It comes back to my original point I made before pre season even started. Spending large sums of money doesn’t equal success. If we sign Allison, De Bruyne, Messi, Ronaldo into our academy as 17 year olds, we aren’t paying that. Football is sort of changing l, largely due to PSR I believe, so transfer fees will come back down. Something is worth what someone is willing to pay. However one man’s junk, is another man’s gold. You could spent £200m on me, it doesn’t offer value for money though. Although I’d likely score more than 25 goals over 250 appearances (I’m looking at you Ayew).

I’d sell him in a heartbeat, as he’s not good enough. In fact, I’d consider the reduced offer from Bologna if it covered whatever we own on the bloke. What a terrible January Window that was!

Rodgers actually did a lot right, especially in the first two seasons. The last 18 months were toxic though as the club capitulated. I guess we’ll get more of that when the likes of Vardy retire etc and we hear more about it.

I know this is pre season and it’s easy to over analyse stuff, however ….. We are a worse team technically than last season. We look worse tactically. We will do well to surpass Derbys record points low, after our points deduction if we play like that.

If we co time to play like this, Cooper will be gone by Christmas. Tactically we are worse than last season.
