Bonkers weather here in WB. Storm came out of nowhere.

It seems to be the hip thing in here to be behind this guy, but what has he actually done? Maybe ignorance on my part, but he just seems to have maintained the status quo of mid-table obscurity at a basket case of a club. Is that really enough to warrant this love-in … or am I missing something, (which is quite likely)!

Thanks for the input. Used to go to The Manor lots back in the day as best mate used to play for Oxford in their golden time. Soft spot for the club as also used to live nearby in Thame. Happy days.

If he signs for Wednesday, do we all sing “your wife is a grass” to him when he comes back to KP? 😉 In all seriousness, if he does ‘come back’ and the club don’t create a dedicated JV montage for the big screens pre-match then heads should roll. Ten solid minutes of him, his goals, his rustling, our trophies ….. and maybe a long-faced Harry Kane just for good measure. Hundreds of us on here would live to design that.

The idea of Martin makes me feel ill. He has such an objectionable persona. Coming on top of two previously disastrous appointments, I may have to look at what other winter sports are available if this comes to fruition.

Silva. Hands down. Everyone else - no matter how useless - has contributed something . Goals. Blocks. Penalty saves in cup games. But Silva gave us as close to zero as is possible. And cost a fortune, was totally embarrassing as a signing process and had zero influence on any game. Absolutely abysmal.

With the right signing up front, that’s arguably as good as anything in the championship next season. A new striker signing is absolutely vital.

The only good thing about this fixture is that I saved my ‘free hit’ and now have Ait-Nouri, Cunha and SL in my fantasy team for the weekend.

Both good players at that time. Ramsay a no-nonsense, fully committed midfielder who occasionally got slung in as a fullback, I think? O’Neill was a huge unit and presence in a developing team. Very reliable, tough as teak type. An old-fashioned boot-it-up-the-field type defender.

It won’t be a popular call with many in here, but I think anyone other than Dyche is an unnecessary gamble. The club desperately needs old-fashioned man-management and someone to call a spade a spade. Added to that, he has experienced getting teams promoted in one of the most arduous leagues in world football. Couldn’t care less about his ‘voice’ that some of our impeccably spoken contributors seem hung up on. Or even how dull the footy is, (it can’t be worse than Enzo’s). He just needs to stabilise a total shit-show of a club and restore some professional pride. It’s a massive, massive challenge and I’ll be genuinely anxious if they gamble with someone who needs to learn about this league on the job.

Their wages to be stopped? From what I can see, it looks like the only reason they show up.
