    Yes, it was.
  2. War is horrific and brutal. My first thought was they’re cutting off the supply lines, basically putting them under siege.
  3. For all we know, it could have been a free transfer with them covering wages just for them to get rid of him. It’s basically what we did with Perez last season isn’t it?

Just get King Power / OHL to pay him and not Leicester. All gravy then.
  5. I think the answer is he’s looked at Manchester City and how the other acted for the Super League debacle and assumed he can.
  6. I suppose it comes down to a few things. 1) Do we think King Power will pull out and stop putting money in? They say they’re committed, so will keep us aloft. They’ve cleared debts previously. 2) Do you actually trust what they say? This is up for interpretation and we will all have a different opinion on this. 3) Would anyone buy us in our current state? If it was a normal business, then you’d run a mile. However it’s a football club and they tend to be a Billionaires play ground. Albeit the FFP rules are stifling that.
  7. They add drama to the situation and keep the season alive for so many clubs. They are a real lottery. If you look at all of the winners of the Championship version since in its current format since 1989, the promoted team has finished: 3rd - 13 times - 40% 4th - 8 times - 24% 5th - 8 times - 24% 6th - 4 times - 12% Our own history is painful really, those early years were my first ever trips to Wembley. 1992 - We finished 4th, lost to Blackburn in the final, who finished 6th. 1993 - We finished 6th, lost to Swindon in the final, who finished 5th. 1994 - We finished 4th, we beat Derby who finished 6th. 1996 - We finished 5th, we beat Crystal Palace who finished 4th. 2010 - We finished 5th and lost to Cardiff in the semis. 2013 - We finished 6th and lost to Watford in the semis. You know what’s coming if you don’t make the top two.
  8. This is why I see no point in joining. The trust could have a 30,000 members. As long as the stadium is full, merchandise if being purchased and we don’t have an in stadium atmosphere similar to East End Derby, then nothing will chance.

He’s raw but I’d like to think has more upside than those we have.
  10. The Midlands Super League will be born… Us, Forest, Derby, Villa, Coventry, WBA, Birmingham, Walsall, Stoke, Wolves, Notts County, Peterborough, Burton, Grimsby, Lincoln, Mansfield, Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Sutton. All streamed on Netflix / Prime Winner gets a bus tour around the capital, where bemused bystanders wonder what’s occurring.
  11. Different rules I believe.
  12. I’m not sure idea adjust that to account for a 13 month accounting period to be honest. As a side note, if Southampton or Leeds don’t get promoted, I’d imagine they’ll be in a similar position to ourselves this time next season. Any team who have had more than a season in the Premier League and spent massively, will be hurting.
  13. Interesting read - wages and Amortisation are the painful bits.
  14. To my knowledge, doesn’t infrastructure etc whilst impacting the clubs finances, not count toward PCR? I know wages is the major issue here, however some of this can be written off, so the actual PCR result will be smaller?
  15. The challenge you will she. Is that of the 30,000 odd thousand match do attendees you’ll most likely have 1000 members after tonight. If those 3% didn’t attend matches and buy merchandise, the club could in theory say we’re not allowing you to renew your season ticket next year. They’d sell them straight away as we have a waiting list. I get your point on growing members, however I just don’t think you’ll engage with enough people to generate the earthquake / tidal wave you need to make them engage with you in a constructive manor to initiate significant change. That’s just my opinion obviously and I fully understand why people feel they need to join.
  16. This is why I wonder if the legal challenge that is being confidential, is restriction on trade. If King Power want to throw money at it, let them is my opinion.
  17. Exactly, how many people would It take for them to listen though? In what situation would they listen? Im not sure as a fan base, we have enough like minded people to push for change. I’d be prepared to contribute more than a joining fee, if I genuinely thought it would make a difference. At this moment in time, I don’t think it will.
  18. It’s situations though. If the club need to listen to us as fans, as attendances and income is dwindling, then they’ll acknowledge the fans and listen to them. Whilst people are paying for seats, buying merchandise and buying shirts for £69 each or whatever they are, they’re winning. I’d consider joining, when I consider it worthwhile. At the moment, I see no benefit in joining, as King Power don’t appear to want to communicate or be transparent with how they are operating.
