This report kinda suggests heās not Billy big bolloxs whilst also highlighting what my post suggested in that Plymouth is a basket case of a job, smallest squad, budget and crippled with injuries to his best players. I think any manager would struggle to keep them in the championship tbh & again as my post alluded to he fell foul of trying to get a progressive tune out of a limited club. I stick by why do people have to hate just because heās a name. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c24ny6m2741o -
Carry On..Follow that Camel on ITV3 currently and Iām sure Carry on Doctor was on earlier

Why the glee in seeing Rooney sacked, why do we mock the likes of him, Gerrard, Lampard, Rosenior etc just because in our heads we see elite players daring to go into management thinking they will be a success just because of their nameā¦I bet they donāt think it. Taking Rooney, Plymouth are a basket case of a club other than a good season 22/23 getting promotion to the championship they will struggle with relegation (in the main) in what ever league they have been in & were a Lge 2 side as recent as the 19/20 season. The thing with those names is they almost need to go to attractive clubs, but again how dare they think they can manage an established club or they have only got the gig because of their name. But footballs changed as has fanās expectations of what they want from their Saturday afternoon, they want to be entertained & these names fall foul of this in trying to set up their teams to play whereby the old regurgitated names will play a low block hoof ball and think well it doesnāt matter itās Plymouth what do people expect. These guys are 4yrs into management cutting their teeth, learning about themselves and the job as they go but on the outside with a haa you have bounced from job to job failing with shitty little clubs just give up. No wonder this article came out the other day about English managers with ex-LCFCās Micheal Appleton, because we hound them out before they can actually grow. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ckgxyp2z8jeo -
Iād say RVN hasnāt been here long enough to put any player in the category. Bilal hasnāt become what we saw against Man C ābecauseā of RVN he always had that in him heās just getting games and more settled within the environment. Surely to go in this category your taking an academy lad from no where breaking into the 1st team or more likely someone who was playing dog-toffee and suddenly becoming 1 of the 1st names on the sheet, so could maybe put Soumare in there but that could also be down to last seasons loan, being a year older and him finally waking up. Not sure I have seen any massive individual changes in only 6 games but yes to an improvement to the overall team structure though.

I really canāt see how they have reached a 2 game ban or even if it was 3 and reduced to 2 what mitigating circumstances can he come up with to say why he elbowed a guy in the back of the head when Bentancur gets a 7 game ban for saying what he said & punished within the same week as typing it? Bentancurās charge carried a 6 to 12 game ban but for assault (weak as it was a street charge of assault) gets you 2 games whatās the bracket 1 to 3 what a joke. There would also be knock-on effects to his actions both on the field with players/staff and off between opposing fans seeing that but again seems to have been overlooked, I thought they wanted hooliganism out of football as much as racism š¤·āāļø I donāt even care about the player or club itās the principle and now as stated above they have set the bench mark the fools.
-
Iād imagine heāll start or at least get a good chunk of minutes v QPR but with Ayew back for Villa Iām not sure heāll make the bench sadly.
-
Not that I can find it but didnāt MotD also show a possession stat that we were the 3rd highest club, behind Liverpool and Chelsea, to have more possession against Man C in a premier league game or something along those lines?

I have this rare ability not found in most football fans to not let things Iām unable to control or benefit from like results or day to day running of a company I donāt own affect me. Now reading a lot of threads I see a lot of our fans are stating āwe are no longer a community clubā & āI donāt recognise our / my club anymoreā so all Iām saying is when you think like that despite most people āinā football or people who have worked for the owners all say āitās very rare to see owners like Top & family within football (in the + not - view) that have the heart in communityā Iād be wary of how much of our club youād think youāll be getting back with a faceless conglomerate. This is not to say he doesnāt need to shake the top of tree mind but not sure Iād be calling for his head personally.

