What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Lambert09 replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
Bought this yesterday and it’s amazing! A throwback to old gaming but with graphics. Something about it is really mesmerizing. I thought the combat having dodges was going to be repetitive and boring but its really well done and each new enemy throws you off with their movements. -
I do get your point and think others are misunderstanding what you’re trying to say. But, we needed to see him tested in the championship. charity minutes after we’ve already been confirmed down, with us half arsing it, would not be more beneficial than the real competitive minutes in a pressure scenario like that. The problem for alves is that he’s stuck around to get these potential chances before and we never seem to get him any pitch time. what we should do and what ruud will do, are very different things

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

Can I ask why? They play different rules, in conditions they will never play in. it’s just a nice holiday for them. Sporting wise, it’s a complete waste of time -

Looks like Southampton will have a solid crop of youth next season as well -
The rumour are Leeds, but that seems odd

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official
Lambert09 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Today at 15:43 #184 Said recently that I thought he's been really good but not absolutely amazing, but today he was colossal. Possibly the best Oxford United centre half showing I've seen for a good few years. If he turns in that calibre of performance on a regular basis moving forward, he's going to be worth a lot of money. Easy to see why we didn't send him back in January despite his injury. That goal alone was worth every penny he's cost us this season. Good luck, young man, and thank you. -
He’s not had much of an opportunity. He was positive in possession against brentford just shambolic at the back. He should get away with that in the championship

I think this the type of player we should be looking at. I think the club have shown us that the likelihood is we will go for a cast off that nobody in the top leagues will go near rather than an up and comer. we need to get this bit of business bang on and given that we let cannon go, at the bare minimum they have to be as good as him. Not too many obvious candidates as far as I’m aware, I don’t want to be broken record but Louie Barry is 10000% the player we should be targeting. I will die on this hill

Sounds like an improvement tbf

He’s been really quiet the second half of the season. Definitely not as confident on him as earlier in the season. Pretty sure a lot of his goals were pens as well
-
I’d rather have slimani than daka that’s not debatable, he was more wrong player at the wrong time. And he was never going to challenge vardy. For me it’s between musa and coady. Musa because it was the greatest opportunity for us to sign real talent and he looked like Danny nguessian. The coady deal however, just never makes sense. Had a clause for 2 mill at Everton that they didn’t want. Was completely unwanted and we paid actual cash for him and he’s literally done nothing. 4 mill in the championship is more than 8 mill in the prem for ayew and ayew at least got a couple of important goals. not sure coady has earnt us a single point

A family’s Nan was getting their head kicked in, they stood around clapping in appreciation of the effort everyone was putting in
-
I didn’t say ruud knows what he’s doing
-
Oh actually, often with loan deals you pay less the more they play. Perhaps this is a money saving exercise
-
Starting to think the club know man city will be relegated and we’re still trying to finish above Ipswich…. There’s no other logical reason to play someone on loan when you’ve been relegated
-
For him and us, the absolute best case scenario is he has 49%. He’s still a big part but no longer is making the big decisions
-
Peter Schmeichel was on talk sport talking about Vardy and made a comment that maybe there will be more announcements about 1 or 2 and “I’m not talking about playing or coaching staff”. Fingers and toes crossed Kasper has got wind of something
-
Exactly what I think of as well. Maybe the most defining of all of his goals
-
If you weren’t crying already, wait until you realise the only senior striker at the club is now patson daka
-
Do you know what would be cool. if 200 (or however many goals he ends up with) seats, were enscribed with a goal. So people would get to sit in a seat that has a tribute to vardy 💙 some of those seats people would never leave. the vardy section of the ground would be epic

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Lambert09 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thank you! It’s not a closed shop, we just made a terrible fist of it, as did others. If you spend the amount of money a club like Ipswich did, you should have a chance. You just need to get it right. I still believe without a looming PSR issue hanging over us, and with a competent DOF / recruitment team we would have had a good chance to survive. Our situation was not normal and I won’t be at all surprised if Leeds with the red bull backing make some big signings and compete well. last season the clubs were tiny and not really in a position to compete. This year you had 2 complete shambles and one club who were more focused on building something for their future rather than for now. All this crying about it not being possible is nonsense. The only real difference is that this year most of the clubs were run pretty well and the only real basket cases were spurs and Man United, who are lucky enough to have enough quality to stay out of real relegation trouble. -
On the flip side, if we want to grow the club again we need to take a risk of some kind. A safe pair of hands might seem logical but we won’t be able to grow to where we aspire to be. Be careful what you wish for because the alternative is almost certainly going to be Martin

He’s a possession focused manager but with an emphasis on creativity and attacking. or at least he is with the under 21s. I found that whilst he is focusing on possession he isn’t one to stop his players taking risks which is about the best balance you can hope for. Seems to have players focus on particular roles rather than rigid formation and that fluidity worked really well for the under 21s. I think the blueprint is perfect for a championship team who would be expected to dominate possession. It’s hard to say how he would fair in a relegation fight but one to worry about when you get there. he’s very highly rated by the football community, same sort of reputation as someone like McKenna before he went to Ipswich. Id be more excited for this than I was about Maresca so a high expectation from me. In fact, I think he is very much groomed for the next England manager, 4 or 5 good seasons with us then he replaces Tuchel… who says no.

Genuinely think Lee Carsley would be a fantastic appointment
