  1. Ooh I hear you and he’s certainly not the solution but right here right now is he better at it than Facundo if so we can see why RVN is sticking to it but if not ffs RVN have a word. FWIW Im in the change formation camp 3 / 5 at back with Bilal & Facundo as dual 8s infront of Ndidi/Soumare & behind Vardy so don’t get me wrong im no Ayew fan just interested to see if there has been slightly better protection coinciding with the change from down the right.
  2. Can the stats poster provide some detail with regards to how many goals have been conceded directly from the void left behind at RB when Facundo has played RW v when Ayew has started there. It would seem since Ayew started there I haven’t seen that many post match posts about bloody JJ this & JJ that. Im no fan of Ayew and just trying to understand if it’s this 1 metric that RVN sees to put him ahead of FB, if that’s the case then should we really be knocking him? Obviously if it’s not then what the hell’s he doing but it does seem that there isn’t that much being written about JJ like it was & the eye test suggests most of the goals recently have come from straight down the centre hence maybe why the CM/DM & CBs keep changing week on week 🤷‍♂️
  3. Well you kinda are with the “sticking up for home town fans” no? Jones is a wind up merchant himself, either accept its going to happen or don’t do it yourself, maybe if he showed a bit more fight during the game he could have been goading the Everton supporters instead 🤷‍♂️
  4. So your saying fans can give it but shouldn’t have to take it, poor lambs.
  5. Curtis Jones is a d1ck
  6. Unless it’s smashed at him I can’t see the Exeter keeper reaching any of these penalties
  7. Long night for Forest, 10 min extra time put up + probably another 10min due to this current injury and hopefully a further 30mins and pens then a nice 4hr drive back to Nottingham
  8. He went onto say “With Hamza (Choudhury) on loan, in his position what we have is enough, so it’s good for him to make minutes. Will Alves is a young lad who needs minutes, needs to play, will be a better player when he comes back in the summer.” Doesn't mention Cannon but assume with Vardy, Daka & dare I say Eduardo ahead of him he was deemed surplus to requirement, so cashed in. For the wing positions he only sees Mavadidi, McAteer, BDCR & Ayew & in the absence of getting a new winger in I’d expect McAteer to be getting a bit of game time up to the end if the season
  9. Context, he’s impossible to sell if we don’t have a replacement for him is where RVN was going What that tweet doesn’t mention: For van Nistelrooy, it was never going to happen, especially not without any players arriving. The Dutchman has been keen on a new winger since he first arrived at the club, in order to replace the injured Abdul Fatawu, so was not going to further weaken his options by letting McAteer go. The manager said last week: “One thing for me that was very clear was that nobody was going out until there’s anybody in. I’m sure we can all understand it. I’m looking to bring players in to strengthen the squad, not for players to leave. That was, for me, unthinkable.”
  10. Preston vs Burnley Aston Villa vs Cardiff Doncaster/Palace vs Millwall Man Utd vs Fulham Newcastle vs Brighton Bournemouth vs Wolves Man City vs Plymouth Exeter/Forest vs Ipswich These games are set to be held across the weekend of March 1 and March 2.
  11. Will Alves getting 40mins (ET) with Cardiff currently
  12. He has to do something to protect the back and get bodies in the box so I’d be happy with something along these lines, however, I’d change Daka for FB putting him alongside BEK. I’m suggesting solely on looking at subs because we can then make changes without changing the shape. We have players to switch out the WBs with Thomas, Ricardo and 1 of JJ or WC depending on who starts. Daka for Vardy obviously. Then it gets a little more interesting for BEK/FB because we don’t have the skill set of them on the bench but we have enough bodies that could support a front 3 in McAteer, Mavadidi & the grandad twins obviously you lose the guile of the other 2 but you replace with confusion and speed for first option or for 2nd option the oaps are used to just fill the space if trying to see a game out? Then, and all depends on league we end up in and who we have to part with we look at specific position, the 2x 8/10 we would need to replace FB for a start, CBs at least 1 but we will have Souttar and Nelson back so?, WB, DMs, CF ?? We also have Fats returning, Alves, Evans, Monga, Braybrooke etc I think as you do this set up is easier to implement with the players we have & to add specialist players into the system, the current formation we are to weak through the centre, exposed at the back and trying to put players in positions they don’t excel in. Kinda lost me way there but to some up yes we need to change shape to be more compact at the back and provide options up front with bodies closer to Vardy
  13. Defender defending I don’t want to see Vestergaard back in the side now
  14. Have a day off people, so Galatasaray were going to break their transfer record to buy sideshow bob....really!!!! Current record is €18m for Sara btw
