To have pulled in the best part of £24m for Kasey and JJ is spectacularly good business on our part. Both seem like really good people and I wish them well - but we need the dosh and these deals are excellent for all parties.

Suspect this thread is mainly driven by the Forest/Cov/Derby/fans lurking in our midst and green with envy. Disappointing to see City fans falling for that envy. It’s an amazing resource that belongs to an elite club. Yes, we are a long way from that, presently, but we’ll be back there again one day, soon. In the meantime, it contributes to the development of Alves, Monga, Nelson, Aluko, Page, Evans et al. That batch alone will surely more than cover its cost.

The judging of MC before at least the end of September would be wrong. We all know he’s inherited a broken squad and he won’t know who he will be able to rely on until this window has closed. Then he gets a month to work closely with them. By October, we should start to see what is likely to be our team/style for this season. So hope he succeeds with the crap hand he’s been given as he seems like genuinely good guy.

Yes to all of that. But winning a battle isn’t what it’s about. It’s about getting the best result for the club. Sometimes you have to just suck it up, within reason, foe the greater good.

All employees have disagreements with their company. Good leadership helps build bridges, not walls. We are better with Winks. Club needs to own his fall-out with RVN and re integrate. All of our futures look brighter if that happens.

Well articulated. 👍. And there is one of the issues. Fans expect players to be exclusively focussed on their professional role as footballers. Yet expect those same players to respect that the fans are giving up on their life outside of football to support their team. Perspective is required. Many of our supporters for have any. We all lose it from time to time with inept displays. Myself definitely included. But some never show anything other than hatred and intolerance. It’s ridiculous.

We need to acknowledge that a significant percentage of out fan base is moronic.
