I’m not taking sides on your spat, But I’m bored so will offer that Clive didn’t write that book - it was predominantly written by Humphrey Walter and references the work Clive did with Dave Brailsford and his ‘marginal gains’ philosophy. But that was based on changes to physical routines that shave fractions of seconds off performance data. He also forgot to mention that providing highly questionable drugs also helps! 😂. The training shirt is likely the exact same weight as the official kit - so it likely changes zero. But psychologically, I think there are advantages to not wearing the full kit yet - even if we had one! 😂

Psychologically, I think it’s actually a really sound tactic that suits this stage of the season and the occasion. I’d advocate it even if we had a kit ready to go.
