally think that’s how it should always work. Any in season docking just looks at how they are doing and will pick something achievable. one for the next season messes up your summer plans as we found out the hard way

Don’t expect him to be starting for quite a while All you need to do is compare it with how he spoke so glowingly of edouard * fwiw we had a slow start with mahrez as well, got to be patient with these things

I just can’t wrap my head around why cooper wouldn’t have at least tried him out at cm in pre-season. He essentially just played there all season. If he had done, we may not have even signed skipp.

edouard Mav. fatawu Bilal. buannanotte winks vk. okoli. faes. ricardo hermansen I love to see this for a game. I know it’s unlikely but with the work rate on facundo and fatawu I think we’d still defend well higher up the pitch. Reality will be it’s Bilal or facundo but i’d still love to see if we could just attack a team to death.

just listened to the tippy tappy podcast with albrighton. He told a hilarious story about drinky demanding to talk to rudkin when chelsea wanted him, but he was hiding. Drinky apparently had to refuse to train until the dof would tell him what was going on… which is actually pretty fair. Big sam even questioned it “isn’t it the dof’s job to speak to the players in those situations” Im yet to hear a story about rudkin that doesn’t make him sound like a complete clown.

we were good in one of the 3 years though. The previous 2 we overspent massively for our revenue, we acted like a bigger club than we are… we enjoyed success and finished in europe in the first, but the second was the one where we underachieved and everything in the business side went south. Arguably, because we cheated on the 3 year cycle, you can say that that european finish was not fair and we took the spot from a club who hadn’t broken the rules. I despise the rules and the motivation behind them, but we flagrantly ignored them at the end of the day.

The sheer threat that they were going to hit us hard has consequently damaged us far more than a 6 point penalty would have. We have now ended up with a sub par manager and squad as our chances of survival looked bleak.
