I doubt we can afford to sack a cleaner, let alone the entire management/coaching team. Plus we haven’t got the balls for it. But in the mind-bubble of my alternative reality, rolling the dice and asking Nige to motivate them for a couple of games is no more a risk than letting this shit-show continue. Sometimes the real risk is doing nothing.

I think the style is great and it’s clearly working well. I think we shouldn’t change anything at half-time and should persevere with exactly the same faces and shape.

Why would we hand over control of our destiny to another club? We need to win 4. Then it’s done. Given that, I just hope we don’t go in for any of that silly attacking nonsense and just pass the ball around, aimlessly, amongst ourselves for 87 minutes. Nobody can deny he stopped us from going into free-fall, (and I genuinely worried that could happen preseason), and if he gets us up he’ll always have my total respect for doing so. But the football is horrendous and has sapped all the joy out of watching.
