  1. That’s the well-functioning operation at MC that are facing 115 charges of financial misconduct?
  2. If he’s being offered that at this stage of his career, then we’ve learned nothing. He’s a genuine legend, and we all live the man beyond words, but it’s still a business and needs to be run like one. We’ve seen how it plays out when it’s run like a hobby. And it’s not good.
  3. According to BBC sport, Norwich fans singing this to Birmingham fans. This has made me chortle. By the end it had all gone very quiet, except for the 2,000 travelling Norwich fans who taunted their hosts with a chant of “Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, you’re going to Shrewsbury”.
  4. To be honest, I’ve got a bit of an issue with my right shoulder. I think it’s just a bit of RSI from sitting poorly when at my desk. But thanks for asking.
  5. I think he’d be a great signing on a free. Got some much-needed feistiness.
  6. Sadly not. It’s cool.
  7. I tried that once on a route that went past my station- but didn’t actually stop at it. Sauntered up to the driver’s window and offered him cash to stop for thirty seconds. You can all guess how that ended 😂
  8. Will it go past the two houses I need to call at on the way? 😳🤞🤞🤞
  9. Can’t believe I got the short-straw and ended up as the driver for the day 😞😞😞
  10. Yes, the Oxford fans will be scouring the fixture list in anticipation of a trip to Leeds next season.
  11. That was just about as good a night as anyone could ever hope for that doesn’t involve Lucy Beaumont …..
  12. Are any of our EFL punishments still waiting for us if we get relegated next season? 🤔
  13. Looking ahead to next year, I’d rather it was Maidstone and Yeovil.
  14. I’m one of many that has had serious misgivings about our football at times this season. But the players, staff, coaches and manager have my absolute respect for getting this club back to the EPL. Enzo might be a stubborn mule, but he’s now a successful one and for that we should all be eternally grateful to the man. Fabulous achievement.
  15. No words necessary.
  16. Love a bit of ‘circle of life’ stuff. Went with my mates and saw us clinch promotion in 80s away at Orient and home to Burnley, (I think it was Burnley). Now my lad has the opportunity to witness a promotion night with his mates live on Monday. There will, (hopefully), be a popping cork and a shared comparison or two in the TrentFox household on his return the following day……
  17. Where the heck did that performance come from? And, frankly, who cares! Superb night.
  18. Just seen a mock-up of the new kit that we can afford for next season.
  19. Is it that you think our season next year is 46 games long? 🤔
  20. He’s looks like he’s been on a diet of pie and chips?
  21. I don’t think it’s that black and white. The players look like they don’t have a modicum of flair, innovation or maybe even confidence. Maybe they’ve heard all they can about this style. It happens to all leaders - people reach saturation point and growth plateaus. It’s not unique to footy. Maybe a fresh voice, a different accent to our game might provide a freshness to our play, alrhiugh we all know it’s never going to happen. There are no guarantees, though; you’re right there. But it applies to Maresca, as well - there is no guarantee he can fix this. And right now, it looks unlikely.
  22. Lots of points I kind of agree with. All walks of life have people who are more keen to be ‘proved right’ over their starting premise than ever they are to achieve the targets that would probably make them happier. 😂🤷. Each to their own. And yes, there’s a lot of that in here, around every manager. He has indeed saved the club from the free-fall that looked a real possibility in July. Hats off to the man for that. But, for me, I don’t think the ‘sack him’ noises have any basis in reality as we simply couldn’t afford to do that without risking even more dire consequences. But the debate over the remaining games is completely valid. What’s done is done. And gone. But it feels like a momentous few games coming up and the fact that 75% of people who could be arsed to vote on a different thread feel that our odds of getting the desired outcome with someone different at the helm is a massive insight into the stage of the union. And not one that’s easily dismissed as entitlement, for me. 🤷👍
  23. Thanks for the advice re whether I should watch my team or not. I’ll be sure to treat it with the respect it deserves 👍
  24. That Saints winner is a real pain. They’d have been done if it had stayed at 2-2. Now they’re still alive and kicking for autos 😖
  25. Your last two posts tell people they are “actually pathetic”, “absolutely embarrassing” and “entitled”. It’s good that you haven’t overreacted at all 😂😂. Unlike those people you allude to, who are disappointed and angry that their club has meekly surrendered a 15 point gap, and now, (if they can’t turn things around rapidly), potentially faces a transfer embargo, a points deduction, the likely sale of any player worth keeping, potentially an extended period in footballing oblivion …… whilst being asked to watch a style of football that is exceptionally dull. Heaven forbid that those embarrassing/pathetic/entitled types dare to voice their displeasure with this state of affairs.
