  1. I just don't see it. They may have played at a higher level but they either haven't done well at a higher level or they're now passed their best. I agree there could be a manager who could get more out of them, but leaving aside Fatawu, Winks and JJ, this is mainly a squad of mid championship quality players who should be delighted to get a point away at Wrexham
  2. The attitude they showed yesterday in general was appalling. Wrexham were taking ages to take a throw towards the end when it was 1-0 and there wasn't a single one of our players in the ref's ear asking him to speed it up. Believe or not, I still think there's some in that dressing room who are arrogant enough to think they should be playing at a higher level and that's why they won't celebrate a last minute scrawny equaliser against Wrexham. JJ made some comments after a game earlier in the season where he said the players we've got are way better than the position we're in. It's actually the opposite- all the data says we've got far more points than we should have.
  3. Fair enough, Thomas is up there. But it's more justified for him, even though I don't really like the abuse he gets because it's not his fault he just isn't very good and we gave him a 4 year deal. Ayew was bad last night but at least he gets himself involved in the game, even if it's not in a good way. BDCR, Mavididi, Fatawu were all just completely anonymous in that second half. And I won't be sad to see the back of him either, but if our scouting network identified Carranza as a good signing then be careful what you wish for
  4. We always seem to have public enemy number 1 and it's now moved from Faes to Ayew. He doesn't help himself with his antics, but he's far from the biggest problem in this team. He can't play as a lone striker because he hasn't got the pace and isn't good at holding the ball up. He works better playing behind a striker, but when that striker is Daka, what hope have you got
  5. Didn't think anything could be as depressing as the football last night but this tops it. These people have always been there, it's just now they feel emboldened to spew their hatred. Takes some balls to call it out though so well done for doing it
  6. Really? I thought his attitude tonight was shocking. He should be a leader out there and he was strolling around like it was a training game
  7. Score a last minute equaliser and no celebration from anyone. No team spirit at all in this squad. Vestegaard has been walking around the pitch like he couldn't give a shit all night
  8. Commentators working hard to create any jeopardy in this one
  9. He suffers from the shite that's around him. Teams double and triple up on him and make him ineffective because he's our only threat. Having said that, he makes some brain dead decisions sometimes
  10. Don't think I've ever enjoyed a winning goal less than that. Just shook my head when it went in. There's so much wrong with this team it's hard to know where to begin. 3 more points towards safety is the only positive
  11. If the board gave him the aim of at least reaching the play offs, as delusional as that aim now seems, the only reason he isn't gone is because King Power can't afford to get rid
  12. I agree. But he tries to make up for his limitations by making really stupid decisions. It's not his fault he keeps getting picked and was given a 4 year contract extension
  13. Feel sorry for Luke. He's way out of his depth and shouldn't be being played. Teams have targeted that side all year
  14. Fair enough. But I don't think we can write off the idea of him playing striker after that half either
  15. Not fair to judge him after that half
  16. We do need divine intervention
  17. I agree it seems like that and has done all season. But he's not telling the team to go out and get dominated. He's been given a tough hand with these players and everything else going on at the club. But he knew what he was walking into and it just isn't working for him. That first half should make it clear to those making the decisions at the club that a change is needed
  18. I know the players are poor, but you're seeing the difference between a team who have completely bought into what their manager wants them to do and another that either can't get his message across or the players aren't having him
  19. Long assumed striker was our priority in January but must get a left back first. I've no doubt Luke tries harder than most in this squad but he's just not good enough
  20. Will only really start believing in Marti when a win comes with a good performance. We rely on individual moments and that will never be enough to sustain a good run of results. On the plus side, the youngsters came on and injected some energy into the team
  21. All those times Abdul ballooned it over the bar from 20 yards, he was just practicing for this
  22. We have zero control over games. Too many players who either aren't good enough or have no football IQ
  23. A midfield of Skipp, BDCR and Ayew is interesting when you're clinging on for dear life
  24. Agreed. I used to think a striker was the most important signing in Jan but I would prioritise new full backs, especially left back
  25. He's avoided most of the criticism because everyone hates Faes so much, but he's a big problem in the side. Forces the defence to play so deep because of how slow he is and creates massive spaces between the lines
