If Maresca goes from Chelsea, it will be him coming back. Some don’t like the football, however it’s largely successful and his recruitment was significantly better than Cooper.

That would seem a sensible approach. However, we tend not to do sensible. -
When you travel, leave passport in hotel or take with you?
Sly replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in General Chat
Photographed and then left in the safe. When I travelled a lot, I just kept it on me, as like others have said, it’s required in some countries. When I use to hop country to country, I was always being asked for the thing, I was once refused entry to Northern Cyprus, as I had a stamp from the south! -

PSR is finally starting to take hold and strangle the game. Reality is, the gap will widen even further within a few years.

He’s a very good goalkeeper but I think when he goes, it will be the £25m mark.
-
He’s under performing his xG again this season so far. https://understat.com/player/755 Whilst he has prolific in the past, he’s not the force he was. Incidentally, he’s also played more minutes already, that the entirety of 21/22 or 22/23 seasons according to those stats! Crazy. Daka is out performing his, albeit on minimal game time.
-
Still missed. If anything, as bad as Kermogants was, at least it was on target. Keeper dives (badly) the wrong way and it goes in.

I’m over 40 myself It must have some skill based match making on. I’ve just run a game on my daughters switch and killed 20 bots ..,, then got killed by a bat. Finished 7th
-
I’ve picked up a Victory Royale now. I’ve been dropping at Shinny Shafts to get the secret vault. I’ve only gone above 15 kills once in 20 matches as well! This season seems a lot more balanced. That is, until you find someone with a bat!

Ability wise we have players that can play at this level. It’s mentality and dare I say it motivation and guidance that we lack? Winks, Skipp, Ndidi, Thomas, Kristiansen, Okoli, Vestergaard, Mavididi, Vardy, Daka, Edouard, Buonanotte, Coady, Ricardo, Couibally, Soumare, Reid, Ayew ….. they’ve all played in top level divisions, be it France, England, Spain, Germany or Italy. We amassed 97 points last season. The issue we have is that a good proportion of those names, are older and are most likely still carrying the scars of getting relegated in 22/23. Some of them will have been the weakest link in the chain etc. however how many top flight games have this lot got between them before this season? However when you strip out an entire experienced coaching team, you are going to move backward, in the short term at least. Maresca and his team had an ethos and mentality that was able to motivate them to put in that extra effort, before you even got onto the pitch. Winning is so much more than just getting the lads to run around for 90 minutes, or train for a few hours per day. He will have had a coaching team, looking for those marginal gains that make minuscule differences, but mount up. Be it what studs you wear, the lighting around the changing room, the music at seagrave, the cleaning regime in the canteen, the food that is served, the weight of the kit etc. They’ll all make minor differences, however world class coaches understand this. Those small differences might only add 0.001% to a person in terms of how they think or behave more positively, however they all start to add up. Pep is renowned for it. That is before you even get into his ability tactically. At the moment, we are walking into the pitch, looking defeated before we start. If you don’t believe you can win, how on earth can you make major steps forward. The issue lies within the culture of the club. Cultures take years to build but can be broken in an instant. We are broken.

This will be our final home game of the season. It’s also most likely the final time that we will see Jamie Vardy play for us. Does he get a big send off? Or does this just play out as standard game? It’ll almost most likely be the last time Ward, Thomas and Iversen also get to play for us as well, however I’m not expecting many people to come and celebrate that send off.

I don’t think we will even get a statement of acknowledgment this time around. I don’t think we’ll spend a lot on a rebuild.

This is the correct way to protest, unfortunately Foxestalk is such a small fraction of the match day numbers that it’s like throwing a deckchair off the Titanic. Ironically, the Titanic was a sinking ship as well. -
He’s bot a captain in reality, let alone a head coach or manager. As some one out in another place, you don’t ask the Court Jester to become a King,
-
Vardy is part of the issue.

I agree. The correct answer is Paul Jewell,L or Terry Connor. De Boer had 5 games, and didn’t score in four of them. Siewert won 1 in 15. Connor won 0 in 13. 5. Paul Jewell (Derby County, 2007-08) – 5% win rate (1 win in 24 games) • Managed Derby during their infamous 11-point season, the worst in Premier League history. Worst by Points Per Game (Minimum 10 Games) 1. Terry Connor (Wolves, 2012) – 0.31 PPG 2. Paul Jewell (Derby, 2007-08) – 0.42 PPG 3. Jan Siewert (Huddersfield, 2019) – 0.47 PPG 4. Frank de Boer (Crystal Palace, 2017) – 0.60 PPG 5. Ralph Hasenhüttl (Southampton, 2022-23, last stint) – 0.64 PPG RVN currently has 0.58 points per game. So he belongs in this conversation. Cooper was 0.83 points per game for Contrast. -

Frank De Boer, Paul Jewell, Terry Connor and Jan Stewart say “Hi”. Albeit I think Ruud is also getting on this bus. -

This is the thing. We’ve gone from bad to worse this season. A more experienced head would be looking to grind out draws and keeping the points ticking along. We’ve not changed shape or tactics and we’ve basically reverted to a worse version of what Cooper was doing. We need an outlet that tries to get us up the pitch. Is Daka the answer, ideally not but play him as a two with Vardy as at least it offers a threat. -
I think the difference is, we were at least scoring under Cooper. Under RVN, we’ve stopped doing that.
-
Cooper wasn’t great. He had 12 Premier games. We did however pick up points in those games. Before people start about Cooper having a fitter squad. Ricardo played 2 games (Forest / Ipswich). Fatawu played 11 games. Albeit some of those were minimal minutes. Stolarkzyk was a steady stand in for Hermansen. The players are the problem, however RVN isn’t the person to get the best out of them.

Vardy is the best finisher. Unfortunately he can’t get away from people, so relies on getting the ball near him now. We press better with Daka. However wants the point in playing a higher press, when the other two forwards are about as mobile as a set of concrete bollards as well.
