I’ve just finished. I actually think you’ve summed up how the majority of the more knowledgeable fan base feels. We do need a forward, a winger and two centre midfielders in my opinion. Realistically the squad is thin across the board on quality.

I know I asked this a while ago, however I was just listening to the @BSLBPod and wondered if anyone’s expectations had changed?

We.’ll have made countless other enquires for players like Nelson that haven’t been released to The media.

Andy Murray retires:

Average at best. Returned from a holiday, flight was 5 hours delayed. Got in the car at 02:00 knackered, then burst a run flat tyre with 140 miles to drive. Got recovered after 2 hours, taken to a shady 24 hour type replacement depot in London, that wanted cash only. Cheers AA. Finally got home at 07:00 this morning and basically slept until dinner. Since then I’ve been catching up on all the dodgy news I’ve missed in the past two weeks.

He’s a legend of this club. He’s a legend for so many footballers as well, as he’s had an impact on such a positive impact on so many people’s lives. RIP SHAKEY. So sad.

So long and short of it is: He’s Welsh - Born in Wales. His heritage is Rwandan. Rwanda is largely Christian from a religious standpoint. Folk are smashing stuff up and rioting as they want to pin this on immigrants. People are upset that his name doesn’t sound Welsh. They want to smash up Mosques, as that’s a convenient excuse to be a racist. We’ve not yet seen anything about smashing up the local Church. Some are blaming labour. Some are blaming the Tories. Some Americans are blaming the lack of guns in the country, as he clearly wouldn’t have done a shed load more damage with an AK47, rather than a knife. Starmer has setup a task force to stop people rioting. We don’t yet have a motive for why he targeted a Taylor Swift dance class. Zombie knifes are readily available for some unknown reason, as we all know we need to purchase one for the impending zombie apocalypse (I’d not seen these until today). Drill music is rather aggressive apparently. I got really confused when people were saying Grime was the root cause of this and couldn’t remember Stormzy being that aggressive. I’m not yet sure what Drill is. It would appear from social media that the use of machetes is becoming more frequent. When you think about it, why do knifes have pointy ends? We need some quick and decisive punishments for carrying knifes, aggressive rioting, racism and domestic violence. Can I suggest we build an Alcatraz style prison in the North Sea and just house all the nutters there? Bottom line, is that nationality, race, skin colour, religion, heritage, hair colour, gender etc don’t make someone a killer. We need a motive to better understand what has driven this horrific event.

https://www.footballfancast.com/leicester-city-keen-on-mandela-keita-as-the-next-youri-tielemans/ Leicester keen on “exceptional” £8m-rated gem who'd be Tielemans 2.0 It must feel an awful long time ago for Leicester City fans when they now consider their side's unbelievable past exploits, with the East Midlands underdogs lifting the FA Cup and Premier League aloft in quick succession in what proved to be a golden period to be a Foxes fan. Now, supporters packed into the King Power Stadium this campaign to come will just hope they can stay afloat in the top flight, away from their previous grand achievements, with Steve Cooper now at the helm tasked with ensuring relegation doesn't happen. Leicester could look to turn back the clock to their unbelievable day out to Wembley in the FA Cup final, however, with this potential signing in through the door, who might well end up being the newly promoted club's next Youri Tielemans in the making. According to a report by Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, as relayed by Sport Witness, Leicester hold 'concrete interest' in Royal Antwerp gem Mandela Keita this summer, as the midfield ranks look to be bolstered by Cooper. Both Rennes and Fiorentina are also noted as being further interested parties going after the 22-year-old star, who even has a senior cap for the Belgium national team next to his name now, after an impressive individual campaign for his current employers. It could take a bid of around £8m - as per his current estimated market value, according to Football Transfers - for a move to take place though, with Leicester having to splash the cash to land their desired target. Why Keita can be Tielemans 2.0 Tielemans was once also a promising talent plying his trade in the Jupiler Pro League before Leicester swooped in, resulting in the now Aston Villa man becoming a key first-team performer for the Foxes, with his long-range strike against Chelsea back in 2021 enabling Leicester to upset the odds and lift the FA Cup. Keita isn't quite as forceful when it comes to helping out in attack, but he could go on to become an established member of Cooper's first team all the same in England, much like the former Anderlecht man managed under previous managers at the King Power. Keita's tenacity and energy from the middle of the park has been an effective calling card for Antwerp to utilise, however, with the goal above all the in-demand Belgian's own work, before allowing his fortunate teammate to simply tap home. The 22-year-old would only pick up two goal contributions all of last season away from this clip, but his battling nature will be of use to Leicester all the same, and Keita could even end up striking up an effective midfield duo with Wilfried Ndidi if a deal is clinched. Keita's league numbers for Antwerp (23/24) Stat - per 90 mins* Keita Games played 29 Goals scored 0 Assists 2 Touches* 64.4 Big chances created 2 Accurate passes* 44.2 (90%) Tackles* 2.5 Interceptions* 1.6 Total duels won* 5.9 Stats by Sofascore Whilst Ndidi would look to get on the scoresheet, Keita would be more than content with being a disruptive presence in a more holding role, as can be seen glancing at the table above, with an unbelievable 5.9 total duels won on average last season playing in his native country. But, his assuredness on the ball - away from trying to break up play - could also see him perform much like Tielemans operated when still pulling on a Foxes strip, with the Villa midfielder bowing out from the King Power with an 82% pass accuracy per Premier League contest during the 2022-23 season. Labelled as being an "exceptional" talent by U23 football scout Antonio Mango after he won his first cap for his nation, Keita looks to be nearing a major move soon, and could really progress his game like Tielemans managed if purchased by Leicester.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Sly replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think our target is to get to 55 points from 38 games, so we need to average 1.45 points over the season. Any deduction even at its worst quoted amount still leaves us over that 40 point threshold which typically sees you out of the bottom three. That is a major ask but to be honest, I don’t think it’s that unrealistic. We need to maintain the form of a mid table side. -
Chelsea seem to have picked up a decent goalkeeper in Mike Penders. He looks like the sort of Gk that is comfortable with the ball at his feet and is capable of making a save.

https://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=184213 The palace fans seem to appreciate him.

I think this is more that the numbers don’t stack up, so it’s getting axed until it does. I’ve no doubt this will get used, however to what extent is debatable. It is unfortunate, as the value is intangible in my opinion, as it benefits a more long term reduction in road traffic.

In fairness, I don’t rate Cannon at all, however the stats will be skewed due to the small sample and the games he played on the wing. He’s good at finishing, however he’ll never get into the positions without playing in a two in my opinion. We need a False 9 / Link up striker.

My understanding in reality is similar to this. Then it’s then potentially settled with the annual contract bonus etc
-
I’ll forgive them if they bring Kante home for the season and he keeps us in this bloody league after the crazy points deduction.

He’s ex Mercury and was a lot more credible. He’s been the podcast with the BSLB and he’s now with the Mail. Funny story, when the story broken of the Pearson sacking / then re-instalment, we’d just finished a six a side league game and he basically left in a hurry to get the info! I’m not sure if you remember that @TheSharpeEnd?

It will be longer than that I’d imagine. Society will always quash people they perceive as radical, so I’d no doubt certain voices are never heard. I’m not a religious person. If you think about the butterfly effect of us having this conversation 1,500 to 2,000 years ago, we’d have most likely have been burned at the stake for discussing witchcraft craft.
