I personally don’t get the hate of Tielemans. He dropped off a cliff in terms of performance but who didn’t under Rodgers. He never spoke badly about the club or tried to force a move. He just underperformed. But it’s not like he was always bad, he gave us some great moments. We shouldn’t be hating on players because of what the manager did to this club. Evans, Maddison, Barnes, youri … they all gave us great moments and would be looked back on as one of our golden era squads. Rodgers was toxic and I think everyone can see that, yet we still have to be bitter towards a player like youri who honoured his contract? We’ve had a lot of absolute tools at this club over the years, most of which had no talent. Im firmly of the belief that there wasn’t anything, any one individual could have done to save us (in fairness we had maddison pulling us along on his own for a year and a half and now showing how elite he is… still couldn’t save us, in what feels like was an inevitability)

Absolutely! We need the club to be like Brighton, in the sense that we are always forward planning and planning for life after Maresca. Being realistic, if he keeps going the way he is, there will be big opportunities available for him at some stage and we will need to be able to shake it off and keep moving forward. It feels to me like the clubs internal review just lead to a blame game that was aimed at the pitch (not having leaders) and a couple of coaches who have been around for too long. Outside of that, we haven’t really addressed anything else. One thing is for sure, we are very lucky we did land on Maresca, because who knows where this club would have ended up if we’d got someone like Martin in. but anyway, i feel for Leuven as we’ve had the exact same thing happen to us last season and I just hope that they can turn this ship around.

we all want to believe we’ve turned a corner but looking at what’s going on at leuven it’s clear that absolutely no lessons have been learned. A lucky bet on maresca is just a smokescreen hiding their incompetence. I’m not fooled. They basically flipped a coin between him and parker, that’s all you need to know really.

there’s absolutely no way kdh is going to fulham. We would have to be on very shakey ground and the club panic. They’d be looking at 30m as a minimum starting point.

Perhaps. But if he’s enjoying his football and just been ignored by clubs in the summer. Always the chance he’d take equal terms… as like you said, he’s on a good deal. Always felt he was a level headed guy so i wouldn’t rule it out

I think we was fine today. But one things for sure, he’ll be available next year. No chance chelsea will think he’s good enough if he’s not shining in a dominant championship team.

as many have proven, our prospects are succeeding despite our youth set up. Mcateer is a prime example of why to not judge anyone too harshly whilst petty is in charge

what’s more alarming is that we used to. We opened ourselves up but as soon as things started going wrong, rather than try to solve it… the club tried to hide it. It’s honestly pathetic.
