  1. Contract renewals as well. There had to be insane fees involved to get Gnoto to sign a new deal
  2. They were very lucky spurs were braindead enough to spend a fortune on gray. And we were braindead enough to spend a fortune on skipp so they could pay for that.
  3. Funny that the efl have no interest in what Leeds are spending
  4. I still like Liam Manning
  5. I felt like I made a mug of myself with how I described Enzo to Chelsea fans I know after the way they started. Even had a moment of thinking that maybe it was just our squad that was the issue but time has shown that the same old issues come out eventually. I’d be incredibly survived if he started the season unless they someone how win the club World Cup.
  6. It’s a shame this isn’t an opportunity to build on the last game. Any positive momentum will be sucked right back out.
  7. Any relegated club looks to make money where they can to cover the deficit but whatever happens, they will start with a stronger base than the one they came up with. I just think they target too good for the championship players, rather than good in the championship players. It doesn’t mean they are all good enough for the prem but should be easily good enough for promotion. Were in a worse position this time around and we desperately need to get the striker call correct
  8. Haha whooo? Jacob brown? Have a word man. clarke, szmodrics, Johnson, greaves, philogene… There’s not a single player luton signed that were even interesting top championship teams, with the exception of possibly Ryan Giles but by the time they dropped everyone knew he wasn’t any good. without a huge manager disruption, I stand by it. They can sit still, sell off delap and Hutchinson and still be well clear of the rest of the league.
  9. I actually really like the Belgium leagues format. it’s great that now these mid table sides are battling for the conference league. Definitely destroys the dead runners deciding relegations and titles
  10. I didn’t hear a single person with any football knowledge say that bookies didn’t even fancy them. There’s a huge difference in the type of signings the 2 went for. Ipswich essentially signed a championship all stars team. Next year will be easy for them
  11. They’ve done what we should have done really. Strengthened their future foundations. Thats exactly what Fulham built off of, a few yo-yo years but overall strengthening the squad until they were strong enough coming up to stay up. Exactly why wasting budget and squad space on Ayew and BDR was always absurd.
  12. Vicarrio is such an awful keeper.
  13. “Personally, I think he's top top drawer and is destined to have a long career at the top level. His biggest impact I think is his ability to carry to ball out and progress the play forward. We have decent defenders at this level in Brown, Moore & Helik however, when Nelson was out of the side I felt like we were so easy to defend against as the opposition knew the ball was either going to go long, sideways or short to one of the midfielders. I think he adds another dimension to our game and has allowed us to carry more of a threat and get up the pitch more. As others have mentioned he perhaps doesn't dominate forwards as much as he could/should, but I think that will come. Easy to forget he has only just turned 21 and has less than 50 first team games. I have heard whispers of the Chelsea interest and it doesn't surprise me. If I was advising him I'd say to sit tight and have a full season in the Championship with Leicester next season. After that I think he'd be more than ready to make the step up to the Premier League” “I see Nelson as a future England international. Needs to stay injury free and needs to play.”
  14. We got a few people involved who showed that they want to be here imo. Mavi, , Ricardo and skipp , actually looked like they were giving their all. That last 10 minutes is the best I’ve seen from us since the last time we played Brighton
  15. He’s a young lad with potential, you simply have to give him the minutes now. build up someone who might have a future with us rather than players who are definitely leaving or we’d want to leave.
  16. Again I’m not disagreeing, he’s been as bad as I’ve ever known… however you would have said the same about lampard before. I don’t think you can ever rule a person out based on one job and to do that we are all so aware of the awful state of our club… is perhaps a little unfair. Nobody was going to do a good job here this season and nothing will change my mind on that.
  17. Playing a complete devils advocate here, but he might actually be better suited to a more dominant team. He certainly did alright with psv and Man U did look bright. Could be one that simply needs a team who will consist of the better players for his ideas to work at all. I don’t for one minute believe he thinks the teams he’s been putting out recently are the best, I think he’s been protesting since Brentford, if not before that. Hes been utterly woeful if not the worst we’ve ever had. But who knows how he’d be in a better set up… he really should have taken the Coventry job tbh
  18. The problem with Russell is that he has a football philosophy that simply doesn’t work. It’s a system that relies on your players being twice as good as the opponents because they have to work twice as hard to create a chance, whilst simultaneously giving the opponents free chances to score. At least Enzo had a functioning system; even if it was boring
  19. What about 🎶When you’re smiling, the whole world smiles with youuuu…. Na na na na naaaa, na na na naaa, na na na nana Leicester! Mix um up for maximum results 😂
  20. Usually when a club sack a manager that got them promoted and get worse… the fans all wish they stuck with the guy who got them up. That’s far from the case with Martin
  21. Not sure winks and skipp compliment each other well. I think it’s one or the other in the lineup or you end up with too many players incapable of moving the ball forwards
  22. Proof that you could wave a diamond under rudkins nose and hed still push it aside to pick up some lego
  23. you know trump aims for 2 things, you either think he is a genius and worship him or you think he is unimaginably stupid. he’s neither… he’s just pure evil. What’s fairly evident is that this is all part of a scam to manipulate the markets for his gain and his funders. Don’t be fooled into thinking he’s just dumb he wants you to think that because then he doesn’t get held accountable for what is the biggest market manipulation of all time. Behind all the dumb… more often then not is a motive to manipulate and get reactions of some kind. Nobody is as dumb as he appears
  24. Agree. Being a fan has always been about how personally engaged you are rather than how much you attend and buy etc. Don’t see myself any less involved than most fans (up until this season) and I live on the other side of pond ive personally checked out this season. Even when we were in with a chance… something wasn’t resonating with me any more. I even find myself on this forum less. It used to be the first thing I open on my phone in the morning but I’m just so apathetic to it. also the first season ive decided not to watch games by choice rather than having other things to do. I used to arrange my work schedule around games, get up at 2 am when I was in Asia … just wouldn’t be an option to not watch. the last few ive had it on live score alerts and that’s as much as I can bring myself to follow along.
  25. If you need any evidence of how backwards our club operates. Most clubs go for a young ambitious manager at the start of the season and revert to a safe pair of hands when it’s not worked. We’ve done the opposite. We’ve let the safe pair of hands build the squad and then finished with the risky option. Another clear indication that there’s no clear vision or direction at the club. I guarantee wed be better off now if we’d started with ruud and swapped for cooper. Not because cooper was the saviour we needed but we just wouldn’t have corrupted the squad from the start and cooper was by nature a better fit to try and grind out results. What’s funny is, potentially if cooper came in second we might actually have considered sticking with him in the championship. When the club was full of confidence they didn’t need to be made to tighten everything up and when they had no confidence that’s exactly what they need… but ruud refuses to get them back to the basics We’re a lost soul.