  15. @moore_94 @davieG Edited to save everyone the pain of the ads from the Merc page. Ruud van Nistelrooy sets out Leicester City first-team plan for two brightest prospects Teenage attackers Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga are two potential stars and van Nistelrooy says decisions over the next steps of their careers at City have already been made Leicester City’s talented starlets Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga will be included in the club’s pre-season plans this summer with a view to them stepping up to the first team permanently next term. Two of the brightest prospects to emerge from City’s academy, Evans and Monga, aged 16 and 15, have impressed in their first season at Under-21 level this campaign and have been training alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy’s senior team regularly. City see them as potential stars, but know other clubs do too, with widespread interest in Monga particularly. Van Nistelrooy has made clear that City have a plan for the duo. He said it’s already been decided that they will be part of the first team when preparations begin for next season, even though they will still be 16 and 15, with their birthdays not until later in the summer. So far, they have passed every test with flying colours. Monga, who plays on either flank, and Evans, who can play out wide or up front, have looked more than at home at Under-21 level, and both scored in last Friday’s 3-0 victory over Coventry. For Monga, curling into the far corner from 18 yards with his weaker left foot, it was another fine goal to add to his growing highlight reel. Evans, meanwhile, has now been on the scoresheet in three successive games and has eight goals in 16 starts for the Under-21s this season. Van Nistelrooy said: “Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga are very closely monitored by us in their performances in the Under-21s. Fifteen and 16-year-olds who are performing in PL2 on a regular basis and doing well there. At such a tender age, there are no guarantees yet that either will make it to the top. With Evans playing as a striker, it might be expected that van Nistelrooy, as a former forward himself, would be able to better determine if he will make the grade, but the Dutchman said that’s not what he’s looking for. “The biggest contribution for a player to make it is not position specific, it’s recognising the character and mindset,” van Nistelrooy added. “I can recognise that, which professional is the real deal and has the character and mindset to make it in this world, in top sport. That is the first thing I try to recognise.” Right now, Under-21s coach Leon McSweeney is one of the key men in ensuring their development. He says he's been left "in awe" by the talent that Monga has been showing. Speaking about Monga after last Friday's win over Coventry, McSweeney told the club: “Having the pleasure to work with him, the football pitch is his playground and it’s a joy to see that. I’m in awe of him, the goal he scored tonight, to see what he does in training. "We’ll keep pushing him, putting him in and letting him do his thing. He gives me pleasure as a coach to watch and it gives him pleasure to go on the pitch and do his thing. We just need to embrace that, provide the environment for him to thrive. Hopefully the first team come knocking.”
  16. He finished his playing career at BR at the age of 36 cutting short his contract in 23/24, he immediately became their DoF and has held that role for just 11 mths & people now believe he will be a DoF at a premier league club (in name ;-) surely not. Would have thought it’s more to do with a learning day out at a premier league facility &/or trying to sort loan deals out.
  17. It's been confirmed that Silko Thomas is back with Leicester & out for the season with expected recovery time of up to 5 mths, so assume ACL also. Real shame for the lad as he'd racked up 31 appearances playing a good chunk in each game this season for Wigan.
  18. Sam Kerr seems to have come from the same stable of self importance as Ronnie F’ing Pickering
  19. There can’t be many games where 3 of the 4 players registered with a goal assist were deep in their own half when they played their pass.
  20. Never wanted him from day 1 and wasn’t blinkered by the 6 cross field passes he pulled off in each game last season that man is stealing a living. Faes can do 1 also id go Coady and Okoli for the remainder of the season then get Nelson & Souttar involved + new CB telling Vestergaard he’ll be 5th or 6th choice if he wants to stay.
  21. Pound to a pinch had we announced a CB from Derby for £9m the cry would be Derby certainly saw us coming and Cashin’d…..over paying better value in South America, Sweden, ‘insert region’…. &…….ooh look preparing for the Championship Cashin, Souttar, Nelson sorted, but because it’s Brighton
  22. yep just trying to lighten the mood on a friday away from him & his circus
  23. I wonder if he took the same course as my missus & daughter?
  24. I do believe he has been training with the 1st team for a number of weeks now but only once a week that being a Thursday as the rest of the time he's at school.
  25. Yes the SCO job does seem to be doing the rounds but I also think he might have an eye on the SA job if Rassie steps down. I think if he got the Tigers job it would be short term. Rowntree would probably be a sensible appointment Tigers ledge and had success with Munster but wouldn’t Felix be an exciting appointment not been #1 but huge knowledge and brings his blitz which I’d love to see Kata & Perese lead in
