Totally get the point you’re making. But for me, we are down to the wire, now. If we win the next two - and against lowly clubs in the league standings we must have a great chance of doing so - we are in a great place. If we drop points or lose these two, the pressure would be extreme. Don’t let that build or happen. We do that by putting the points on the board ASAP. This is the moment. This is what we pay those obscene wages for. Unless someone is on the brink of breaking down, they play at Millwall and Plymouth.

People seem alarmingly confident on this week’s games. Both Millwall and Plymouth are in genuine danger of relegation. They will scrap so hard and give it their all. Dropping points here puts us right back in the pack. Massive games. Massive.

Such a cheery thread 😞. But if the worst happens, I think Winks has more value than people are giving him credit for. Many teams in the PL would be enhanced if they had him in their team. He’s shown he’s over the injury niggles. Has to be £15m minimum, surely?
