I have a technical error, so I can’t watch anything on the red button. Great.

I do wonder if the Trump support comes from the fact he’s louder, in your face etc, so it’s over exaggerated by the media as he’s sound bite central.
-
Likewise, I could say similar about Starmer We can all acknowledge that none of them tick every box, for everyone. It’s one of the things people will always disagree on in life. What’s your opinion on today’s budget @Sampson?
-
Reading between the lines on this, if you run a business, you’ve been screwed? So they’ll either reclaim it by rising prices to maintain profit margins, or cutting costs, lowering headcount, or quality?

He most likely needed that chance to get his feet under the table without the pressure of sweeping up the mess of those before him. I still believe he was the best of the bunch and wasn’t a bad person. He might be a multi billionaire. However he is more relatable than Cabbage girl and Boris.

Welcome to Elon Musks Twitter, where it’s all free speech, lies and hyperbole. Basically it’s that bad now, it may as well be all classed as one of @Finnegan Tier 4 sources.

That game was the turning point for me. He had my full support until that defeat to Forest.

What do you miss from football as it used to be ?
Sly replied to Elsie Effcee's topic in General Football and Sport
The FA Cup being the final game in a season and an entire days BBC coverage being dedicated to it from 6AM. -
It’d be very British screwed and based on how the forum is more centre left, it would be a Harris landslide on here im assuming. The fact and all we see is that Trump is a loon.

So polling day is next Wednesday then. As you can tell, I’m really engaged and keeping up with this.
-
I’d imagine it will have more of an impact as you go further north, due to the difference in wages etc.
-
How much stuff is going to get more expensive now that the minimum wage has gone up then?

I found this an entertaining read last night on a Brightons perspective on him. Obviously it’s a snapshot of fans and wouldn’t be reflective, however similar to Pearson here, rightly (or wrongly) he isn’t universally loved. https://www.wearebrighton.com/newsopinion/69-9-percent-of-brighton-fans-do-not-want-graham-potter-back/#:~:text=And 69.9 percent of Seagulls, happy with Potter being reappointed.
-
Yes, we were capitulating though, with Danny Ward in goals.
-
In fairness, you could argue that he’s the Pearson of Brighton. However, I’m just not blown away (personally).
-
I don’t rate Potter that highly. You’ve only got to look at the improvement in Brighton since he left to see that the tools were in place.
-
Agreed. No one player is bigger than the team. I’d say his downfall this year has been moving away from that if anything.

If you look at the stats as well, we’re in the top three for blocks, saves, tackles, clearances and headed clearances. That defence has been battered and stood up better than maybe we give them credit for. You can’t be top of all of those matrix and expect to keep goals out. We’ve got the fewest shots on target in 9 games, only 26. We are averaging less than 3 shots on target per game. We’ve got the 2nd lowest number of shots taken. The least amount of corners taken. We are currently out scoring out xG but that’s Vardy all over isn’t it? Without him we’d be in worse shape than we are now. Can you imagine if we’d gone into this season with Vardy retired, Daka injured and we’d kept Iheanacho or had decided to play Eduardo!? We’ve got some good players in this squad. Vardy isn’t going to generate enough magic to keep us up, so Cooper or whoever needs to work out how we shoot more and get us in more offensive positions further up the pitch. As if the ball spends less time being around our defence; we’ll concede less.

I think it’s our press that does it, or lack of. We leave huge gaps all over the place. Now, the major question is that tactical or fitness.
-
RVN will want to put out a statement performance as I don’t think it was a coincidence he was added to the back room staff. He wasn’t a Ten Haag addition, so if this is the interview, I can see us getting absolutely roasted.
-
I still think the board will keep Cooper in whilst we are averaging above a point a game. We have all seen that snails move quicker than they act. If he goes, it’ll largely depend on when that is. Pre January and out of the relegation zone, you have a better chance of appointing someone that isn’t going to be a fire fighter. I think we’ll also only go with someone that has experience of the Premier League as well. So that narrows our search down massively and excludes the likes of Conceicao, Favre, Rutten, Fischer, Mazzarri, Schmidt, Van Bommel, Kucher, Hjulmand, Jardim, Garcia, Sampolli and Terzic. I don’t think half of them would come here by the way either. I also don’t think they’d consider Cocu, as whilst he managed Derby, it wasn’t in the Premier League. I also think De Boer won’t ever get another gig in the EPL after his disaster at Palace. Southgate, Zidane, Xavi, Ten Haag, Allegri etc would laugh if we approached them as they’d want a higher profile role. —————————— So that leaves you with the following we’d maybe consider and it’s not exactly attractive viewing. Lampard - Did well at Derby and his first spell at Chelsea. Disaster at Everton and 2nd spell at Chelsea. Potter - His points per game is actually distinctly average and worse than Cooper. His teams struggle to score goals plus how many times have we done this dance with him. Moyes - Pragmatic and gets the job done type coach. Loved at Everton, Preston. Harshly cut at Manchester United maybe. Disaster at Sunderland but got West Ham playing. He’s realistically who I think we’d turn to first. Sarri - Only Premier League experience with the Premier League is Chelsea. Not convinced he’d entertain us, most Chelsea fans hated Sarri-ball, however it’s pragmatic and effective. He’d challenge the board and it would all end up a bit of a mess long term so thinks Sanchez Flores - Journeyman Manager who’s had two spells with the basket case that is Watford amongst a gazzilion other clubs. Klinsmann - spent more time as an international coach than a club coach. Did okay at Bayern (who doesn’t). The brief spell at Berlin left a lot to be desired. Benetiz - Journey manager at this stage, however strip the Everton debacle from his British CV and he’s done fairly well. The disaster at Celts Vigo can’t be ignored either that was after that. Allardyce - Says he’s retired but depending on when we pull the trigger (if we actually do) on Cooper, you could see us throwing money at Sam To try and keep us up.

He passed away 11 months ago.

He was massively under rated by our fans. He played in a team that finished 5th twice and won the FA Cup, doing the dirty work, which allowed others to thrive. If he’d been a bit more clinical in front of goal, he wouldn’t have got half the hate he did. I still find it annoying we didn’t keep him the season we got relegated as he was a far better option than others who saw us collapse in on ourselves. No coincidence he’s thrived in Spain.

I feel the same as you. However I appreciate people and cultures grieve in different ways. Vichai was influential not just to Leicester, however the surrounding community, people in Thailand, horse racing, the business world etc. the list is endless. It is sadly, a massive landmark in our history that whilst King Power own us, they will treat the club as a memorial to Vichai. I can’t believe it’s been 6 years.

I’d like to see some “shift key” action to be honest.