  19. I get that, however you are going to need membership in the 1000s and as bunch of supporters, to be honest, we aren’t like a Liverpool, Leeds, West Ham etc, we’re largely a delightful set of customers, who are a happy go lucky bunch on match day, that are all rather easy to deal with. We aren’t going to convince the masses to march on the stadium with flares, shouty, sweaty songs and pitchforks any time soon, as we disagree with Hamza Choudhury is on a massively inflated wage, or we’ve sort of defied the rules and threatened legal Action (not that I condone this as the way forward by the way).
  20. Yes, in a nutshell we are. The EFL will want ti make an example of us, like the EPL tried with Man City. That’s still dragging on.
  21. I sort of feel like this. It’s a bit like 40 people setting up a meeting with the company I work for. We’d take their views on board but would we do anything based on such a small sample size, not really.
  22. Also King Power have done some great things on the flip side to my previous reply. Like Others have said, we’ve completed English football now. We’ve had our most successful period ever on the field. We own the stadium and have one of the best training facilities in the world. You can’t appreciate the highs we’ve had, unless you’ve experienced the lows. Always remember how special it felt to win the league, FA Cup and Charity Shield. With us hitting harder times, you don’t appreciate what it is. King Power have given us that. It’s just been a bit turbulent and would make a great TV series!
  23. Only time will tell in this, however I get the feeling we’re watching a storm brew to be honest. If you were to asses the years that King Power have been in charge, they’ve had some shockers in terms of decision making at times. We proved that money doesn’t equate to good building a great team. We captured lighting in a bottle in 15/16 and I wouldn’t say that was through King Powers doing if I’m honest. If anything, you could argue that we didn’t capitalise our position and build upon that momentum. I’m not the person that worships the ground that Nigel Pearson and his team walks on, however I can see that they did a great job in sorting out the absolute mess that was generated by Sousa and Erikson when returning. Then also rebuilding the club to a position that it was allowed to be moved forward by a more competently tactical management team. Puel as well, for all the turgid football we played under him, largely sorted the mess left behind by The post Pearson years. We need a competent Director of Football that keeps all of this under control, maybe Puel was the answer to this. Then a good tactical head coach to utilise the players at his disposal to compete. We’ve made some really odd calls at times in relation to how we’ve handled situations, The appointment of Sousa, and him only watching us lose in the playoffs at Cardiff. The non sacking and re-hiring of Pearson. The handling of the Thai incident The Inability to use a fax machine correctly to register the Silva signing, Watching us collapse under Rodgers and doing nothing about it. Why we left him persist with Danny Ward in nets and Danny Amartey in defence, when half the world could see they were struggling was criminal. Getting shot of Rodgers and having no plan B. Top having a pop at the fans. Signing players that we either don’t need, or didn’t fit our culture or footballing philosophy. Massively overpaying in terms of salary in terms of ability. Also massively overpaying for initial transfer fees with no possible sell on. Slimani at £30m was not a great capture at 27 years old. Not cashing in, then allowing people to leave on free transfers. Soyuncu and Tielemans were worth over £50m each at one point and they left for free. It will happen again this season with Ndidi, Praet, Iheanacho and Vestergaard. As good as we’ve been on selling people like Maguire, Fofana, Drinkwater, Mahrez etc, we’ve had some shockers when you consider the ability of Kante, Maddison and Barnes. Poor commercial growth off the field. A minimal sponsorship deal with King Power for the stadium among rights isn’t the answer to growing us. Selling boxes cheap so they’re gone isn’t the answer. The complete lack of communication from King Power to the supporters. We collapsed twice from strong positions and it’s happening again, it’s happening again. We have also been relegated with a wage bill that is only £30m per year less than Arsenals. A team that resides in London. That in itself is crazy, even before you adjust it for regional differences. Outside of Leicester, they’ve had the dodgy tax dealings in Thailand and links to the Thai government / royal family, whichever ways it’s floating. Also the constant murmurs of monopolisation of duty free. We’ve had a great decade and a great rollercoaster ride, however we are coming off the tracks I feel and to a degree, the signs have been available for all of us to see. Maybe we’ve just been ostriches? Like I started with, time will tell.
  24. We could be owned and bank rolled by a joint venture between Elon Musk, Jeffrey Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. They can’t pour anymore money in to offset the losses under PSR rules. The rules don’t allow us to compete with the elite, so we are going to be put back into our box and the big six will pay us on the head. Rightly or wrongly, we’ve decided to chase the dream despite our off-field limitations and it hasn’t worked. Either that or we’ve thought we’ll just blindly ignore them, then challenge them legally as restriction of trade etc’