Iām reading the latest cost cutting project of Jim Ratcliffe is to cut the Man U charitable foundation, what a guy! He was seen as the white knight to come in and save them and get the club back at the top of the tree, yet all he has done is rip the soul out of one of the biggest clubs in world football. Whilst we have our own āKing power outā thread I bet the ex-employers, local businesses and their fan base just might be regretting what they wished for. The other thing that struck me was the fact the multi millionaire dollar business that is Manchester United only gave a little shy of Ā£1m per year to the foundation, firstly cheap barstewards and secondly even worse on the penny pinching if a club like Man U can spend Ā£300k a week on wages but will hit their charity arm to claw back pennies, how much does KP put into local charities and the hospitals per year on a fraction of the budget? Iām not going to say be careful what you wish for but which part of the world do we want our faceless conglomerate new owner to come from, US, China or the Middle East? Yes it might stop the free beer and mince pie everyone takes the p out of butā¦ā¦

I think being in our own half the safety came into his experienced head. We would have had to go a long way to get a try although we potential only needed to get into their half and try and force a penalty with Pollard on the pitch..but if we coughed it up or were penalised ourselves from the position we were in they might have scored themselves, so think it was just simply down to our position on the pitch.

Mentioned In the Liverpool match thread that Iām glad heās ours and Facundo is the loan player š
-
Do we still think we should have gone gung-ho to gain a point v Liverpool š

A decent basketball game & a draw probably fair result, although not sure if the TMO looked at the angle the tv showed for Quinnās 4th. They even had a nice white line to guide them, if player behind white line when he throws the ball & the ball goes over that white line in to the hands of on rushing Morley then itās forward no? but sadly missed.

Not sure anyone is happy with losing a game but sometimes you need to concede to realism. Ruud conceded knowing we didnāt have anything that could unlock Liverpool in those moments without opening ourselves to a hammering, thatās why Winks and Bilal came off to save injury and be able to start tomorrow. Itās a fine line between bravery and stupidity, in that moment it was better to lose by 2 goals than lose by 4+ considering where we are in the table & for all the āpoint is better than GD at the end of the seasonā posters itās not if that additional pt only puts you level with the club in 17th who have a better GD, swings & all that. We had conceded 7 goals in 2 games, A point gained at Liverpool probably wonāt have much bearing in our fight but a 4-6 goal stuffing could well do, especially as we host Man C next who at some point are going to recover and put 4 or 5 past someone. The potential of conceding 14-15 goals over 4 games would be catastrophic for GD & more importantly team confidence. This is what I canāt understand about football fans v rugby fans who can accept that their team was beaten by the better team on the day. I watched the Liverpool game, knowing full well the probability of a loss, only to watch the performance as I wanted to see a defensive fight and in the main I saw that & now against the inform team in Europe they have set the standard which yes now Iāll be mighty peevād if they donāt continue with.
-
Again the stats suggest we did better than Ipswich against Arsenal. Had it not been for a 94 minute OG and a 99min tap in then we walk away with a point, there was no way Ipswich were getting a point tonight
-
For those saying Ipswich playing better than we did v Liverpool with them showing fight and giving it a go, well the stats suggest otherwise, please take the poor me glasses off
-
Really? This was being billed as a 6+ hammering prior to KO, the best team in Europe playing the team that have conceded the most goals in the premier league. This was all about the defending and losing by 2 goals and not 6+ will give a huge amount of confidence to the players regardless of losing the game. The āresetā comes from back to front, no point scoring 3 only to concede 4, of course they will be disappointed but come Sunday will be feeling a little taller than if they had been hammered 6+ for sure

Doesnāt the term āa free hitā come from fans and pundits with regards to on paper āxā team shouldnāt beat āyā team and losing this game in December wonāt be the reason āxā team are relegated in May & not from the mouths of a/the professional athlete(s) themselves & certainly not before KO. As you, a fan, state you never expected us to win you are therefore saying this was a free hit, if we lose no real drama because of the above but if we get a point then great, no š¤·āāļø

Commentator was gagging for that

Iām glad Bilal is ours and Facundo the loan player out of the 2
