I am not his biggest fan but credit where credit is due he has done well in the championship playing in this ball playing roll…but He’s not actually performed this role outside of the championship, 1 because of pace and 2 because of system the sweeper keeper is a relatively newish thing for the “average” club. Fast forward to hopefully being there 1 will always be an issue the 2nd we now have a keeper that can back him to allow a higher line and as you say we won’t know if that will work against premier league teams until we try it. My issue with him is him, he has the air of someone who thinks he’s someone he’s not & I don’t think he’s got the minerals to lead the line in the premier when the 5hit is hitting the fan he goes missing. Another thing for me is his passing, I don’t mean the pinged balls to the forwards which he does well but the sideways 1s & the laziness in the way he executes them. He telegraphs his intentions to me in the stands let alone someone 6ft away and then the ball only just makes it to the intended target. This issue will be highlighted because he will be playing against International forwards, all blessed with a brain as well as pace, they will pick these passes off time and again and will have a free run on goal, this will then lead to a confidence issue with him going missing & the high-line withdrawing and him blaming all around him.

Sounds like Inter balls’d that up for him/themselves. I wonder if he will sign a pre-contract agreement with us in coming days, he knows it wasn’t just 6mths we wanted him for, he’s met Enzo, seen the training facilities etc and hopefully will be a Premier league club which brings the financial rewards. Doesn’t look like he’s going to be inundated with offers from the rich clubs so unless he wants to stay in his homeland with a lesser club there does seem to be a lot going for us as an option.

TV presenter Jonnie Irwin has died aged 50. Irwin, who presented Channel 4's A Place in the Sun and the BBC's Escape to the Country, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020. Such a shame 50 no age and leaves a young family behind. He was always so chipper and full of enthusiasm on anything he presented. R.I.P Jonnie

So those 2 latest updates suggest LCFC and Inter still negotiating terms so have the last 20 pages slating LCFC been a little premature, maybe it is inter that keep changing goal posts 🤷‍♂️
